It's very repetitive, but the much bigger problem is that it's a paid app that plays video ads. If you're charging for the initial download, the app itself can't run ads, it has to be one or the other.

The Executive combines a high-speed combat system, timing-based running and platforming, 120 hand-crafted levels, a full inventory of moves and upgrades, and a simple mining company simulation for earning money, all into one cohesive experience. The fighting engine evokes a cross between Street Fighter II and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, with controls designed from scratch to be ideal for touch screens. The platforming (or “stunt”) segments require precise timing, similar to Elite Beat Agents but with an emphasis on visual timing instead of musical rhythm. Both of these mechanics are brought together by the SP bar, which allows you to execute gesture-based special moves like flame kicks, health restoration, and even morphing your character’s arm into a silver spike to impale foes.

Interesting project
Visually its cool. Combination of gameplay elements is fun. 120 hand crafted levels and no filler - not so true, same settings are played over and over. When it comes to "executive" difficulty I had upgraded everything and it just got repetitive and not rewarding. Completion for the sake of completion. Maybe its just me, but I think devs could sit back and think of something to keep you hooked all the way, perhaps for the next project. There should be an award for choosing not to put IAP in a game. Hope to see more from these guys!

Great Game!
Thoroughly enjoyed this game. The controls are excellent and the fighting monsters/mining business mashup is strange but works well. Only criticism is that once the mining/stat upgrade are maxed, there's no reason to play. Otherwise, awesome work.

Really good game, final boss battle is ridiculously hard
This game was amazing up until the final boss battle, I have A+ on all intern and manager levels and have completed every level up to the final boss (obviously), but the final boss is almost impossible to beat. Regeneration, super first strikes with a seemingly random attack pattern, to even have a hope you need to have both shield and pierce on at all times, but you lose them quickly as the boss is always blocking. Window of oppurtunity to attack is tiny.

The controls really aren't up to par with how they should be. It just leaves me attempting to block but attacking because the enemy is closer to me than before.

Brilliant game shows there's hope for games on iOS
Tons of fun, thoroughly enjoyable and unique gameplay, and I'm not particularly a fan of fighting games in general. You need to play this. And best of all, where the developer could have had opportunities to add insidious micro-transactions, they chose not to, and it makes for a much more enjoyable and rewarding game.

Tricky arcade game
It is a fighting game based on reflex, with a bit of an idle game in it. The fighting is fun and gets harder over time. It also has a lot of difficulty spikes and dips.
The idle is there to help you get money and doesn't overthrow the game, almost like a gift when you get back from a break.
I recommend it to many.
