This is a powerful contemporary novel that intricately weaves a diverse range of themes into an eye opening take on race, identity, cultural diversity, high school, and the pressures on teenagers. All while being very easy to digest and totally appropriate for high schoolers who experience the same issues as the characters, as well as those who don't. Both would benefit from reading this honest and eye opening story. Highly recommend. I would love to see this book on the school reading list for high schools all across Australia.
