Love the app but trying to find contact details to get support seems impossible! For some reason my phone isn’t syncing with my Apple Watch! I have a recording I really need to get to my phone to share with my lawyer but it won’t copy to my phone!

This is such a fantastic app

I’ve started dictation for doing daily notes and brainstorming then using Dragon to transcribe the audio. This app is the best I’ve found after searching for a long time.

Simple to use and also great options for customising the audio.

Love this one after ten years of use

Been using this for years now. I’m not technologically clever at all but I know what works for me as a lawyer and academic.

Great for groups and more controls than I’ll ever understand. But when I need to do something new and unforeseen this app has anticipated that already.

And cheap as chips for the ad free. If you’re over sixty and a chronic painer you’ll love this app for sure.

Lasted... until now

This app has served me well over the years, yet it the last couple weeks, whenever I go into the app it quits. Is it possible that the bug could be fixed? If not then I’ve lost a lot that I won’t get back.

Guess I’ll just have to change to Voice Memos.

Used to work on Apple Watch, but not any more.

Been using the app for the last 12months and it’s been great. I used it mainly for audio recordings on my Apple Watch and it’s worked perfectly until March 2020. Now the recording will start correctly when I press “record” on the watch, but then it randomly stops recording for some reason. Perhaps the developer needs to fix this bug? Not sure if other users have had the same issue? Recording from the iPhone works perfectly. It has only been a recent problem with functionality from the watch. Please fix.

I’ve tried several voice recording apps and this was the best by far. Has everything I need and more. Can hide and reveal features that you may not need. Sending to cloud has been flawless, and converting and renaming files within the app has been easy. The free version was fully featured, and the ads weren’t too intrusive, but paid to remove them anyway as the app was worth it.

Problems!

Used voice recorder for years now & it was great until recently. Now it just locks up & even after closing the app, it remains ‘frozen’.

Great but with bugs

Nice little app, I particularly like the bookmark function which I use extensively for tagging lesson notes. However the app somehow messes up play and pause functions - if I unpair headphones, it frequently starts to PLAY a recording.

Almost perfect

Looks like a great App.

However I cannot get stereo recording on my iPhone 11 Pro, even when I plug in a Rode i-xy stereo lighting connected mic.

Also can’t find how to adjust recording level/gain.

Would also like screen to rotate 180deg so I can point mix towards source and still see screen properly.

Terrific app, used it for years, still love it!

This is a terrific voice recorder with so many features I can’t list them all here. Save your file in various formats. Huge array of choices for exporting your recording. Has a basic editing feature. Very practical UI. Great customer support as well! I use it for recording live client sessions, often of several hours duration. Will keep recording while you open and use other apps, showing a red mic icon at the top of your screen. It has never let me down, and that’s important for me. I bought the add-free version right after trying it out. I highly recommend it.

No WAV Option, Despite Description!

UPDATE: I changed my review from 3 to 4 stars, because I discovered that it is possible to convert files to WAV format, after a recording has been made. That still isn’t the same as recording directly to WAV, as the description says is possible, but at least I can get there!

INITIAL REVIEW:

I chose this app because it says in the description, that it is possible to record directly to WAV format (which is essential for my purposes), but there is no WAV option in any of the settings, which is rather annoying! Equally annoying, is that the Support link just takes you to a website, with all their apps on it, when you select the app you want, it gives a list of updates, and the only option from there, brings you back to the App store! Those are ALL the options available on their webpage (apart from being able to register as a tester). But there is no way to communicate with anyone in the business, at all, that I could see!

Used to Loop perfectly

I paid for this as I used to loop a tune all day to try and train a bird. For some reason it will no longer loop and turns off after playing a loop only a couple of times... Very disappointed since I have paid....

Never fails you

This app has saved me over and over again! I’ve done recordings up to 8hrs. Great playback quality. It has happened that it says file can’t played (heart attack! )but it fixes itself and the recording plays smoothly. As I said in the title it has never failed me. Highly reliable!

Best Recording app ever 👍🏻

March 2019...

G’day, I have recently completed several voice recordings on my iPhone XS Max (512GB) and with this apps capabilities- I’ve created some very good quality recordings.

I uploaded these recordings, importing the recordings into Adobe Audition to further edit as a major Podcasting competition.

This app has a user friendly interface, with so many options and so far been 100% reliable (no crashing).

I highly recommend that you consider this app to do all your mobile phone recordings.

Excellent app. Only thing missing is voice activation.

This app works really well. The recording quality is outstanding and the range of options (which are well explained) extensive. The only additional feature I would like to see is voice activated recording.

More than 70hours recorded

More than 30 different occasions I’ve had the opportunity to use this Voice Record Pro App. I still have not discovered or utilised all of the many clearly explained functions and options with in the app functions. From the start of my recording needs, the basics like recording, saving, changing title names and sending to other devices through the AirDrop feature is easily and clearly explained. The delete function, the edit function and the save options are all clearly defined. The various recording options are all clearly defined. On my four different devices I can transfer, copy, save, rename, edit, bookmark and then send also to various other locations off the device itself. I do also use a few other recording apps but this is the best by far and has been my favourite so far. I have now been using Voice Record Pro App over the last eight months from my Apple devices . Excellent five stars.

Lost everything

Apparently my phone did an update and the app was lost with all my recorded singing lessons gone. Nobody had touched the phone etc. I tried adding the app again. Also went to my iCloud backup but there was nothing. Totally dismayed and definitely not my fault. I am no dummy.

The reason for its usage has allowed me to record all conversations that I have had with significant stakeholders such as banks, insurance, lawyers etc and be able to edit the recorded conversations as well as recording my children for fun.

Apple do not permit recording conversations, however, if you put your phone onto speakerphone ‘mode’ and sit it beside your iPad/iPhone, adjust the gain control and reduce background noise a very good result can be obtained.

I am about to purchase this even though ALL functionality is present without restrictions. The developers deserve to get a coffee/beer/wine at least from their efforts.

However one star reduced, as app interface some times freezes on iPhone 7+ on iOS 12. Seemingly don’t loose anything but requires reset app to cruise interface.

Great recording & and editing App.

I have used this little App to record a 30 person 4 part harmony choir rehearsals for the past 2 years. I edit down the 2 hour rehearsal into individual lessons and songs. It’s great. What I would love is when editing I can digitally enter exactly the time I want to place an edit cut. Using finger slide is not accurate at all. Thanks.

Professional and near perfect app

I've been looking for a high quality voice recorder which this app is. Easy and intuitive to learn. Numerous export and import options, hifi and lowfi recording choices, editing, trimming and effects, handy input gain control, familiar VU meter. Few little issues when iPhone locked and pause not working while recording. Dec 17 did a long recording when the phone rang and the battery soon went dead. Couldn't find the recording. Checked the help menu which said I wasn't connected to the internet when I was. Tried to send feedback but app said 'not working try again later' so I'm still none the wiser. Not quite sure how to email to sort out a missing recording. It would be good to have an autosave feature.
