I had a disappointing experience with the app due to how it’s Account security and moderation are handled. I was permanently banned immediately after logging in from my iPad instead of my iPhone even though it was clearly the same account and the same user there was no warning no explanation and no what you need to verify my identity to appeal the decision switching devices in Norman and reasonable use case especially within the same ecosystem and banning a user for that’s a little makes the app feel unreliable and hostile to legitimate users
What’s most frustrating is the complete lack of transparency Customer support if the app isn’t going to enforce strict security rules that should at least communicate clearly and offer a fair review process until that’s addressed. I can’t recommend this to anyone who expects basic accountability and support. Don’t waste your money Like I did after just subscribing for a year

it’s a good app but i was banned for talking about sugar daddies and can no longer talk to someone i had a good connection with. unfortunately there’s no way to make a new account so i kind of just have to get over it, but aside from that it’s pretty good. it doesn’t shove premium down your throat and leaving chats it pretty easy. also has a ‘self destruct’ function for when you send pictures. i also believe screen shotting protections are in the app. the team was nice when i emailed them about being banned and they were very clear with me. i’ll miss you man i met on Pure 🩵

as a girl I approve
I’ve used this app to find HU/ONS for years now and have had great experiences. Some of which I’m friends with to this day. Of course there are creeps, but it’s easy to get rid of them.
The main issue I have with the app is the free version lets anyone in the world match with you. So you end up with hundreds of matches from people halfway around the world. This would be good if you were looking to stay online, but I wasn’t, so it got annoying.
Otherwise, a relatively easy and safe way to go casual. I appreciate all the safety precautions (preventing ss, warnings, etc.) because it really does make me feel safer.

Great, but…
The app is really good. Well moderated, so there are no scams or fakes.
Though I won’t be the first one to say that the subscription is a bit overpriced.
Also, the bigger issue is the app’s stability and optimisation. When I scroll too far down in the feed, the app starts to freeze and lag, and it happens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which means bad optimisation and resource management.
Fix that and I’ll give you 5 stars 🌟

Used to be fun, now full of bugs
Used this app over a year ago and it was a lot of fun. After 18 months of a break downloaded it again, opened it, went on, and received plenty messages, but don’t you dare turn someone down and they report you. That’s the only thing I can think of. That and that I am using a new phone. I was banned for no apparent reason. And if you read through. The reviews and online reviews, this seems to be an ongoing thing. I was literally signed up for about an hour, and I ignored and removed myself from 3 chats where I was accosted for not replying or not sending images of myself. When you send a message to the app developers, they just come back with we reviewed your case, you definitely did violate our terms, Uhm which terms please? Oh we won’t tell you which, we can just see you violated. Uh No I didn’t. Not a clue what terms, I was in the middle of 1 conversation, and had turned down several others that were too pushy. That’s all. So maybe the app changed, maybe you are no longer allowed to deny someone’s chat, requests for photos or videos?

You may create a profile (which they are likely skimming for data) but you can’t even see if anyone else is using it before they ask for your money. There’s no hook here. Voice/video chat features position
The randos calling is a nice feature - and surely many like it. But i just find it too inconvenient because of the position of the button. It’s smack right middle - too close to other main tab and i get startled every time i misclicked on it just to hear a weird sound on the other end at 3am. An actual joke of a company with the worst customer service you could think of. To the point they won’t even talk to you about the issues and will set up an automatic email to reply to your emails….
Honestly don’t bother.. they will make you pay then ban your account! Or just ban your account because they stuff up. double charge your account. Then when you try get a refund for the extra charge they ban your account.
Have multiple friends that their accounts got banned for no real reason.

The app is great, not for men
This app is wonderful and the idea itself is amazing and can work, but that is rarely. The most common thing in dating apps is that for men it’s much more difficult to get matches compared to women. However the developers behind the app are also involved in this as they try their absolute best to pull money from the men side of things, they have this weird boost called the crown and with that you essentially have a boost in matches… that is until someone else decides to boost themselves and yours will disappear immediately, which is something that the desperate men do and the developers really benefit from this as they make more money from men purchasing these boosts to be seen by women. However this feature doesn’t exist for women. Only exclusive to men.

This app is dead without instant chat
This app was the best alternative to your traditional dating apps, unless you were born with super genes you are unlikely to find a match on this app.
The instant chat feature was the best feature of this app as this allowed you to bypass the necessity of being liked on face value, allowing for meaningful conversations and deep chats with people leading up to intimacy.
Would give this app 4 stars if not for the lack of instant chat, 1/3 botted users, and lack of users. Though I have managed to meet a few people through this app.
Out of all the instant hookup apps, this app is still the best, though don’t get your hopes up.

Terrible moderation
As a girl we get hundreds of chat requests then we get banned when we cannot respond to them all. There’s barely any chat filters so you can’t stop people from other continents seeing your profile and they end up clogging your chat requests. Some of the guys on there are also creepy and report you when you reject them or get upset at them for being creepy or rude!!

Overpriced pay bait (not worth it in Sydney)
I had a bad experience with this app.
- they require you to pay upfront membership to join (if you close the app during sign up when it says “how much would you pay for an adventure”, they’ll give you a discount for the first week)
- you are not guaranteed to have many people in your area on this app
- even after paying to join the app, they try to convince you to “pay for the crown” to standout to the possibly very small kettle of fish in your area
- The culture on this app was not open and kink friendly as advertised, just another Hinge with less prompts and photo space

This detracts from the enjoyment of the app. All the “girls” seem to be fake. I feel dirty when I think that I’ve been chatting to “girls” who are probably old sleazy men overseas trying to steal my money.

What a waste of money
How come the only way to use it is by paying? Not even a week to try it out. I just wasted my money on a dead useless app with only 2 people nearby and the rest of them hundreds of kilometres away.
The concept is good but come on, let it try first.

What does this cost??
I read the terms and condotions and could not find charges anywhere but I did find a paragrapgh where the comp ay days it will bill you and will bbever refund even if you have been charged multiple times (presumably i error) for the same thing.
I deleted without trying it vcaise these people are tramsparent about costs amd have more legal terms allowimg them to take money from you amd bever refund it than I habe ever seen before on any app.
I am staying away from this app.

A big zero
I have had this app several days now and going onto it multiple times at different times of the day and there’s never any other people on it. Each time it tells me there was people in at another time of the day. I don’t know where in the world who people are but it certainly doesn’t work in Australia. I have applied for a refund from Apple. This app should at least give you a free trial so you can see if it works in your area. As it was I paid for a year and that was a waste of $70. This is a complete rip-off and should be removed from the App Store.

Fail
95% fake profiles. Idea is good but there is no real users. Please don’t waste your money. Do not trust the feedbacks, I bet they’re fake too. It’s a trap. Developers trying to get whatever money they can grab from you, even if it’s a few bucks. The app has been around for a while now, it was the same back then too. No demand whatsoever. They have tried though, I’ll give them that. But it’s a fail and they know it too.

My new brand addiction
Not bad for casual encounters. It's quite beneficial just because you have a lot of girls to choose from. You can look at their pictures before you talk to them, see how everything flows, and if it's uncomfortable, eliminate the conversation and keep looking without fear of taking it out on the same girl. Even if you are rejected, it is easy to go on with your life knowing that you will have more options hahaha. The best thing is that the girls in this community are looking for two things to vox populi: casual encounters or friendly conversation. And they make it very clear from the beginning. So, if you meet a girl who is looking for the same thing as you, super! Try not to ruin it and enjoy either conversation or adventure. And if you're not looking for the same thing, then keep walking. You'll always find someone who agrees with you. You still have nothing to lose if you can spend your time in the app watching the girls change their photos and profiles, looking for new topics of conversation or just looking at pop-up profiles. WARNING: this app is a bit addictive. Sometimes you can find yourself spending more than an hour in it without stopping looking or chatting. Anyway, I'm still enjoying it, hanging out and setting up meetings for my weekend. And I'm doing great!

It’s a good concept
The app has a great concept, and frankly does do a lot about the online fraud issue. However, the user base is small, especially in Australia, and already a portion of them are scammers.
Great experience, could be abit cheaper, but if the dev keep improving the app then its going to be worth the money.

Very unhappy
I have come to see that this app might be a scam it’s self there are more unhappy reviews then happy ones and they all same the same thing there’s no uses and there’s no way to search for people or change the distance of the automatic search I paid for a subscription and now find out it was all a wast of time there’s no one in my area and all it keeps saying is there was people online witch keeps changing the app is a good concept but as far as it is now it’s dodgy and doesn’t seem like it’s even working I would love to talk to someone running this app and see what they have to say because it would be hard defending the app at this point..

Too many scammers
Hi there, I will start by saying the app’s concept is great. An easy way to have a one night stand with no strings attached with someone who you probably don’t even know the name of. They developers introduced a way where a Live Photo needs to be taken for one to upload a profile picture. I think this was very smart on their end.
However , the number of scammers on this app far outweighs the number of legitimate girls. It’s just so annoying knowing I paid money to talk to someone for half an hour and then them telling to to go on some other app and pay money to “verify my age” or the classic “the person I’m borrowing a car off needs me to pay them for the petrol and I’m broke. Could you send me some money to pay them”. It’s just really annoying.
To the developers of the app , wether or not they’ll see this, please try and find a way of dealing with scammers before charging people. It truely feels like I’m grabbing my money and throwing it in the bin when I subscribed.
If the app was good with security and could avoid majority of scammers (because obviously it’s impossible to avoid all) I’d give it a 5 star rating.

Really want this app to take off!
I keep coming back to this app for a week every couple of months but still too few users to justify the price - feel a little ripped off each time (rarely more than a single active person) but only one good experience away from it being a 5-star app.
Love the simplicity of the interface but could do with a couple of simple features like max search distance and location selection.
Hoping this app continues to grow in 2020!

Stay away from this app
The developer advertises that it is possible to get a 3 day free trial, however if you dont select their one month subscription you will be charged $$$ depending on the type of subscription that you choose. Whats more they dont even specify on their website &app that you should select the one month subscription to get the free trial. I had to contact their helpdesk to get this info after being charged $17 !!!

Good idea, poorly executed
At first I thought hmmm this looks different, different not meaning bad.
So I thought give it a go. 65 bucks for a years access isn’t unreasonable. All good so far. That’s where the good stopped. No way to browse users or search for nearby members, no way to store photo’s which honest thought was a good idea to help stop scammers. All you can see is 10 girls used the site today, or what ever the number. Which I found changed randomly as I logged on through the day. I get this might be a new app so not many users, an easy fix for this would be to make it free untill you have a good user base to avoid bad reviews like this one. I would love more women to join, I don’t know what it is like for the ladies just from a man point of view this site is very limited and for what I payed for. All in all I would not recommend paying for the app unless it became more popular :-(

Nice app. I like to use it after work
This application is a great idea. I have been using it for more than 5 months and I have been able to hookup with a multitude of women. Pure is an application that makes it easier for me to meet a woman. I no longer have to worry about what to say or not say during the meeting and it makes me feel comfortable. For example, a month ago, I had a good time with a woman who is a piano teacher, she was way older than me. We didn't have many things in common but nevertheless had a good time together. I added her to my contact list, and speak from time to time and but also always taking an opportunity to discover other women on the app. I diversify my tastes and I can't do without them. I like the Pure meeting principle.

Customer care?
Hey! I got pure at the beginning of the year and ive subscribed to it a couple of times now
While during the first months i had great results, on a weekly basis. (Worth mentioning that im in sydney Aus and the app isn't as popular here just yet)my last month subscription has been really disappointing.
Out of all my interactions with users this month only 3 were legitimate people, with the rest of the "users" asking me to go to google hangouts to get a hook up verification id that requires my credit card details 😩
It really took away my enthusiasm for the app. Its been a month of just talking to phishers :/
Is there anything developers can do to verify users, so that users that invest on this technology Don't get scammed by a 3rd party?
Id love to renew my subscription because the app suits my busy lifestyle, but im afraid i may not. The customer care channel has also been taken away from the app and i wanted to express this to the developers maybe through a website? But i couldn't find anything

My Review
I think the Pure concept is excellent however my experience with it so far has left a lot to be desired. There are too many scammers and fake profiles on here, you need to work out a way to get each account verified because I have wasted a lot of time talking to scammers who just wanted me to just buy their fake dating passes/safety IDs or wanted me to pay them money before we met up. There are also a lot of bugs with how far away it says someone is, often it will say someone is 700kms away but that person says they are only 30km away, and given the amount of scammers on here I am no longer sure who to believe. Or I match with someone genuine who it says is only 30kms away but they are actually 700kms away, that’s just simply wasting my time! As a paying customer I beg you to fix these issues, if you don’t I will be asking for a full refund!

This is not that good
So I live close to another suburb and I’m using that suburb for my location bc my suburb doesn’t show up on the app for some reason and also when I’m using the other suburb it only has one person which is really Annoying and I don’t know what happened but that person doesn’t even show up on the app anymore and it also takes for ever to find someone else. There is only one person I found so far and no one else and I can’t even talk to that one person bc she doesn’t even show up on the app anymore.

Great idea but no one uses it... I paid upfront a while back and was a waste of money... only match I got was a scam. Used it again in the UK and there were more people... make it free for a bit to get the numbers up... no good in WA..

Great app, great support, great concept
Not too many people out there in my area, but the app is a fantastic, well-supported, exciting take on the dating app. The costumer support is 10/10 and its fun to be part of, even if there aren’t too many people around. Wishing more people knew about it!

Has not been any good at all
Like most others have said, no one ever on here. Majority of the time it just says “ ghost town”. And this is in Sydney NSW.
The few that do show up are always from a university and are just trying to get you to sign up to their live cam sites. Just scammers.
Wouldn’t recommend and sadly won’t be re subscribing due to cost vs people active on here. I also get people 700km’s away sometimes.
It’s a shame because I love the concept of this app and was really hoping to see more people in here. I even paid for “king of the hill” a few times, but nothing changed 😢😢😢

Cairns is dead
It’s a great idea for a app and the customer support is amazing I was doubtful that I would have anyone in my area one of the joys of living in cairns. However when I said this to customer support they turned around and gave me a month free so I could have a look and see what’s around so this review isn’t really for the app as I bearly have used it, this review is for the amazing customer support that I have received

A cool concept that falls a bit flat
To have an hour window of chatting to people giving them an active ultimatum to decide wether or not two people should connect further is a sick idea in making things practical, however you don’t have any setting controls or preferences and after multiple attempts I’ve matched with people in different cities with no one else coming even coming close to local for me. Maybe it’s just a serious lack of users but I’m feeling a bit ripped off after paying $18 for a week subscription.

Great concept, limited users
I had a similar experience to other users of the app. While an awesome concept with an easy to use interface, I struggled to find matches and when I did they were in a completely different state! I would love to keep subscribing but I don’t feel as if it worth it considering I got no matches over the week, or when I did they were 500+ KM’s away! Boost the number of users and this would be a fantastic app!!

Good easy concept but not enough users
I like the simple and straight forward of this app, only downside is that you have to pay for a weekly, month or yearly and it’s quite costly for not that many members...
Paid it once used it and closest person was in Sydney... not Melbourne. So not too sure if I am keen to pay again or not . If only there’s a way to have some sort of free service and then add the pay part to have extra things.
