Description

The Secret Garden tells the story of Mary Lennox (Dixie Egerickx), a prickly and unloved 10-year-old girl born in India to wealthy British parents. When they suddenly die, she is sent back to England to live with her uncle, Archibald Craven (Academy Award® and BAFTA winner Colin Firth), on his remote country estate deep in the Yorkshire moors. There, she begins to uncover many family secrets, particularly after meeting her sickly cousin, Colin (Edan Hayhurst), who has been shut away in a wing of the house. Together, these two slightly misfit children heal each other through their discovery of a wondrous secret garden, lost in the grounds of Misselthwaite Manor. A magical place of adventure that will change their lives forever.

I love this movie so much but I recon the house that she lives in needs to be more pretty modern and happy not dark old and spooky

I took my granddaughters to see the movie and thought it was a little on the “dark” side. Could have been a lot better if the boy Dickon had more little creatures in his pocket (not only the mouse) or on his shoulders or following him.
Colin wasn’t thin or sickly looking apart from having a white face he looked quite healthy. I don’t think the film needed the house fire as it wasn’t in the book!
