After Lionel is shot and wounded, Jonathan is arrested. But Clark and Pete perform their own crime scene investigation and realize that more than one person had the opportunity and motive to harm Lionel -- including Lex. Meanwhile, Lana becomes suspicious when her lawyer father, Henry (recurring guest star Patrick Cassidy), mysteriously refuses her request to defend Jonathan.
