I have watched many films over the years, but never one quite like this. From a historical and cultural perspective the film is outstandingly true and immersed in valid depictions of the time and people. The cinematography is breathtaking and some of the scenes put other films, if not reality, to shame. The music enthrals you and sends you into a trance, embracing you within the scene, and the characters are awe inspiring. Going into this film it’s important to know what you’re expecting, this isn’t the type of movie for everyone, despite it being a masterpiece. This is an art film, with everything working together to achieve immersion and a sense of satisfaction and gratification, whilst a plot does exist it isn’t the main focus of this type of movie. What the film focuses on is delivering a living, breathing work of art that is intended to convey a message and communicate on the interact realities of vengeance and anger.
