Can no longer use app
I exclusively fly Emirates where offered, really disappointed the latest app update makes it impossible to use with phones using ios 17 and earlier. I shouldn't have to spend money to buy a new iPhone if my old model is working, just to use certain apps.

Slow and clunky and required to log in to unsubscribe
I really really really am annoyed with Emirates with and the fact that they don’t follow most rules where you should have a one click option to unsubscribe from emails but no they make you login to unsubscribe and then you get into there and the app keeps on failing the website fails every time you try to unsubscribe.

Quite poor inside
I still cannot understand how one of the largest airlines in the world cannot afford a proper QA run of their app. E.g.try editing your profile - you’ll get stuck on blank pages, your dob will change on its own, etc etc. Even the itinerary page sometimes stuffs up flight durations

Display on Apple Watch
I have an Apple Watch Ultra. The Emirates Apple Watch app does not display correctly on the Apple Watch. The sizing of the information display is not correct and the pagination needs fixing.
Also the display on the Apple Watch closes for no reason.
Clearly Emirates is not prepared to spend the money on fixing its Apple Watch problem. I raised the pagination issue a long time ago.

Do not fly with Emirates
I have booked a Qantas flight from Brisbane to London and a code share flight from Dublin to Brisbane. I am unable to book seats on the Emirates flight home despite spending nearly 2 hours on the phone.
After that I was told to phone Qantas and there has been no resolution
I know some of the seats have already been booked and I’m happy to pay a bit extra for extra leg room and I know there are some of those seats available.

I changed my return date and lost all my outgoing seat reservations. When I try to select, I keep getting a technical error message. Now we will not be able to travel together, and I may end up with an unwelcome middle seat.

I often go through a travel agent but this time booked via the app and it was easy to use, easy to find the flight options I wanted and even better I was able to use skywards points that u had accumulated without needing a specific amount, saved over $200 on a flight so all in all win win and 5 stars!

Currently almost useless…
App locks up whenever I try to manage a booking or check in (“we have a technical problem at the moment”). Well d’oh! yes you do. Have tried logging out and back in, as well as re-installing. Only workaround is to use the website instead. Love all the other aspects of flying Emirates so this level of problem is quite a surprise. Please fix.

Hit and miss
The app functionality in terms of looking at flights is absolutely fine. Easy to navigate. Then as soon as you try to do anything of consequence - I.e. see the cost of/try to book flights it crashes back to the dates selection page. So therefore, if you want to use the app to book flights, it’s not useful. Other things like seeing your skywards status etc. seem to work

The App doesn’t supply any skywards information ie previous trips points activity statement I have reported this multiple times over last 3 years and still no fix
We have been travelling with Emirates since 2002 and the service has declined to non existent once you could ring and speak to a Skywards consultant but those days have well and truly gone - Platinum Member

Out dated and falling behind
For one of the biggest, progressive and innovative airlines in the world, Emirates still, after all theses years have not developed an app that; a. works, b. is up to date, c. has more functionality, d. User friendly and much more.
Emirates competitors and even small fry airlines are years ahead of them with their app development.

Unable to view trip details
Downloaded app but unable to view my trip itinerary. When I tap on my booking in the My Trips section, I receive an error message “Sorry, we have a technical problem at the moment. Please try again later.”
Tried reinstalling app multiples times with no luck. Will have to manually print out itinerary to be safe.

Doesn’t work for your trips
The app hasn’t worked correctly on over 12 months. You go to your trips which show up , you try and open them and always a sorry technical hitch . Have spoken to them in Dubai about this. Have to keep using the laptop instead of the phone.

Confusing
My partner and I have been travelling to Europe and back to Australia. We were on seperate booking however I have entered both frights into the app - I am the main account holder.
Throughout trip it has allowed me to check my partner in on line but doesn’t allow me to check in online?

Navigation on mobile is quite difficult on the app when it comes to the back action (arrow top left) when browsing movies. It is too close to top of screen. please change as quite frustrating.

The app interface on the ipad looks like an enlarged version from an iPhone. This makes it look less professional and needs to be redesigned to make it fill entire screen and make it more ipad compatible.

Unable to access features unless you book through Emirates?
I have booked flights using Emirates through qantas and using my qantas frequent flyer number.
Due to this I cannot access any of the features? Like trip updates/ playlist syncing etc?
I chatted to Emirates who agreed it wasn’t possible.
The app itself appears useful but it seems irresponsible to exclude so many of your travellers
Happy to be wrong about this. If I’m not may I suggest that would be an incredibly useful update

Perfect tool to start a perfect trip
Perfect tool to prepare for a perfect trip. Thank you for putting it into my hands. It is good to know that two days prior to my trip I am already checked in and taken care of. Emirates always taken care of me and it is good to travel with them again.

Good but often asked for details already provided
Good for the most part. However it is frustrating that when managing a booking or checking in that it asks for passport and next of kin details that are already on file.
What make matters worse is the app often won’t accept the details when you enter them in. This bug needs to be fixed going forward.

Crashes constantly
The app crashes constantly when I’m using it in Australia and my friend from Ireland has the same issues. This can be extremely frustrating when I’ve spent time putting in information e.g. card information when trying to select seats, for it to then crash when I submit the request.

Couldn’t print boarding pass
App seems ok but I don’t understand that if you want to print your boarding pass the link it emails you does not work on the iPad. Then of course you can ask for mobile pass but it doesn’t work unless you have internet access, which can be tricky if you don’t have data or can’t get online at the time you need to board. Would be good if can fix this please

Excellent for a frequent traveller
Excellent app. Works perfectly with my iPhone X. The strong aspects: intuitive, fast, convenient features. I use a lot the checkin menu to prepare my electronic boarding pass ahead of the trip. Handy to have indications such as gate number, notifications as when the boarding will open, carrousel number. I like as well the follow up of my loyalty miles. Very solid as well since I haven’t noticed any bug or experienced any app crashing. Enjoy!

Travelling from Brisbane Australia to UK and then back to Bris
Been so great to get early notification on iPhone re checking in, checking out seats etc. We flew elsewhere on Jet Star and although they have an app that is similar, we couldn’t actually check in online via iPhone, it gave no indication that you couldn’t actually check in with it, and had to seek out a hotel laptop to check in. Such a pain. This has been excellent and gives us peace of mind.

Not bad
I couldn’t print the boarding passes from my safari , it says:
There is a warning:
You have selected to email your boarding pass to print it later. This can’t be opened or stored on a smartphone device. Please use your computer to view and print your boarding pass and bring it with you to the airport.
If you wish to download your boarding pass on your mobile device, you can go back to online check-in and check if your departure station offers the mobile boarding pass option.

Check in through “Manage” section is rubbish
The app is easy to use when you don’t need to check in. However, it takes ages to connect when you want to check in using the “Manage” section. It eventually hangs, you have to shut the app and the alternative route to check in would be through the “Notification” section.

Buggy - session timeouts
It’s a shame but things seem to have gone backwards with recent updates. Carrying out functions such as selecting seats or booking cars often results in “Sorry your session has expired” even after re-starts or reinstalls. I appreciate you are hooking into a bunch of back-end systems (some of which are probably third party) but maybe caching what the user has requested in the app and having a retrying capability if there’s a timeout might be a reasonable compromise that might have people less frustrated?
