This HOME THEATER CONTROLLER app provides easy operation of select Yamaha Home Theater Systems using your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
Key Features:
- Basic function control, such as volume up/down, input selection and setting mode selection
- Auto/manual sound beam adjustment (for YSP-2500)
- Precise sound beam adjustment (for YSP-1400 and SRT-1000)
- Surround mode selection, offering expanded choices over the included remote control
The app requires an active BLUETOOTH wireless connection between your Yamaha sound bar and your mobile device. Please make sure to establish a connection first.

Rubbish app - where are you Yamaha??
Have a YAS 207. No issue with the actual bar or sound - but this app is awful. Constantly crashing, very buggy, makes using the bar a poor experience.

The app always opens in demo mode and rarely connects to the sound bar. I don’t need a demo version of the app, I need to control my sound bar.

I change cinema dsp from movie to music and it changes straight back I try to change the playback mode and same issue as well as the position feature app couldnt be more useless

Permission bug
While connected to my YAS-207, produces a pop up every couple of minutes asking for a connection permission, even over other apps

Demo mode only
This app opens mostly in demo mode and occasionally will open fully. I feel that I don’t get the most from my sound bar as I can’t access all the features. I thought Yamaha was supposed to be a good brand. Never really know now.

Waste of Time
This app spends more time in ‘Demo mode’ than connecting to the sound bar, it is useless I should have read the app reviews before I purchased the sound bar! Yamaha....Never again! After years of negative reviews how hard can it be to fix an app? Or perhaps you don’t care once the product has been sold.

Stuck at Demo Mode
Installed the app and it automatically turns to “Demo Mode”. Only way to see the other settings is to switch to another app and then suddenly go back. However it still wouldn’t let you use the other settings.

Large iPhone Screen Support
Even since the app was updated to support iPhone models with no home button the -/+ volume buttons are too close to the home bar at the bottom of the screen.
This results in the buttons registering as being held down instead of tapped.
So the volume either goes all the way up to max or all the way down to off.

Demo mode 80% of the time
Disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth. Reset your sound bar. Maybe then you might be able to connect this app to your system. If you’re lucky. Such a frustrating app. Don’t ever lose your actual remote as this app is no replacement.

Poor connectivity
Use the app with our YAS-203. To operate it you need to first connect with Bluetooth in your iPhone settings. Them after using it, if your phone goes to sleep, you need to disconnect them connect again, shut down the app and start it again and MAYBE it might connect. It would be great if it worked as the lights don't tell you alot on the front of the unit (which I don't mind) but it's really just a poor app.

No firmware update for common problem?
I have a yas 107 model and the sound bar keeps dropping out when playing audio from the tv! I have read several forums and most say it’s a simple bug fix that can be resolved through a firmware update!!?? But yet no update to fix this only one for surround sound which doesn’t work anyway! Lol

Annoying app
Like others, reverts to demo mode all the time. Eventually reconnects, but as a result, constantly gives a notification wanting to connect to he speaker. Like a perpetual loop. Yamaha make fantastic speakers, but whoever they use to develop their app needs to be given the boot.

Good when it works
App works great when you are lucky enough to catch it out of Demo Mode. 9 times out of 10 it gets stuck in demo mode and this halves the control you have over the system, basically limiting you to selecting the input option and the volume and playback type from a limited number of presets.
The full mode gives access to a lot more modes and allows you to control treble etc.
Be great if the demo mode was removed so we could have the capability of the full app to use the product the way it was intended!

Amateurish approach
Horrible UI, unreliable and simply stupid when trying to use from more than one device. Please give a remote with your hardware. Constantly defaults back to demo mode rather than reconnecting.
No remote wake for the sound bar. Yamaha please look at how Apple does it!!

Good app but the interface unresponsive after iPad wakes
This is generally a good app. Makes it easy to control the sound bar from the same device as the music source.
One problem I have noticed is that the interface may become unresponsive after the iPad wakes from sleep mode.
