So I’ve been recommended this author before and I’ve been hesitant to read because I find historical novels can be hit and miss. But holy moly I shouldn’t have hesitated! This authors writing is amazing. It was written from numerous points of view, which I normally don’t like as it feels like ‘cheating’, however it was brilliantly done in this novel. I can’t explain, it was like first person but maybe third person (if this doesn’t make sense it’s because I’m not a writer). Anyway, it was brilliantly written, I love the characters, the connections and the sizzle. I’m never sure how it’s done but it was so well written, at times I felt their feelings were my feelings and I really loved this book.
