Apparently the Escape Collective doesn’t receive a lot of reviews. I assume this is because most regular listeners pay a subscription and thus have made their opinion known to those who care the most. Though they have my money, there have been a number of occasions where the hosts have, in quite a needy manner, requested listeners to also post a review. So here goes, if only to provide personal and professional emotional validation for Caley.

Escape Collective is the best podcast network for cycling fans out there. Love that almost every day is relevant and entertaining content. Changing the way that media is done. Love it.

Not only are the team legends, but they are putting out content that you can’t, and won’t find anywhere else. If you’re planning on spending any money on cycling, make this the first place you do. Support journalistic integrity and some fine humans too (and not just the ones you hear on the podcasts).

Journalism in cycling at its finest! Unbiased tech breakdowns, excellent racing analysis and the latest news from the industry. TdF daily coverage was amazing.

Such a fun listen, really hit its stride in the second week!

I’m a big fan of the Pretty Serious Bike Racing, Wheel Talk and Placeholders pods, so it’s great to have them all in one place. A brilliant blend of expert analysis and humour.

I’m also particularly enjoying the TDF daily pod, with its BTS colour and the updates from the Giro Donne all in one beautifully wrapped package. Thank you Escape Collective!

Extremely professional cycling journalism with a sprinkling of humour. The tech episodes are super informative and I love that they’re going to touch on mountain biking too.

Growing up Outside magazine was thick and full of great stories and ads from less known brands. I loved it, as they developed the ads became more mainstream and the took up much more realestate, meanwhile the content became more formulaic and the magazine became thinner and thinner without dropping any advertisements. When outside purchased Cycling tips I knew it’s time was limited and it was either going to be merged with other outlets like Velonews or become crowded with advertisements and thin on content, as well. It is my opinion that Outside magazine is having a very negative effect on the segment of the industry they represent.

As a Velo club member I was super bummed when they laid off the core of their podcast staff, I haven’t listened since.

But then I came across this new podcast, and I am so excited to see the crew together and creating engaging content, with a whole new lease on life. Keep up the good work and I’ll stay tuned in.

I can’t wait for you guys to start your media empire!

I’ve never really been into podcasts but listened to this while doing my FulGaz session instead of my usual music. Really enjoyed it. These guys know their stuff and are entertaining as well. As a 67 year old who has returned to cycling after a few decades away, it’s good to learn new stuff (eg disc brake fluid changes) and to have other things confirmed (eg HRM straps!).

Love the 'new' found freedom.

The placeholders have a new found freedom in discussing news and opinion around professional road cycling. The guests are great and the hosts’ knowledge and camaraderie make this a delight to listen to.

Excellent podcast with some of the best in the industry. Light-hearted, interesting and doesn’t take itself too seriously with a broard range of topics. Excellent theme music which I would suggest should stay and could be used more during the show.

I, for one, welcome our new cycling podcast empire overlords. I enjoyed the "inside" jokes and look forward to more of the same. Xylophone music needs a random slide whistle sound effect to really jazz it up. Otherwise, it's perfect.

Show gaining greater focus and example was this weeks racing and technical commentaries. For episode 3 (2.5?) it is encouraging. I want you to succeed- keep it up guys. Tech session definitely needs to be 'Rome Alert'!
