The current version of this app stall when syncing imagery on my Apple Watch and won’t quit. I can’t even force quit it. It then drains the watch battery in a few hours. Had to uninstall it from my Watch. It previously worked fine.

Simply will not sync after log in. Queries via messenger have returned responses mentioning the team is working on the issue. It’s been a week since I haven’t been able to log in and possibly more as I hadn’t logged in for a while prior. I notified them on Friday morning and still no rectification. I asked for them to halt my subscription so as not to lose any time, they said they wouldn’t do this. The app does not work. Do not bother. Note that I cannot submit without marking at least one star or I would give no stars.

Really disappointed, I have been a massive advocate for this app and used it for years, however recently I played 2 rounds of golf and when putting scores in, it deleted my scores automatically on random holes. Also, when in scorecard mode on an iPhone XS, you can’t click out of it as it put in portrait mode. Have to keep tapping the corner and hope it finds it. Still will use this app but please iron out these bugs.

I just tried out the Golfshot app on the course and unfortunately it only gave me the distance to the centre of the green and that’s it...I couldn’t swipe in any direction to obtain additional data or to enter a score, etc.
I have been using Golfshot Pro for years on my iPhone and was very much hoping to be able to swap over to the iWatch without any fuss...
How do I obtain all of the features advertised for the iWatch?

Paid for the pro version but cannot get it to work with Wear OS watches. Support say that it is s known problem and they are working on a fix any day now. This was 4 weeks ago. Support take over 1 week to reply. I would not recommend this app if you are wanting to use a smart watch with it.

This is a great app (although I haven’t had the chance to use it lately) however I found it difficult to cancel my annual subscription through self guidance.
Please add this for future versions. Also, if future versions also came with a free babysitter, I could play more golf too :)

I pay for the pro version so have access to all features. My devices are AW4 And iPhone X. I find the watch is a bit slow at at giving me accurate distance and it takes a few wrist raises which then makes me nervous of the distance. The connection with my phone in my pocket is often lost and then it's so slow entering data at the completion of each hole as I wait for the whirring wheel. If I update the home result on my phone it often doesn't update on my watch so it falls a hole behind.
Definitely needs more work. I won't be giving up my Sureshot laser anytime soon.

Have the latest watch, an iphone7 and the synchronous between the too is shocking. The watch never keeps the display up then when you launch the app on the watch again it’s a hole or three behind. I don’t care about being able to enter my scores as I do that on the phone and it’s great. I just want the watch to keep up with phone and give me distances at a glance. Really annoying on the watch.

I stumbled across this app and thought I would give it a look. I tried adding my equipment but it wasn’t in the listing. After a simple question and only a nights wait to support it was no trouble for them to add my gear. I recommend this to everyone wanting to track your game progression. Fantastic effort Golfshot team.

Out of the numerous golf gps apps I downloaded this was by far and away my favourite. Normally I’d just use it and not rate or review, however, I felt it necessary on this occasion. The only plus that other apps had was that they contained a tiny little par 3 course I play with my 8yo. I saw the request course button, and supplied a screenshot of the course via google maps, a copy of the card and the following day the course was uploaded to the database. Awesome service.

The phone app is still great but with the latest update my Apple watch 2 is chewing through the battery. The watch app constantly crashes and is taking an age to show yardages. It was perfect before. However I do like the new interface graphical changes.

I've been using Golfshot for 6 years and found it to be an excellent aid on the course (GPS).
The scoring is quick and easy and gives an array of statistics to reflect on after your round.
The support team are relatively prompt and definitely know the product.

I've been a long time paid user of this app. I loved it and recommend it to many. But lately I'm finding more bugs and frustration than actual usefulness.
I use this app primarily for the statistics and scoring from my Apple Watch, however lately ive noticed the stats are majorly wrong. Simple things like GIR have been incorrect, such as marking holes as GIR that weren't, and ones that were as not. I shot 39% fairways on the weekend and it shows as 22%. The same goes for their fairways statistics. In fact you can literally see different stats for the same rounds depending on where you look at them (iPhone app, mobile website, desktop website).
Seriously, GIR has to be one of the simplest things to get right. If they can't even get that right, there are major flaws in their development & testing processes. I can't really trust any of the information they give me anymore.
There are a lot of other annoying bugs they don't seem to want to fix as well.
Their support desk that used to be helpful, is now delayed (if they even respond), provide little help, and don't even read the support tickets properly.
I'm looking for a new app. One that can do the basics right.

I like this app but like many apps, having to pay for a subscription is a problem. I would enjoy it a lot more if there were no costs involved to play a game of golf.

Some nice features, GPS is great. Let down though by the most simple of things being frustrating - keeping score as you progress on the course, particularly using Apple Watch. Easy to put in a total score at the end of a hole, but recording each shot as you go doesn't seem to keep track of how many strokes you've had? If it does, it's too hard to work out how to do that, particularly using the watch.

Great app!
Looked at all of the dedicated GPSs and found that for someone who needs reading glasses that they had to small a screen to read.
Found this app for my iPhone 6s and it is fantastic. Very easy to see and use with more features than most GPSs.
Would recommend, in fact I played with my son last week and he now has the app!
