Watch Bluey, Play School, Giggle and Hoot, Peppa Pig, Hey Duggee, and so many more in the ABC Kids app now!
The ABC Kids app is available for devices running iOS 11 and above. Watching ABC Kids on any Apple device is metered regardless of your service provider. Due to rights restrictions, ABC Kids is geo-blocked to Australia.

When I was little, I got this app. I watched so many videos and now I’m older. I got it. It looks so much different from when I was little. this is toddler-friendly This new version is so much better it also has big kid stuff and timers. But one thing can you please add locks so you can lock some videos if you think your child can’t watch them? And you think your child wouldn’t learn good stuff from it please 🙏 and add some more shows. Bluey has so many amazing episodes and characters but I think there should be a Halloween episode and more at school.

Doesn’t work
Literally just doesn’t work. If I tap onto a show it just says “Program is This is my new iPad I’m using it on, so it should be fine, but it isn’t. I’ve tried everything. Re downloading the app, clearing my windows, turning my iPad on and off, etc… but nothing works. This app gets a solid one out of ten. And that’s me being generous with my rating.

Sooooo I put a 3 stars because when I tried going on a episode to try it out, it just went blank. I literally just started and it didn’t work so I’m very sad so I put a 3 star review. I did it with bluey because I saw the news and it said like they was a new episode that kids think that there allowed to sit in the front seat, so I went and checked it.
It didn’t only work for bluey episodes, it did it to ALL episodes. I am very disappointed and I wish you could fix it. I’m maybe gonna try it again later, but if it works I will do a 5 star review or if it doesn’t, I’m just gonna leave it there. Thank you for reading, bye!

AMAZING but a bug
ABC Kids has a variety of TV shows in it and it is very entertaining. I love how it is free and it is made for kids. I also definitely love how there are sometimes subtitles which I love.
Although the app is amazing and all, sometimes my app crashed and it really bothers me because I get interrupted. Besides this, I certainly love this app and I still enjoy it as an older person.

This app is really good but, once you get out of it and in it pauses, and sometimes some of the episodes disappears, it take about a two weeks to get them all back, in two days then you will get one to watch. if you like to watch the inbestigators then that will happen a lot, if you don’t know what that is and you don’t know what to watch, then I recommend to watch that.
Sometimes the volume goes a bit glitchy if you keep on changing. But other then that this app is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and no ads. only about new episodes that come out!

Great shows, terrible app!
My little one loves watching Bluey and Play School. So we watch it on the ABC kids app. Unfortunately there is a major error with the app. When she watches an episode finishes and another episode auto plays, the screen stays continually dim with the “Next episode in: 0 seconds” in the bottom right corner. The episode will play in the background but this pesky screen is frozen on top. It’s been this way for a very long time and we have tested this on a few different tablet devices. I hope they fix it as it’s super frustrating having to go out and manually select an episode to play.
ALSO! The home page doesn’t rotate from portrait to landscape. It permanentlystays portrait, which makes it harder to use for my little one.

Where are the New Episodes
I love this app so much and when I saw there were new episodes coming out for Bluey I was OVER THE MOON!! But only one episode came out on April 9 on Sunday . That was the episode cubby it’s now been three days since then and NOTHING I don’t know if this is happening to other people but it sure is for me is there a way to fix it?

The most unresponsive app out there
Where to start? The biggest problem with this app (which has driven me to warn other suffering parents) is if you need to stop the program (due to getting your child to eat; clean their teeth, etc) and promising / ensuring them you will be able to start the program where you left off! Absolutely not!
This app doesn’t allow you to simply stop & start like other streaming services so much so you have to disconnect wifi; reconnect; start the series of programs and find the initial program your child was watching and then scroll (which is also a separate bug bear for me which I won’t go into here with this app) and then try and get back to where you stopped. When you have 2 other kids in the background screaming too you just don’t need it. I found most these shows on Netflix & Disney Plus so I’m using that now.

Won't stream
Your app is refusing to let me stream to my tv, have been able to stream before with no issues, now it won't even come up with the icon to stream, I've deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times and as soon as I click allow it to connect to my network the icon disappears.
This app has been glitchy from the get go but this is just beyond annoying and why I'm only giving 1 star.

You could make a show called “ the elf “ where bluey and bingo read the elf story and go to bed then the next morning they wake up and go to find the elf! We loved this app, so helpful for grandparents to access the children's favourites. Unfortunately we are not able to use anymore because you need the latest technology to do so. Dear Auntie, the feds cut your budget, they cut ours too. Please consider before you make your apps exclusive for those who can afford to update their IT every year; some of us are still using equipment purchased during the Gillard government .

Was good but recent change has made things difficult
We currently use this app to stream shows like bluey to the tv. We used to be able to stream the entire series but now we suddenly can only see one season at a time. The episodes are so short that it loops way too quickly and he gets bored of watching the same episodes over and over. We have to manually change the season to keep him entertained. If there is a way to change it back or a work around it would be great.

Not as good as it used to be.
We hadn’t done a proper update for a while and very disappointed.
The version we had scrolled horizontal, the new one up and down. Meaning the. Page now looks cluttered and younger children get frustrated with up and down.
The app is now slower to load crashes more frequently and keeps asking me to allow programs for older children (which I don’t want).
It’s also sucking the life out of the iPad’s battery. Initially thought this might be the iPad, so tried on different devices - same story.
The content is still fantastic - the app isn’t as good as it was.

Keeps adding new shows without parent consent
Feedback to the developers: I am very selective about what & how many different programs I expose my young child to - I’ve reduced it to about a dozen shows. I find it very frustrating that most times I go onto the app, a new show has been added, without any announcement to parents when the app is opened. Every time before I give my child the device, I have to go into the ‘filter content’ setting and scroll through the list of 150+ shows I’ve already removed and check no others have been added in. This shouldn’t have to be this way - I’m switched on enough to know that your one-off program filter isn’t an all-time filter but many parents wouldn’t know this. Its a pain to keep filtering specific shows and having them coming back up again when a special Christmas or Halloween etc episode is released. If the filtering process is being used, please request parent permission before adding new shows yourself.

We used to use this app to cast to the tv with the iPad to watch the shows, but the cast button doesn’t appear anymore. Checked both iPads, tried resetting and also tried deleting and reinstalling the app. No luck.

Parent friendly feature request
Thanks for making all this great content safely available for our little ones.
I see lots of families are asking for what we would like so just thought we’d support the cause too.
Please allow us to filter to a small number of shows. And please, please please allow the timer to be set to let kids finish an episode rather than cutting out mid show.
A little warning for them to show that screen time is almost over would reduce ‘scream time’ too (I hope!)

A few changes needed to make it 5⭐️
Overall the app is quite good, however there a a few tweaks that needs to be made to the settings to make it even better.
Yes there is a timer, but it would be even better if you could set it to lock after an episode, so frequently I set it for 10mins and the shows that we watch are 7mins it less each, so it starts playing next episode. Then the episode gets cut halfway through and next minute I’ve got a tantrum on my hands that “it’s not finished yet”.
A filter for age appropriate shows would also be welcomed instead of having to manually filter out this myself, I don’t have time to watch each different show to do that.

Disappointed 😢
I bought this app so I could show my little sister all of my childhood shows. I was devastated to find that so many great shows such as, the koala brothers, franny’s feet, Blinky bill, Barba and the tales of Badou, 64 zoo lane, The pajanimals and the Wot wots, just to name a few are no longer available to watch. There already many new shows but they are nothing like the ones I used to watch. This app still has good shows though so it’s not that bad. I am very disappointed with it though.

Hi there. I love this app. So does my 2yr old daughter. Sarah and Duck is her favourite show. (Please don’t ever take it down)
I do have one request though, it would be amazing if you could put a screen lock on it (like Netflix has for the iPad app version) so the little ones can’t keep stopping, pausing, playing around with it etc.

Upgrade scream marketing ploy
This version screams marketing tactic to promote all shows rather than displaying targeted shows that are pre-approved by parents & preferred by toddlers/preschoolers. This is not simply a design look/feel refresh & instead a complete overhaul of the entire display. Even when you go to the parenting controls to re-tick the shows you want to display, they don’t show up on the “home page” like they used to - how can we show that? This is utterly disappointing and defeats whole purpose of having parental controls & limiting what children can watch.

Disappointed with the update
My Autistic son used to use this app everyday. The older version was simple to use for young minds and it was the only app my son actually knew how to use. It is now very complicated and he no longer knows how to use it. We are heart broken for him because this application was one of the only things that he showed interest in and something that he looked forward to. Now he cries and gets very emotional because he can’t watch his favourite ABC theme songs by himself so we have had to stop using it. I love this app
I love this app , my whole family does! The new update does not bother me, no matter what this app is one of my top favourites, and I wanted to say I love every movie, but I do wish it will be longer. Bluey is one of my most favourite, it just relates to reality, you know what I mean? I love the style of cartoon and all the things they have in life, I really love the settings and everything, I hope in the future my love for this app will never go away.

Needs to be more toddler friendly!
I would absolutely LOVE some kind of child lock feature on this app. Every time my toddler has my phone she constantly turns off the show she is watching by accident then I have to restart and find the right place again. It’s so sensitive with the touchscreen and there’s no way for her to hold the phone or iPad with touching the screen. It is such a pain!!! Could you please consider a feature where only a parent can switch the cartoon off? Perhaps something similar to how you download an app now on the iPhone? You have to double click the side button before an app downloads. This would be so handy for this app.

Was as a great app
For an app aimed at children under 5 the new update has over complicated it. My little ones can’t read so all the extra sections are redundant. The original lay out was great, probably could have used a bit at the top where the favourites were but it was great for little ones. Why the change?

New update doesn’t deliver
We loved the old app. My son could watch what he wanted and could find what he needed, when he wanted. Now he is shown things the app thinks he might like to watch and becomes frustrated looking for what he likes. It’s not great for him to be flicking through shows when he usually chose from just a few. This app seems to think children under 4 have the same requirements for an app as an adult does. Also as a parent, long episodes no longer show the total episode length, therefore we think my son is choosing a ten minute episode before bed but find out it’s a 58 minute fireman Sam movie. There are major problems with buffering too, the episodes used to move seamlessly from one to another but now it pauses to buffer the next episode. The previous format that showed previously played episodes in a table format at the top was also easier for little browsers. Luckily we still have an old iPad with the previous abc version on it.

New Version too Complicated for Little Minds
One big plus for the app is the content is great, however new version has over complicated the process of finding it.
Previous version was nice and simple for my child to scroll through the content. New version’s user interface is way too complicated. Search? What 3-7 year old is going to use that? Shows grouped into categories? Again, not relevant for kids and complicates the experience.
Fine for parents to search for and understand content - and can only think the UX was done with this in mind and not tested on little ones.

Recent update is buggy
This is a staple app in our house! We’ve used it daily for a few years. The old version was great, it was simple, toddler-friendly and had helpful and functional parental controls. The new version seems to have removed most of these and made the app far too complicated for solo toddler operation. There’s no longer any way to see how much time remains before the timer expires, and there are now arbitrary groupings of shows that are irrelevant to my kid on the home page. She likes what she likes and to find her shows she now needs to select the search function down the very bottom to bring up the alphabetical listing. Otherwise she can’t find all her shows properly. The icon to stream to Apple TV is ridiculously close to the closed captions icon which means it’s difficult even for an adult to use without mistakes. Worst of all, it seems to dump the user out of the app completely after each episode finishes. So parents hoping to shower in peace for 20 mins have to intervene after each episode. It seems the the developers threw the baby out with the bath water this time.

Good and bad
This app is pretty good but it needs to change the BAD part the bad part is when you watch to many videos it just goes blank/ doesn’t work any more I would give it 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but I can’t unless you change that.
And the good thing about the app is the some of the videos are funny and makes me and my little sister laugh a lot and the thing that makes my little sister laugh is the show bluey 4 things that make my little sister laugh is when bingo the parrot says
what-you-want-a-craker) and when bingo says ooger-booger to her dad also when they play neighbours and there dad moves next to the mum and makes a lot of noise and last is when bluey is a mum and rusty wants to play mums and dads and bluey thinks rusty wants to be a baby and bluey takes care of rusty like rusty is a baby

Great but audio continues playing when iPad is locked
Not sure why but when the iPad is locked/screen turned off with a show running, the audio continues playing (I think due to airplay, which iOS doesn’t give me an option to disable... we don’t use it, kids watch on the devices not tv)
Would be great if this could be sorted - we often tell the kids to turn their iPads off and then we have to turn them back on to kill the app.

Great but needs fixing.
This app is great, especially for the young ones. My son loves it. But I’ve noticed these last few months that it keeps crashing in a way. It plays the shows then it notifies you there’s a problem and then I have to restart the app. It always happens. This needs to be addressed. Besides that the app is great and fun.

Casting option.
We love Abc Kids app. Its safe to leave the kid unattended with, they cant watch something they shouldn’t like on Netflix.
Id give the app a 5 star rating if there was a casting option. The kids have chromecasts on their tvs and id even pay for the feature of being able to cast ABC Kids to the tv rather then Netflix and having to monitor them every couple of minutes when using the tv rather then the tablet.

Keeps crashing
We absolutely love what abc offer through this app!! However, annoyingly every time we change wifi’s (leaving the house) it crashes. So frustrating, needing to reload it each time on both of our kids iPads (one iPad is old and one new). We have no problems with the app on our phones.
Any advice would be helpful.

Great when it works - useless when it crashes (often)
Only solution to frequent crashes is to turn your device on and off or reinstall the app 😡
Haven’t seen a fix for this after almost 12months of using. Really infuriating! If the internet/WiFi drops out on any other app, you can usually just shut down the error page with an X but this app doesn’t offer that. Please please fix it please!
Unless you’re secretly trying to teach toddlers the art of patience 🤷🏻♀️

My opinion
My little brother loves this app soooooo much he asks me evrey day to watch it, but there is one small problem why have a app like this when you clearly need wifi? Like when you are at home and you can watch it but if you go out somewhere like a boring restaurant you can not watch it because this app needs wifi.

It gets out of the app when using AirPlay on Apple TV and the next video it links on the Apple TV and here please update the app immediately too Match problems keep the problems away
The app please and get some of the video and say there is something wrong with the Internet please check your Wi-Fi but I check it on problems and I got TPG it was confusing it is not good a lot of problems It not good if you do not fix the app 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬 too much problems with this app fix it now immediately

Keeps crashing
I have applied MAC filtering to my home router. My iPad internet connection works just fine. However, when I use the ABC Kids App it will flash up an error that the internet is not connected with a black background screen yet I can still hear the audio of the video. It happens on all videos selected. Other devices (iPhones and iPad all with the same most recent iOS) run the ABC Kids App just fine. Have emailed support and get the typical (unhelpful) advice it’s a network problem. Really! How can that be the answer without an error log?

Excellent App
App is great for providing safe entertainment to the little one, I’d like to make one suggestion - could we have the option for an episode limit instead of a time limit - we like to keep “TV” time to 2-3 peppa pigs and though they run close to 5 minutes a pop, if she takes a little time deciding which episode to start with we can chop the end off the last one for the day.

I don’t understand
I love this app! It’s really good but, on the television it said that there would be a different languages that you can watch, but when i open it, there only Chinese, and I’m not Chinese, I’m Korean, so can you please add Korean, and also if you could do this to, that when you open the app and go to the setting, can you add the section that said “select language”?. If you can do that, that would be fantastic!

Great but 1 Suggestion :)
Love this app, it has saved me many times. Easy to use, my kids love it! I would love to see it compatible with Chromecast though, that would be amazing, I would even be willing to pay a minimal monthly subscription fee for this if it was an option.
Also my son has set Peppa Pig to a different language, not sure how to change it back or perhaps it’s a blessing in disguise 🤣 haha

Great content, just needs CHROMECAST integration
I'd rate this app much higher if it had the following features:
1. Google Chromecast. It is an essential integration for any video content app. Please include it in the next release.
2. Playlists and Shuffle play. The great thing about watching ABC Kids on broadcast TV is the mix of different shows. The current state of the app encourages ‘binge watching’ of many episodes of the same show.
The ability to create a playlist or run the app in shuffle play would give users (esp. parents) the ability to either shape the programme of shows or at the very least, add some variety. Even better would be to have ‘shuffle favourites’ or ‘shuffle all’ options for shuffle mode.

Crashes when too many shows are filtered
I have seen that another user has experienced this too, and I read your reply -keep at least 30 shows ticked when filtering, and that’s fine, I will reinstall it, again, and probably use it for now, but I really loved this app because I could filter it down to a bare minimum of shows, all the agreed upon favorites! With less to choose from, my kids don’t get so overwhelmed when making a decision; and they tend to share favorites and agree on shows; and we feel content knowing anything in the selection is all parent-approved. I really hope this gets restored in the next update like you said. It’s such a good feature. Otherwise, this is a brilliant app. When the update that restores this comes out, I will write another review. I just wanted to let you know how important the filtering feature is, and why we like it without a minimum.

Crashes for me
I love this app but the App keeps crashing on my IPhone. I’ve always used the show filtering for my toddler which is excellent as she feels she has control over what she wants to watch, but I get to restrict her to a bout a dozen shows I know are quality and positive.
Since the latest update the app generally crashes when I’m unticking shows in the filter and then it just crashes over and over as I’m booting it up. Even when I restart my phone. So a big fix is needed if I’m going to keep using this.
Also as an aside i personally dislike that every time a show is added to ABC it gets ticked on my filter and I have to go back to the list, find the show and untick it. As this happens almost every time I get the app out for my kid it gets wearing.

My 2 yo & I love this app but it needs some bug fixes
Thanks for making this app free and available for everyone, however the app needs some bug fixes at least for the iPhone version, audio keeps going while the visual freezes and my toddler gets a little frustrated when she can't watch her favourite shows because it freezes after 10 seconds usually. Thanks for your time 😊
