Drops makes language learning an effortless fun. Practical vocabulary is bound to your memories through beautiful graphics and quick mini-games.
The crazy part? You have only 5 mins per day to learn German. Might sound insane but works like a charm! :)
These are the ingredients of the secret sauce:
100% illustrated: Pictures directly carry the meaning - you don’t have to use your native language at all! No intermediary. Faster, more effective and of course more fun for German learning process! :)
5 min sessions: limiting practice time sounds crazy but it it makes it incredibly addictive - which is cool thing for learning. The barrier of entry is close to zero so you can’t have any excuses: you’ll have 5 minutes even on the busiest day!
Effortless play: We know why games are fun and addictive and distilled the essence into Drops. The result is a truly immersive experience but it’s not waste of your time while you play because you build a valuable knowledge.

Exactly what it seems.

Don’t get the app expecting language lessons, use it as a vocab and habit builder.
While obviously 5 mins isn’t ideal, you can still study terms and everything just fine outside the daily timer. I’ve found it especially helpful in actually building a routine and my vocabulary, and I like the degree of freedom in the (relatively) non- linear design of lessons. I’d choose this over duolingo any day.
If I was to be nitpicky, I hated having to complete the unit on numbers as to take the checkpoint test, as I was already fairly confident and it droned on. I wish you could complete checkpoints before ‘mastering’ a unit.

Learning new words and phrases everyday

Really good app. I am using it about 15 minutes everyday and I am learning a lot. J am learning new words and phrases everyday. Doing their exercises over and over again also ensure you don’t forget what you’ve learnt and that it sinks in.

This learn German because it’s interesting ways to teach you the language it’s repetitive nature helps me words stuck in my head so I never forget them the only problem is is that you have to pay for most of it you can use it for 5 minutes a day for free but I recommend checking it out if it was free easy 5 star because Duolingo is free with ads so that’s a idea to still make money but have customers happy great app though

Well designed app, unfortunately very expensive

I have downloaded every app imaginable to learn a language and drops is by far the best. Perfect pronunciation of the words and the visual pictures for the words makes it super easy to quickly learn. Although, it’s a shame it’s so expensive. The deal for premium that drops offer is currently 60% off making it $15 monthly, $60 yearly and $250 for life. Keep in mind, that’s 60% off! If it was more affordable i would be very happy paying. Most people who want to learn a language just want a quick and easy way to spend a few minutes/hour a day learning it. Unless you’re moving to a different country and need to learn the language for a citizenship test I can’t imagine yourself or anyone else paying that amount. Apps are supposed to be affordable. If I wanted to pay that much I might as well be paying for language classes. Without premium you have very limited access. I have to wait 10 hours for another 5 minutes on the app. It’s designed to make you want and pay. Shame too, it really is a well designed app.

This app is amazing.
It’s so cute, has all the pictures and the animation is amazing!
It’s perfect for learning a new language.
I just hope the annual subscription isn’t that expensive, as a student I can’t afford it so I have to use the free version.
Really hope developers get to make more app like this for different languages!

I would try it

This app is quite good. It helped me memorise my foods and eating actions quit well, the only bad side to the app is you have to pay to have unlimited time but besides that amazing.

Great sequence for learning: lots of repetition plus association of visual and audio stimulus as well as activities that involve producing the words. The gender of nouns is also provided; that’s definitely a plus. Suggestion:add a few phrases, not just single words.
