Charming!

Funny, sad, relatable! A great story told from character perspectives. Did take me a while to get into it but once the characters became familiar it was hard to put down. Enjoyable read.

A lovely read

The truly likeable yet flawed characters really drive this book, making it hard to put down. Once engaged by the struggling sole mother family and endearing but naive rich software developer it is impossible to put down. Saved from sugary sweetness by the brutal realities of recalcitrant noncustodial parents and of living in a difficult neighbourhood, this book is satisfying on all counts and is nicely written, from the main characters' perspectives.

Fantastic story

A story of a family that doesn't meet the standard 2.4 and is all the better for it. Jess is really down on her luck but is always optimistic, she has to be for her children. When she meets Ed she doesn't think much of him at all, but a mad road trip to Scotland for a Math Olympics just may change all their lives.
This is a wonderful story, it made me laugh and it made me cry. It was full of desperation, love, disaster, hope and joy. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant

I loved this book and all the characters very different to anything I've read before. Jojo Moyes has a unique style that I love. One of my new favourite authors for sure. Looking forward to her new books.
