DISREPUTABLE organisation - you'll only GoGet when you try to cancel your plan

My plan was cancelled via app on 05/05/20 and confirmed by phone with GoGet staff. The data of renewal would be on 21/05/20. The first surprise: they tried to charge $35 with regard to the renewal fees denied by my bank. The next day, 13/05/20, I called them explaining the issue and they said: "The issue is solved and finalised, we are going to cancel the transaction and from now on nothing will be charged from you." After a month, on 11/06/20, the second attempt to charge my account, now $30.18. The same say, GoGet was contacted and again, the same speech: "The issue is solved and finalised, we are going to cancel the transaction and from now on nothing will be charged from you." The story continues when on 26/06/20, I received an e-mail of URGENT overdue renewal fees, $27.38? What? The curious detail is I tried to login on the website and there was no record of pending debts. I did nothing this time. Then, on 06/07/20, I received another e-mail of URGENT overdue notice referring to the attempt to charge my account on 26/06/20. The following day, 07/07/20, I called again GoGet support and again without surprise: "The issue is solved and finalised, we are going to cancel the transaction and from now on nothing will be charged from you." I thought the issue was effectively solved when on 13/07/20 a $27.38 pending transaction pops up on my bank account statement. Again, the following day, I called them explaining all of the facts and this time I was told: "The issue is solved and finalised, we are going to refund you in up to 48 hours." More than 4 days, no refund has been set or will be received. I don't recommend this organisation at all. The poor customer service is outrageous. They say something and do another action completely different and always at their benefit regardless the customer's will or what is fair to do.

The worst service forever

We booked a car at 7:30am for our morning travel. However, when we at the pod there was no car in the pod. That really effected our travel and made us late. Cars have no fuels often. The fine for the early pick up or late return is so heavy with 25/one time. I will unsubscribe it!

Happy customer!

So I needed a van to move my furniture ASAP and GOGET helped me achieved that with in 30mins to sign up and start driving the van. The customer service people were so helpful and friendly. Great service!!! Cheers.

Excellent service

I’ve been a GoGet member for 3 years now. The system is so functional and excellent value. Whenever I need a car, there are heaps available in pods very close by. It’s like having my own car! They are always clean and the customer service has been excellent. Highly recommended

Still problems

Retry the app now and again to see if it has improved. In my last 5 minute try out here are some problems
1) Clicking on the car name to see where is located crashes the app.
2) car list is still not in order of closest to walk. Not sure how the list is devised but I have to ignore it and always have to look at the whole list to find the best car to hire. I would never use this list if I needed a car in an unknown location.
3) can’t select car from map.
4) go from map selection to car list and then back to map -> app crashes.
Finally made a booking after multiple attempts. (Hence 2 stars) But going back to the website or a call.

Unable to Sign up

I was relying on GoGet this morning to go somewhere and when I signed up, my payment failed and I have been trying to sign up since last 2 hours but couldn’t get through. They have also charged me from my account but still it shows that I need to sign up

log in does not work

You have not changed the requirement to write your email address on the log in page, instead of
account number, as previously replied to here in reviews.
It it impossible to log in by resetting your password as this does not work and just returns you to a screen saying incorrect log in details, no matter how many times you go through this process.
I have no idea what I was charged as I cannot log in.

Poor functionality of goget app

Can’t see port details on map in this app.
Can’t see previous bookings on this app.
The functionality of this app is so poor for everyone. I bet most users just want to operate and check things on app on their smartphones rather than old school webpages.

Complicated process and accounting.

Had booked for full day @81 AUD.
Dropped car earlier and asked to close the trip.
They did it and charged 98 AUD.
While doing- first extended trip by one day and charged 198 AUD by error, then after correcting charged more than one day charges.

Does not work on iOS 13.1

App opens but then closes straight away. Only see the "Finding cars near you" screen and then it does. Reboot and reinstall doesn't do anything... iPhone 6S. Does anyone actually test the apps between releases?

Good service, but the app is a bit average

Really useful service- but the app can act up a bit- the other day it directed me to the wrong car, plus it can be hard to look at goget cars available at a different location then I’m at. Would be great if i book on the quarter hour as well.

Not Convenient

The fuel cards fail so often that it even says on the site that you should expect them to fail. The back up option is to pay yourself and they’ll reimburse you - but the point of go get is convenience - it’s not convenient to go through the process of getting reimbursed, especially on a company account.

Rent the car per one day and receipt

I am enjoying take the car, but sometimes when I book the car it is not available because the car park is closed. I know if I go dipper on the information about the car I will find it, however should be easier do not show the car if the car park is closed.
Also the bills I do not know how to check how much I have to pay and when I will pay it.

Shall return to its dedicated parking spot

You have to notice that
1. All trips have to be round trip - you need to return the car to its dedicated pod in its own specific suburb.
2. Some people do not return the car to the right place. If you hire that car, which you have no way to know if this is the case or not prior to booking and paying in full, you are expected to return the car to its right parking place in its dedicated suburb. Goget expect you to drive extra on your own time and money to return it to its dedicated pod (which you did not know about before booking and paying)!!!

Poor service

The fact that I have been charged for a second vehicle when the first one was not available at the time I booked it is inexcusable.
When I arrived back I phoned to informed them that I was unable to park and was asked to go out of my way to take a photo of the car in question that was in the spot. And email it to them and the. Park the car elsewhere. How is this fair to me... as a paying customer

Disappointed

This service seems to be for the wealthier end of society. I thought it might be great give that my car was written off and I was needing an easy way around but sometimes even to get to a car seemed not worth it.
I was getting quotes of up to $90.00 just to use a vehicle for 3 hours, which didn’t include km’s. I honestly just thought it would be a more user friendly service.

I always forget my card and then my account expires

I only use go get occasionally but whenever I go to use it I’ve either not got my card on me or my account has expired again.
Surely you can unlock the car with the phone? So I don’t have to carry the card around?

Shorter current booking extension to fifteen minutes

Would be great if the booking times can be every fifteen minutes instead of every half hour. Booking for an hour and extended by fifteen minutes before the the current booking ends depending if the vehicle in not booked after you.

Brilliant Innovative Concept

Enjoy using the GoGet service here in Melbourne and great seeing the carshare innovation taking off in Australia. The GoGet App is very basic to install and use, I’ve always had reliable customer service as well. Never encountered a problem from booking to pod location to drive, exception being previous drivers leaving rubbish in the car. What’s with that? Hopefully, in time, will see a GoGet pod down in Geelong where a “rival” carshare is flourishing.

I just register and downloaded the app on an iPhone 7 on the latest iOS and when I go to login, the app just crashes.
I have to book online. I hope for Go Get I am the only one this is happening to.

Return to sender

Possibly the worst aspect of goget, is having to ‘return’ the car to where you got it. What an absolute farce. This makes the whole point of using these cars useless. It does ensure, they get a descent payout as you have the car sitting in limbo while you do your business. Then have to return it. I’ll be looking for an alternative, just as soon as I’ve moved house.

Great app

Goget app is very easy to use. Probably only a few things it could do better, such as; show location of the car when not in the POD. Show real pricing (eg if you have the insurance options on) the headline hourly rate is lower. A km’s cost guesstimate in the pricing would also be good. And finally it would be better to be able to report issues through the app rather than via an sms, email, or phone call. For example if some had parked in the bay I could take a photo and attach

Fuel Card Doesn’t Work and Won’t Reimburse Fuel

Their fuel card doesn’t work in their van Americo (have only ever used this one van twice to move will never use GoGet again if they do not fix this). I do the right thing and fill the van to the top with E10 fuel and their card doesn’t work when paying. I had to pay $79 on my own card and was under the impression they would reimburse for fuel, which is their big sales point over other car share services. I then read on their FAQ that reasons a card won’t work are 1. The incorrect fuel is bought (only E10 or Standard Unleaded will be paid for) 2. An incorrect pin is used 3. You have taken a car which was not the car you had booked (seems impossible to do if their key/scanner system works efficiently) 4.
A technical or admin error. They state they will credit your GoGet account with the money spent on fuel or your credit card if you’re a business account holder. As a car owner who only used this service for the ease of being able to use their van to move I find this ridiculous. My request for a refund to my card has so far been ignored. Hopefully this review will get me a response now

Terrible and the customer service is even worse

This is one of the most shocking apps I have ever used. Poor UX/UI, full of bugs, lodge a support request and it sends you a notification about a damage report.

Something to be aware of GoGet/Hirers

I used a GoGet the other day, arrived at the car, unlocked and drove to my destination but...BUT never realised there was damage to the driver side bumper until I walked back to the car from behind and noticed some very minor damage. There was no previous info provided to the next hirer that the car had scratches and duco damage. Obviously a previous hirer had not reported that damage and when that happened.
As you would understand that has serious ramifications to the next unsuspecting hirer who could be financially affected by that damage.
Therefore I suggest that GoGet, when the hirer arrives at the car, and turning on the ignition (but not driving away) to signify the new hire period, take photos of the car immediately before driving off and where there’s any visible damage, that damage is reported and recorded before the new hirer drives away. A second set of photo of the car all sides when returning the car to the pod and send 4-6 photos of the car to GoGet. That becomes GoGet’s record of the outer appearance of the car- before and after hires. Therefore photos shows the time they turned in the ignition and when the car has been returned; end of the hire.

Can’t open App after updating

I updated the app yesterday (to the latest version) as the update stated it fixed a bug that caused the app to crash. Now the app crashes immediately upon opening, and will not open at all.
Ironically, I never had any issues with the app crashing prior to installing the update which claimed to fix the crash!
Anyway, as it stands, I can’t access anything/open the app at all... please fix!!
