This app is a great tool and quite simple to use to find those great get away escapes.

Terrible app, doesn’t even let me log in
The app is slow. And while it is up to date it does not allow me to log in! The “sign in” button is present through the app , but clicking on it just do nothing. I have made sure to restart the app, the phone, and checked internet connection, the app is up to date, and yet nothing. This is not the first this has happened to me on the Jetstar app, it is hard to understand a company with the level of relevancy and number of lights in a country like Australia just have this basic level of software competency. Also even when checking online it is hard to see history record of flights and bookings, providing very little to no info. I have some flights from only a couple years ago, that seems to have never existed. At least I kept an email that confirms it does.
Please Jetstar, of you don’t a phone line because you don’t believe in customer service, at least provide a decent app or software where people can do their booking and navigate through their bookings without assistance, because you honestly are not fit to assist people these matters

No clear baggage guidance
In the app/site, it would be so amazing to include the checked luggage limits that are INCLUDED into the ticket paid. All over the site, the only info i could ever search point to the costs of oversized baggage, outside of the limits etc. But nothing specifically would speak about what those limits are. Freaking sales model to keep the customer in limbo and charge then twice more in the airport.

There’s no provision to book multi city eg fly into Phuket Thailand, and return from Bangkok Thailand. Only one way or return. All the good airlines have the 3rd option of multi city. Please rectify. Until then I’ll keep booking other airlines.

You do not care about anyone only money. You don’t reply about the luggage until it’s too late and it’s so pathetic. You ‘shut the gate’ to early even when the flight isn’t leaving for another hour or more. You make people pay more and more money but try to be the ‘cheapest’ and most ‘efficient’ airline but you are AWFUL. Would not recommend flying with these people l. Cannot book using app
Ongoing error messages when trying to book a flight making this impossible: Apple Safari link within app “this connection is not secure”, leading to “Safari cannot open this page because connection was lost”.
I’ve booked and tried to book numerous flights over the past month and Jetstar has done nothing to fix continuing errors in their app, including this one and a “I am not a robot” checkbox screen that does not operate properly and only returns to the same screen over and over again. These unmanaged and ignored app faults prevent the ability to book a flight.

I have tried to log in through the app and website as a member but returned with an error message multiple times. And when I tried to book as a guest with my email. It said I'm already a member and asked me to log in but it doesn't recognise me as a member to take me to the member section.
It's not a great customer experience. Please look into the login page for both the app and website.

Flights to Perth
As my daughters live in Perth I often fly Gold Coast to Perth with Jetstar and return. Lately they have greatly improved this flight, mostly on time, it’s a long flight in cramped conditions, the flight attendants seem to be more friendly. I would recommend this service.

Definitely makes checking in easier as the app allows you to do when you arrive at the airport and all your details are in the one place.
Longest trip to Thailand just before the world changed forever due to Covid. During Covid we went to Darwin… lucky to live in the Country. 😊

Direct to book
Direct to book with the Airline “Jetstar” that you want to flight with and You will find better deals sometimes with their App. It is easier see too as it is only the flights of Jetstar. If you can’t find it is suitable flights then go to other App. Some destination that only Jetstar do the direct flights from Adelaide so that I would prefer Jetstar first. Only I experienced Jetstar that flights will be often cancelled and usually late night flights. However Jetstar is very responsible to organise hotel, transfer and inform you what will happen OR reimburse your expenses if flights is canceled.

Stuck in “I’m not a robot” loop
I can’t get the app to work since the update. It’s just stuck in a loop saying ‘confirm you are not a robot’. Ironically then when I go to ‘help’, the virtual assistant (robot) can’t help with the issue either. And keeps saying you can live chat in the pop up window - but there is no pop up window. I’ve tried signing in and out and closing and opening the app it’s making no difference.

I was just served by the most amazing customer service representative,
MAURICE CANDY.
When he took my call, I was on the verge of crying and having a panic attack as I had booked my flight to the wrong destination, after hearing my query he went right to it.
Not only was he professional, he was very polite and thoughtful enough to keep coming back to our call to assure me that he was doing his absolute best to fulfill my request.
15 minutes into our call I thought to myself, even if he can’t fulfil my request, I’ll be okay because i know he really tried. There’s so many customer service representatives these days that just have no people skills or even care, but Maurice was the total opposite of that. 25 minutes into our call, Maurice comes back on the line and says “It’s sorted Huliana” in his cute pinoi accent. What started off as a nightmare ended up being the highlight of my whole week. 🥹

Earthquake
Had travelled by bus for over 3 hours to get to airport, receive a text just 5 hours prior that Jetstar had delayed the flight by a full 29 hours due to an earthquake in Bangkok. After shocks, danger or not knowing where to stay in bkk - Jetstar no help or care. Finally get thru live chat, advise her I need assistance and flight Sydney to Melbourne, (Thai airways were Still flying and I had to get home due to health reasons) but I have 8 kilos carry on. She Books the airfare and when I get to Sydney I have to pay extra for luggage. That flight was also delayed! The email communication was you can cancel and get refunded, which i did. Received refund, the worst exchange possible. And then they cant refund in full, $20 is for voucher for future flights. So that's the last time I fly Jetstar.

Terrible airline
After two recent bad experiences where they twice bumped me out of an exit row that I paid an upgrade fee for without any notice or offer of compensation, I’m never booking this terrible airline ever again. And the (not so) funny thing is ,I overheard even worse experiences from other passengers, including someone who was bumped out of a Qantas flight, again without any notice or offer of compensation (they were shocked) into a horrible regular Jetstar seat on a flight from Perth to Sydney. This isn’t just false advertising it’s fraud and theft! I shouldn’t have to constantly monitor my flight and seat choices before a flight to make sure I get what I paid for, nor should I have to go out of my way to even request compensation. Yet that is what this company is, and the staff on board are rude and don’t care, as if it’s all normal and I should just accept what I’m given regardless of what I paid for.
If there are unavoidable changes they should be informing people and compensating them AUTOMATICALLY if your seat is of a lower standard or class, yet they don’t. Some people who are tall need extra legroom and so when we book AND PAY for it, it should either be provided or the the passenger significantly compensated. 5 hours is a long time to be in horrible discomfort because this airline failed to deliver what it promised.

The Jetstar app now actually works. Wooohooo! For many moons, it would actually just shut down inexplicably halfway through the process of booking anything and was useless to use. You had to use the website instead. Thank you for making it work at long last.

The Jetstar app is very efficient.
Unfortunately it doesn’t compensate for the predatory corporate policies which apply to All corporates in the Western world.
It would be nice for a person to say
“Jetstar is very generous”.
Of course no-one would never say that they would say
“it is cheap and efficient”.
And the Bean Counters who control the world would say that is a good response.
Because they do not care about anybody all I care about is money money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money..
But JetStar doesn’t really care about anybody except itself,
However, as the world is progressing JetStar will find that having compassionate policies is actually good business.
Well maybe they’ve learnt this. Maybe they haven’t.
I don’t expect so yet but they will; and a test of that will be of course if this review is printed
- if it’s not printed it means they have not learnt to think & are still stuck in the predatory policies where there is always someone who will say - we can make a few more dollars by doing this - because they like many people do not care about anybody else except themselves

I recently flew with Jetstar a few days ago, I have to admit that I was very nervous considering all the negative feedback from people and media. But having to book an urgent flight for family reason, Jetstar provided the most affordable prices. So I just had to ensure my carry on luggage did not exceed the required weight, I arrived early to the airport following the clear instructions provided by Jetstar in the App. The flight staff was awesome, and the flight itself was great. I found Jetstar, to be a great airline, like all airlines they have cancelled flights but you are important to the airline and will get you on the next possible plane. I need assistance when flying and have found all the hostess’ are polite and very helpful and with this you still don’t need to pay exorbitant prices to get the same quality flight. Happy flying.

Generally very good as I frequently travel from Darwin to Cairns - However , your direct flights have been cancelled & now Qantas link/ Alliance operated the service. I’m unhappy with the doubling of the price, late departure time from Darwin & the “ SARDINE BOX” of an aircraft. Aside from AIRNORTH as an option I’m surprised as also my fellow travellers that the ACCC or equivalent have not begun an investigation into the competition and fair trade behaviour .

Glitchy when enlarging pictures
App is easy to use and full of great information. My issue with it is when enlarging the photos or scrolling through them it goes into an error page. I would like to be able to filter out holiday packages and have an option for comparison also. The option to enter travel dates and locations for future sales would be great also.

Best prices for travel
I just recently started to use Jetstar and they have been the cheapest for flying interstate as I travel to and from Sydney to Brisbane and have also booked family. I would recommend Jetstar to any of my family and friends .

Qantas bookings and Jetstar App
Booked flight on qantas using frequent flyer points. Booking reference for Jetstar was provided (not the Qantas one). Tried adding trip to the app but was not working when I was signed into my Jetstar account.
I had to sign out and continue as a guest for the trip to show up on my app.
Lots of people report this problem. Hopefully there is a fix on the way. Should be able to add the booking with reference and email when signed into Jetstar account.

Suggestions on App
Couple of things that would make the app better.
1. Set it up so that it works (rotates) in Landscape on an IPad as that is the default for all IPads and at the moment we have to turn it sideways to use.
2. The robot detector having to verify and sort pictures to access the app is old school and annoying. Surely you can come up with a better way of detecting AI searching for the cheapest deals?

I find the Jetstar app very easy to use. I book myself in 48 hours before my flight is scheduled to leave. It also gives me updates on what gate lounge my flight is leaving from, and an update if there is going to be a delay.

It’s good, but…….
The app for me is really good but when you book a flight and you check it on the app it doesn’t come up with the day you fly. I know this isn’t a problem for a lot of people but being a FIFO worker and the roster changing from some Tuesdays and some Wednesdays, it gets a little bit frustrating. I know it’s not a bad problem, but it wouldn’t be hard to fix on this app. Please rectify.

Trip to Bangkok
A lot of people I know bag out Jetstar but I’ll have to say I had the best flight to Bangkok. The check-in took no longer than five minutes and the flight was on time. My return trip was just as good they open the gate 3 1/2 hours early I was able to check straight in and the flight was on time again. I definitely will keep using Jetstar. Happy customer, Darren

Voucher frustrations
I have used a voucher and completed my payment however no booking number and not able to find booking , had to miss trip last year due to life saving surgery had insurance however Jetstar issued a voucher not in my name but my partners so it’s cannot be used if I want to fly solo, then when I used it booking not recorded yet voucher debited never get a credit voucher should have been refunded in cash as original trip was nearly $6,000 in flight which I paid with my credit card

This app is easy to use and understand. It is clear what is included in your flight and there are multiple options to choose. The flights don’t increase each time you go in. Really easy to book.

Required help
I just wish to make a comment on the trips I just completed from Hobart to Melbourne and return home to Hobart. I have not been well and requested help in Melbourne as it is a very long walk to the gates. I must say I was very pleased with the help I received on both trips and wish to thank the lovely staff with the wheelchairs. Also the onboard flight managers on both my flights were absolutely fantastic and very attentive to my needs. Thank you all so very much.

Easy App
I have always found it so easy to use and also user friendly which is very important to have because especially when your booking a flight without any complications.I would recommend this app to any of my friends if they are looking to travel.

Good to see so many good Holliday packages at fantastic prices ,most of them are over east and does not cost them extra money to go interstate while here in the West one has to pay full cost to interstate then get your cheap flights out to wherever so at the end of the day we are not getting the it cheap considering we pay the same yearly fees as those in interstate basically we are paying for them!!!

Jetstar Experiences
I’m not a regular traveller, maybe 3-4 times a year, but when flights are available I always opt for Jetstar. Prices are more competitive, (main draw card), and I’ve never had an issue with rescheduled/ cancelled flights. Staff have always been pleasant and helpful.

Great handy app
Quick easy and on hand when I have to check and confirm some details for an upcoming flight or to book. I don’t have to search and scroll through emails entering itinerary numbers, to find my bookings. It’s all in one place. Helpful reminders of my schedule to prompt me.
Really easy to update/upgrade my flight details. Great stuff!! :)

Beware of booking through the app
I booked my flight through the app, after payment there was no error shown and the itinerary appeared on the app. Few days before the flight I realised that the itinerary has disappeared!!!! Customer support told me that payment didn’t go through which caused the booking to be cancelled. I have used many different apps for booking but this was the first time I ever faced this issue. App is not robust enough to handle the booking. Use website instead, lesson learnt after having to pay 50% more for last minute tickets.

Cancelled flights
Had a very bad experience of cancelled flight just 4 hours before the flight. There were no replacement flight until next day evening, so we had to take the train which was a 12 hour ride from Sydney to Melbourne. Even though we asked for a refund, they gave us a credit voucher.
They didn’t even have the courtesy to inform us previous day. The reason for the cancelled flight was weather in one email and operational requirements in another email. And all the other flights were available on that day from other airlines. So it is a mystery.
And it is very difficult to contact them because Jetstar doesn’t provide any email addresses.
Our return flight was 1 hour late and had to stand in a queue for about 1 hour.
Overall very bad customer service.

The app keeps timing out
So to fly with Jetstar is great but to book through the app is a different experience. 2/4 flights I’ve booked through the app have taken my money but no itinerary or flight has been booked. It’s really quite annoying especially because the customer service team never seem to know what to do about it

Easy and efficient to use
The app makes all flight travel so much easier. From booking to checking in, no problems. Really makes life smoother - you can go on holiday or visit loved one more easily now with the app. Delightful progress!

Easy to use and connectivity to chat makes is super
Seems like lots of improvements in this App, had been dropping Jetstar club membership and trips but looks to be fixed. The chat is the best I’ve used which means you can complete all customer service needs in one place without waiting and I love that!!

Can’t fault ya Jetstar!
Just got back from Perth on Jetstar this morning. Both my flight to and from ran on time for departure which is a nice change from multiple other delays and cancellations I’ve had in the past to various other locations.
I saw an advertisement a few weeks back saying they were working really hard to change peoples perception of their airline and to put some faith and trust into them by continuing to fly and I can honestly say I feel like they’re making leaps and bounds towards that. There’s nothing quite like a 4.5-5.5 hour flight running on time. Very happy girl!
All the staff have been super friendly and efficient.
5 stars from me Jetty. Well done!

Launceston to Melbourne
I’ve been flying jetstar launceston to Melbourne for six years now, almost weekly outside of Covid. Great pilots. Best landings. You have to watch your carry on allowance; as they can be brutal. Price is right and usually they are the cheapest. Wish they offered points for travel. But overall I rate them very well.

Sexism
customer service provided by Jetstar. During the baggage weight check, my companions and I felt unfairly targeted as the staff seemed to single us out among all passengers. The overall conduct during this process lacked professionalism and courtesy. Despite our luggage complying with the weight limit, we were still asked to weigh our bags, leading to an unjustified fine.
Furthermore, we observed that the staff member overseeing the procedure exhibited a noticeable bias, primarily focusing on female passengers while overlooking potential weight limit violations by male passengers. This inconsistency in treatment further exacerbated our dissatisfaction.
As valued customers, we hold Jetstar in high regard, and we believe that providing constructive feedback can contribute to positive changes in service delivery. We kindly urge Jetstar to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of their customer service protocols to ensure fairness, consistency, and respect for all passengers.
