Prime video is a great platform for watching movies, and cartoons, it has seperate profiles for kids, and adults, but the only problem is, i’ve been watching some of my favourite tv shows, and now that i see them, it says i have to purchase the tv shows, and now i can’t watch them anymore, can somebody please tell me if this is just a new system, or what?

Dear to whomever may be reading this. I have a complaint about your services and in the way that whenever I seem to want to watch a movie and I google where to stream it, online platforms always point to prime video to be the place to watch it so I bought a subscription and now none of the movies are on the prime video app like google says they are. This has happened more than multiple times and I’m fed up and am cancelling my subscription. Fix your info.

Not worth it
Not enough new movies, and nice movie you have to pay extra plus you’re already paying for the sign up. And wayyy too many ads each 5 minutes. Not worth the money paid!!

If this app can’t accurately log where I am in a series, why would I not just unsubscribe and go ask the friendly neighbourhood pirate to provide an ad free service?
Keeps resting to start of program when casting. Then have to sit through 1:30+ mins ads just to find out if you’re back where you left off. This can take over 10 minutes. Should be a key feature. If you haven’t found the right place, another 1:30mins of ads each time, quickly followed by more ads 2mins once you are roughly back where you started. If I didn’t have so much spare time with all these ads, I wouldn’t be writing a review. Yet here we are. I do understand I can go “ad free” but really I’ve mostly been enjoying the return to regular toilet breaks during shows, a bit nostalgic really.

I find movies I like that are free to watch, add them to my save list, next minute they change to pay to watch. It’s a joke.

Your login method sucks
When I try to login, it asks me to solve a puzzle. But it loads endlessly and I can’t click anything. Finally it goes through but when trying to enter the code sent to number, it freezes. After multiple tries, it’s not worth my try. Cancelling subscription.

Downloading does not work at all

Desperately needs wotk
This is the worst streaming app I use on the Apple iPad. If you leave the app for a few seconds or overnight then when you come back in it has forgotten where you are. It restarts or skips episodes at random. Apple provides mechanisms to save state when the app loses focus - fix it. On Foxtel when we come back to Prime the app usually crashes and you have to back into it.

Amazon Prime Video on Apple TV: A Master Class In How Not To Build A Streaming App
May Update - It still sucks. Unable to play video error messages. Extremely long buffering followed by unable to play video error messages.
By far the worst streaming app that I have tried in my opinion.
Seriously, Amazon should try diverting a sliver of its advertising revenue into building an Apple TV app that actually functions. That might be novel.
The Apple TV app is pathetic. It does not respond to voice commands at all. An embarrassing failure. Amazon, this is amateur-hour stuff.
I have said this before and it clearly needs repeating. This app is rubbish. It routinely fails to mark episodes as watched, which is a brilliant way to confuse anyone trying to follow a series. Utter failure.
You cannot fast-forward to the end to force the app to update a video as watched. There is no option to manually mark something as already watched. If I am not even watching the content, why am I forced to sit through commercials just to reach the end? I am only doing this because the app is incapable of maintaining a basic viewing history. Expecting me to watch ads to compensate for your broken software is laughable. Rubbish. Fail. Fail. Fail.
Scrolling forwards or backwards regularly causes the app to stall permanently. Another failure.
My language settings are English, so why am I being shown The Wheel of Time Season 3 previews in what sounds like Italian? This happens with other videos as well, randomly and repeatedly. Fail.
Voice commands via the Apple TV remote, such as jumping forward 15 minutes, simply do not work. Fail.
I just tried scrolling forward and resuming playback. Predictably, it broke again. Fail.

Watching a movie with subtitles I was really annoyed when ads and other movies popped up at the bottom of the screen at the end? I missed the ending after 2 hours! It then launched into an entirely new movie??
Amazon has no concept that customers actually want to watch the WHOLE movie? We're not after instant gratification we want to enjoy a movie at home!

Can’t watch anything
After 2-3 minutes of watching, Amazon Prime freezes and you are unable to watch it further. Only fix is closing the app and reopening it, only for it to freeze in another 2-3 minutes, making it almost impossible to enjoy any of their content.

The user experience is not great
When trying to resume it sometimes takes me to older episodes that I’ve already watch.
the ad system is horrible. When an ad finishes and the video resumes sometimes I want to click back on iPhone with the -10 second button and it plays the ad against. So I medio having to watch double the ads.. would be good to polish this because it makes me hate your advertisers having to see the same ads multiple times ..

Subtitles issue!
Genuinely so annoying, subtitles appear over the hardcoded subtitles.
Can’t watch anything that has a foreign language because the subtitles are covering up everything we need to see!!!
