This game is downright amazing. Some of them I can’t complete but it’s a puzzle game! That’s what it’s for! But it’s amazing how it knows if you plugged in, turned off, turned the volume down. And took a screenshot! This game is amazing and I hope they win the apple designer awards again. This game is such a chef’s kiss.

This game is breathtaking as it brings in the system of the phone and the surrounding environment to complete the brain boggling puzzles!
This game has left me speechless this is the first time I’ve played a actually challenging game. The one problem is… it needs more levels even though the starting ones are pretty challenging, you should add a difficulty section that divides them in a different part of the game, maybe once you finish all the levels it will show you the difficulty from easy to extreme.
Overall, the game has a interesting idea that isn’t used in many other games which surprised me, not one of my FAVOURITE games but it is up there in the top 5!
Ps. Im going to share this with my friends and watch them try to solve the puzzles and see their reactions. :3

Most impressive trivia
I’ve never come across a trivia game that stimulates my problem-solving skills in such a way. I’m genuinely stumped by a few of the challenges and I’m trying to get a friend to play it too (not going to say why here) but overall this is a fantastic game

One of the most creative games I’ve ever played
This is one of the very few puzzle apps which genuinely had me thinking outside of the box. I cannot tell you how smart I feel when I manage to figure out how to fill a square. It’s also a really fun way for me to get more familiar with my phone and test my memory as to just what this little box of metal can do.
Also, love the little secrets you’ve added in, developer. Won’t give anything away but it’s super cool to have explorations in the app rewarded just as much as completing a level.
So worth the money I spent for all the levels. Hopefully your game reaches more people because this is some of the most fun I’ve had completing puzzles in a very long time.

I love this game!
This game is so fun! But it’s also hard don’t get me wrong. Unlike other games, they don’t really force you to get the premium because there are so many amazing free games. I love that for some levels, you don’t just get it for finishing a level, you actually have to do something, like a secret level. Anyways, I absolutely love this game, and totally recommend it.

This game has one flaw
That is that you can’t play it through again for the first time. I recommend this game all the time to people who are looking for a challenge and love using their iPhone. The sounds, haptic and graphics make for a very satisfying game and is one of the only games I am more than happy spending money on in-app purchases.

A Game from my Dreams!
Since about 2013 when I got my first iPhone, I’ve been imagining a game like this that integrates the features of the phone into its puzzles. I always wanted to make it myself because I never found an app like this but gave up on the project quite early. Almost 8 years later and I find out that Blackbox has been out for 5 and I didn’t even know. It was an instant download and purchase upgrade is a no brainer.
This game is amazing in its simplicity yet fun through the challenging puzzles and clever design in play. It has surpassed anything I envisioned back then and will continue to surprise and amaze moving forward. Truly one of the best games you can get from the App Store and it will keep you coming back for more.

I’m quite amazed with how creative this game is. We’re so used to touching the screen for everything now that it’s crazy that to solve all the puzzles requires no screen touching at all. I still catch myself pressing the screen out of habit but I love the idea that you can solve the puzzles without it.

Is this app compatible with IPhone 11s? Because the tutorial was barely working for me (I was tilting the phone but almost so response at all) and when I finally passed that none of the levels responded to movement or actions at all, people are talking about comment and statements I didn’t see anything like that also I got a square that was yellow with two lines outlining the shape; I didn’t know what that was supposed to be and there so no like information tab to refer to so Idk maybe that would be a good idea of a thing to put in but yeah, disappointed because it seemed like fun.

I truly think this is an amazing game. It really makes you think and when you complete a challenge you think ‘why did I not think of that before’. This game deserves so much love and support because it’s so well done. One of the best games out there if not the BEST.

One of the levels, the one where you press the volume buttons and the off button, requires you to press the home button. There’s just one tiny problem... I don’t have a home button. Also the levels where you have to share the game is kinda annoying I just want the puzzles

The only game I would ever spend money on
It is so rare to find a free game that is made purely for fun and intrigue that doesn't bombard you with ads every ten seconds. This is one of the most fun and pleasing apps ever made and the ingenuity behind each puzzle is amazing. All these reasons leads me now believe that the developer is worth feeding and the cost of the full game is completely worth it.

I have only just discovered this game and honestly shocked it took me so long. I love the out of box design and thinking that keeps the game moving and you coming back for more and more. The snarky comments of when I try beat the system rocks and I can’t wait to see what more I discover and shake my head at. Its innovative and low key tech savvy smarts required thrown in and gives great accomplishment when you win a task. Definitely a game I’m happy to spend some dollars on though wish I could have hints on Easter eggs 👍

Great game but...
This game is one of the most creative games I’ve ever played! It required innovative solutions and an open mind to try and figure out how each challenge clicks together. There’s one challenge I can’t get, number 9, the orange one on the top right side. I’m 99% certain I have to mute it, but once I’ve muted it it won’t work. I’m not sure if this is a glitch or just my phone. Help me out!

An amazing game that is constantly pushing the limits you didn’t even know existed. It is a great game to play to get you thinking outside the box. Lighting up a box feels like a hue accomplishment, especially when you’ve been trying to figure it out for a while. This is such an amazing game that is free! Really interesting
I can tell that the game developer had heaps of fun coming up with ingenious ways to make games out of nearly every aspect of regular features of the phone. They also came up with fabulous snarky comments about what whacky things people were likely to try in order to figure out how to solve some of them.
This game is a really fun puzzle where your phone is the game board. I’m still working on some of the trickier or more involved challenges. Highly recommended!

This app has me locked in to find every little hidden secret that could or couldn’t be in any nook n cranny within the game. I feel as if there are many more challenges hidden that are seen normally, and I won’t spoil the ones that are...
Even with one last square to light up, the creators get you to use your phone in a way where you may have never even thought possible, to solve the simplest puzzle/riddle, and always got me questioning how or if they could actually do that.
Either way, a must have app, and I highly recommend if you want to be stuck playing it!

This is the best game I’ve ever played. You will spend way too long trying to figure out some puzzles and kick yourself when you do.
I don’t want to give too much away, but the developer is very clever in his self promotion and very cheeky.

Needs more for free
I love this game. It's absolutely great and really gets you thinking. Although it takes quite long to get through the levels there are only 50 free. I would much rather have to watch more ads (for extra hints ect) than to be limited to only 50 levels. Other than that. Amazing

Very happily surprised that the dev replied to my rating. Maybe some more levels? I’m yet to complete all the free levels so I haven’t discovered anything that I don’t like about the game. I haven’t bought any levels either so maybe I should... I love the look of the game but it has seemed to crash/freeze on the rare occasion on my iPhone 6.

Best. Puzzler. Ever!
This game is a hard one, let me tell you that. But it's so....rewarding when that box you've been working on for a week goes 'bongggg'.
It's very satisfying and lots of the puzzles will leave you lost for words and thinking: 'how did he do that?'
My relative hooked me on this game, and I've become so engrossed in it I bought the extensions just so I can have some new puzzles. You can laugh at me if you want, but this game really is that good!

This game is a perfect little time waster for when you are bored, it doesn’t push you to spend money or crowd you with ads which is better than most games on the App Store. I also love the concept of how you use the functions of the device like wifi or brightness. Just a warning to future players though, there are a few levels that require your mic, location or camera. The game will ask you for permission for those which is good.

A great game! I’m hooked and I’ve gotten my family hooked onto the game as well. We have been playing non stop for the past few days trying mostly in vain so solve all of the puzzles.
Loved the game so much I was willing to spend money on it... until they changed the prices on me.
Didn’t realise that the prices would change on me and become doubled, I would have acted faster and bought the pack. So now I’m just stuck trying to solve the same ones over again.
Great game, you’ll most certainly be racking your brain for the answers, but beware of mysterious price changes...

What a creative rarity
I’ve read reviews but I think few tap into the game’s import: its creativity based on nothing other than the most down-to-earth everyday experience with iPhone, and what curiosity and freshness it brings forth! (Warning: Spoilers Ahead) Whether it is the fingerprint verification process that miraculously fails 3 times in a row (in one of those days), or summoning Siri to launch the game, black box stems from iPhone and successfully creates a sort of invisible intimacy and unity between the game, iPhone and more importantly, Life with iPhone.

You need to play this game.
This game is one of the best iOS games out there. The puzzles are challenging, constantly have you thinking ‘wait, he can do that?’, and lighting up a box never fails to bring a smile to the player’s face. An awesome game, you’ll be constantly wishing there were more puzzles, even after purchasing the two expansion packs that are even more amazingly difficult than the base game (not to mention the mostly hidden meta based puzzles that are just so satisfying to uncover and solve).
A challenging and self-aware puzzle game with capabilities we weren’t aware were even possible when it came to iOS app development as well as a modern, sleek, and very thoughtful design from a witty developer come together to create Blackbox. You must play it.

Such a good app... seriously makes you think long and hard. We spend so much time on our phones that you’d think it would be a breeze lighting these boxes up. There are some days where you want to launch your phone across the room and other days where you want to squeal with excitement for getting a puzzle right.

I love this game, am completely addicted and I think I'm so good I should get the paid boxes unlocked for free.... just throwing it out there. Ryan btw I love your sense of humor and yes the view is beautiful out here and Maybe i am a heart surgeon AND rocket scientist😉
I have one pack left to purchase and it will definitely be worth the money

Epic but hard puzzle game
(I NEARLY DIED WITH RAGE PLAYING THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I love the game, but I think it's annoying that you can't like earn hint with adds of something and it's hard,but I think you could add a easy level
This is a great puzzle game
I wish could just let us have all the sections of puzzle free and in the next update u should add a daily bonus of hint credits to make it much better and easier
Great game but a bit no lot too hard u need to add hints coz i did one that was completely different

Decent game when it does have puzzles
Honestly, some of the puzzles are fun, but when the solution is “Share this game with a friend!” or “Rate this game on the App Store!”, it’s not a puzzle.
Spoilers:
Some of the solutions are very demanding- I believe one requires you to check the game hourly for 24 hours? And apparently another needs you to travel far enough and get to a high enough altitude to complete it. While I appreciate the sentiment, it’s not so much solving a puzzle as filling in a to-do list.

Definitely all inclusive!
What an incredible experience!!! Not only… Has there been much design and thought into the implementation of this gaming experience. As a totally blind user of voice-over on the iPhone... The attention to details invested into the accessibility of blackbox for those of us with special needs also... is very much appreciated... and other developers out there... should take note and follow the example of Ryan McLeod... who is truly worthy of not only for 2017 Apple design award... but for many more California burritos to come.

OMG GET THIS GAME !!!!!!
I love this game as you have to think outside the box I may need a hint once and a while but it's worth it. if you love challenges Then this game is perfect for you. If you are one of these people GET IT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!!
And if the maker of this game is reading this please make a sequel to this game with more challenging levels THANK YOU GUYS!! 😀
