The Identify tab contains four AI modes:
MATCH MY SNARE
Tell the app what you want to sound like — a song, artist, or era — and tell it what drum you have. Snare Lab returns a complete guide: exact tuning targets, head recommendations chosen for your specific shell, step-by-step dampening instructions with product names and placement, snare wire recommendations, and an honest assessment of what your drum can and can't do.
AI SNARE RECOMMENDER
Describe the sound you're after. Get a specific snare recommendation with tuning targets, head suggestions, and a full genre-matched setup.
AI PHOTO IDENTIFICATION
Point your camera at any snare drum. Snare Lab identifies the brand, model, shell material, and tonal character — then loads the right setup automatically.
AI AUDIO IDENTIFICATION
Play a hit into the mic. The app identifies the drum by sound and populates your tuning targets.
PROFESSIONAL TUNING
Live lug-by-lug pitch detection with Hz readouts and note names. Supports 6, 8, 10, and 12-lug snares. Tom tuning (14 sizes) and kick drum tuning (click/attack and fundamental targets) included.
HEAD RECOMMENDATIONS
Every genre selection generates specific batter and resonant head recommendations for studio and live use — Remo, Evans, and Aquarian options matched to your drum and context.
