Brilliance again from the author. I absolutely loved the female lead in this book, she was perfect because of her imperfections. She was smart, yet irrational, she was at times self-doubting yet had so much sass and oomph. Her thoughts were real and raw and I loved her. The male lead was flawed too, I feel like we didn’t get his complete story, he claimed his woman had him pegged but it didn’t explain which has left me wondering - who did he protect growing up? A few editing errors, particularly towards the end (a few thrust/trust spelling errors), and despite this the writing is still brilliant. I loved the profanity, the zest and the realness of their thoughts. Another 5 star book.
