Description

Starring Kelly Reilly (Pride and Prejudice, The Libertine), Michael Fassbender (300, Hunger) and Jack O'Connell (TV's Skins). The city couple Jenny and Steve are eager to get away from it all. The idyllic, picturesque surroundings of EDEN LAKE seem like a perfect spot for a secluded, romantic weekend in the country until they realise the remote woodland isn't as deserted as they'd originally hoped. Soon their paths cross with a gang of local youths, who begin a campaign of terror on the couple. Suddenly the weekend begins to evolve into a sadistic game of survival and escalating violence, with a surprising and shocking climax. The UK answer to FUNNY GAMES - EDEN LAKE Is an intense and provocative horror/thriller that relentlessly feeds on modern fears and crosses over into territory that most contemporary films wouldn't dare to tread. Excellent real life story, very easy to watch and understand. Very enjoyable. I watched it twice in 2 days and would watch it again. It's 5 stars all the way from me.

Good story!

Seriously???
What a shocker of a film. Felt sorry for the actors. Very very bad. Do not waste your money. Can't believe the good reviews on here!

Truly unsettling!

A long time horror fan, over 25 years now, I find that whilst I still love the regular slasher and gore films, movies like this scare me more. Being able to dismiss others as 'just a film', this one leaves you unable to escape the incredibly slim border between movie and reality.

amazing, i have never seen anything like this

Excellent British acting and casting. None of your Hollywood almost-30-somethings trying to be teenagers. Real teenagers and they are nasty.
The suspense is maintained well and the plot remains believable and realistic, especially the ending. No spooks, vampires or incantations from the Catholic church to miraculously (and unbelievably) save the day. No Hannibal Lectors either. This is simple, believable horror born out of the dregs of 'ordinary' humanity.
Be prepared to be deeply unsettled.
