A Tour de Force

Very entertaining, a good yarn or series of yarns, but much more than that. A series of interwoven stories point to dystopian futures but also to a vision, a hope of working towards a better future. I'll look for more by this author.

Very well written and enjoyable

Cloud Atlas is actually an awesome book. Every story- though some of the dialogue was hard to understand- was a great read and had a great plot. While it is quite serious, (An Orison of Sonmi 451 was great but the content was quite disturbing) I found it quite thrilling, enjoyable and also hilarious. It is a must read for all science fiction readers or any readers in general.

Cloud Atlas

Put simply......this is one of the most creative, intelligent and thought provoking books that this middle aged book devoured has had the pleasure of reading. It's in my all time Top 10.

My new number 1

This book is now number 1 on my list - a well-crafted page turner that captures you and draws you in to the lives of its main characters. While you are there you are promoted and prodded to think about the impacts of our actions on the present and the future. A must read!

Main body, a work of high standing. Conclusion, disappointing.

Aimed for poignancy, but wouldn't have had it in even the teens section.
