In the castle town of Midland, a new king has come to power through treachery and violence. His agents victimise the citizens, until one night when a soldier known as the Black Swordsman destroys them. Yet, between the strength of a young mercenary named Guts and the charismatic Captain Griffith, their country will never be the same.

This is the Original version, the animation is a little dated but it still have the raw action and compelling story line. There are some sections in this that are not included in the remake as well. Its worth picking up if you are a big Berserk fan
