If you want a search engine to just give you blatantly wrong hurtful and dangerously incorrect information then yes use this the other day. I asked it for a definition of the word obsolete and it gave me a written response that said okay I won’t be showing you any more definitions sorry that you had to ask to make them obsolete. I used to use Google every single day as I’m sure every other human being on this planet has but it is now almost completely unusable. I would much rather just be given a website that contains the correct information rather than a piece of code going through 500,000 websites trying to find out if an answer is correct or not let me look for the answers that I want in the website that I want to look at. And yes I know I can still view websites with this AI stuff on Google but that’s besides the point the amount of water and natural resource resources that AI uses for just one search is insane. I should be able to have the choice whether I want to use all of those natural resources and ask for an AI for an answer or whether I should just go the old-fashioned way and use my critical thinking skills and use my brain like I was supposed to.

Solid app, just needs to keep up with the times
Excellent app however Safari is still superior when using with Apple Smart/Magic Keyboard. I’m incredibly used to the simple idea of pressing CMD while tapping on a link to open in a new tab. It’s a simple shortcut that can save a lot of time when you have a keyboard connected to speed things up. The shortcut is available on the Mac/PC version of Chrome but not available on the iPadOS version for some reason. Chrome does support standard shortcuts though such as CMD+T and CMD+W but for some reason doesn’t support anything further than this.
Very easy fix, please add this function in and make it easier for me to switch to Chrome completely and forget Safari. I’m only using Chrome right now to sync between devices, but I would love to use it for more reasons than just this.

Pretty flawless
No complaints. Works seamlessly as default browser for ios these days and unlike safari: I can update it regularly & keep my browsing safe & secure without having to update my entire ios version (which is not an option for me because I live in rural Australia, hundreds of miles from the nearest apple store & I refuse to pay for a Starlink install just to get the wifi I would need for 6-10 gb’s of wifi data I need to update ios! I have a mobile-phone plan that gives me unlimited cellular data but for some incomprehensible reason: apple™️ won’t let me download the latest ios version on cellular data - insists on wifi).
So yeah: I would be using chrome™️ as my default browser even if it sucked somewhat.
But it doesn’t. It’s completely integrated in to ios system so all the auto stuff happens same as it would for safari, ad-blocking & privacy features work same or better, and I can use the latest version with latest security patches despite my dated ios version.

It is a feature I use a lot and as such I have stopped using chrome as much on my iPhone. It is simply too frustrating

I opened my chrome today and it seems to have updated and added even more invasive AI garbage that I don’t want and every single one my tabs have vanished while still being signed in, I have no way of recovering them as I defaulted to incognito.

Not as good as expected
I’d been told that chrome was a great search engine but I’ve found it not as user friendly as other search engines I’ve tried. I have to enlarge the information to take up more space to make it easier to read where other SEs the information automatically used the available space. To clear search history I have to I have to do more searches and clicks. It’s hard to say if I’m getting more information or better information. I’ll persevere for a week or so and if I still don’t like I try a different SE.

Disappointing
Well I’ve been hacked for years and on every account I own. And yesterday I in the middle of getting hacked with the hacker right there and Chrome and google just pretended it wasn’t happening and went as far as to protect the perpetrator and not even try to help protect the security and privacy of my account, it was disgraceful poor conduct and a slap in the face, so much for keeping their clients privacy and security number one. And today the same thing happened with obvious modified software because the screen was not in place and they just brushed me off like I wasn’t looking after my account. I was shocked. Never again in my life will I use a google product

Service and Delivery
Souvlaki Boys is a professional service and the quality of their product's is exceptional. Their delivery is always in time and their online service means that I don’t have to drive a long distance. They have saved me numerous times when I have had to arrange a bbq at the last minute. They sent it with a driver the same day.

Excellent web browser
I have always used Google Chrome because the other ones just use too many resources. And I like the integrated Google Drive and apps. I use it on all my computers both Windows, Mac and Linux.
I would fully recommend Google Chrome. I have tried many browsers back in the day like Netscape but still go back to Chrome.

WOW!
Chrome is an excellent way to do work - you can keep many tabs open at a time, allowing you to go to one thing to another without deleting the one you already have.
It catches internet very fast and is very efficient.
One thing I must comment though - whenever I try to open a Google Doc or a Google Slide, I can open but I cannot edit and it says I must download the app based on what you need to do.
Other then that, it is amazing. People can open their work tabs and let their kids play on others.
Super efficient, and those of you who use Google, Chrome is an improved version of Google!

No end to logins
I’ve always loved google/chrome/gmail BUT!!! lately all I ever seem to do is login 1500 times a session!! I actually don’t get anything done, just endless logins from one space to another. Even turning on Chrome I get a drop down telling me to verify it’s me and I follow the prompts, logging in 5 times to get there and then see that everything is good and go back to the webpage and BOOM!! Drop down to verify it’s me!!! I go from phone apps to my laptop and still am persistently having to log in over and over again!! Keeps asking for a password which I don’t have as I was led to believe passwordless was easier. Seems my face, fingerprint, Authenticator and phone call isn’t enough…. Tired of trying to work out these changes. The more google tried to be like Microsoft, the less I’m liking it!! Even the search sessions only give me reddit results, nothing like the broad interest like in the beginning of google search. Really disappointed!!

Becoming disillusioned
While I’ve used Chrome on various devices basically since release, it’s really dropped the ball on iPad recently. Searching in Google results in an inevitable freeze where I have wait 10-50 seconds before the page loads, can’t interact with the page while it’s loading. It’s getting so bad that I’m on the verge of shifting to safari… So disappointing that Google can’t make a browser that works with its own search engine.

Chrome changed my life.
You can really tell how much money Google put into this. A beautiful clean design, quick search results and a beautiful clean design. When I got this earlier this week, I never expected how much of an impact it would have. When I opened the app for the first time, my doorbell rang shortly after. When I checked the door, a small man, similar to that of the “man” from Aunty Donna’s Coffee Café. He took my sister and I have never seen either of them since. I have been much happier since the pest has left. Thank you, chrome and your strange men.

Room for improvement
Cyber security is something on all of our minds these days and I like to think that Chrome has the resources to make going online a little safer. So that’s why I use there search engine. I give it 4 stars as my personal information hasn’t turned up through any leaks on there behalf as of yet but there’s always room for improvement hence why I haven’t rated it 5 stars

Oxford Bathrooms
Over the last few months we have had several bathroom quotes. The last quote was from Oxford Bathrooms,Brookvale who completed a bathroom renovation for our neighbours. Our neighbours were so happy, they advised us to get a quote from Oxford Bathrooms, because of the excellent work completing their bathroom renovation.
We have now accepted quote from Oxford Bathrooms and have locked in a date for work to be commence.
Our decision was based on cost, service standards and presentation of material. Sue, Rachael and Melvin have been the key stakeholders that made our decision easy. Well done.
We now look forward to our renovation commencing next year.

Indispensable
I use Chrome as my main gateway to the Internet. If I'm writing a short story and I need to do some fact checking, I open Chrome.
If a friend has a birthday and I want to write a couple of pages of interesting trivia about the year they were born I just open Chrome and type in the year.
If I'm writing a poem and I'm stuck for a rhyme I ask Chrome "What rhymes with..."
I can ask Chrome any question directly and get an immediate answer. How many metres in a mile? What's the time right now in New York? How do I cook a laksa?
It always knows. We have come along way from the early search engines like "Ask Jeeves", and I now find Chrome to be indispensable.

Good but a few issues
When you search for something and then want to add something to it, it goes back to the start before the first word. It doesn’t even show a cursor that you would be typing here until you start typing.
Another thing. You may use a website every days and bookmark it. But when you type it in the address bar, the only thing visible on the screen are web search results and you need to scroll down further for the actual website. This is how it looks on an iPhone 13 Pro. Perhaps a pro max would be able to display the actual website as well.

Business Killers
Protect small businesses from incorrect and false reviews!! When you report a review and they respond with no policy violation, there is no chance of actually speaking to anyone and discussing these issues with somebody at google. The prompts just send you in a circle of unresolved issues and you never get anywhere. We have had a huge influx of customers leaving negative reviews in order to try and get free food and when reported to google you do not have the option to speak to someone. I have requested multiple times that my business profile be removed on google as I’m sick of 1 out of 1000 customers who had a bad experience leaving reviews just out of spite. If you have a problem with your product or services, go to the store and speak to the owner/manager. Leaving false reviews or going on rants to businesses do not do you any favours nor does it reflect the long and hard work served.

Great but minor issues
This app is is pretty good for a search engine, there are two issues that need to be addressed. One is that when I search for something it does not give suggestions, if i misspell something I may not notice until I have hit enter. Suggestions are also just nice to have as it may save you time typing. The other fix needed is that it is near impossible to copy text from the search bar if you have already searched it, you double tap the text you want to copy but if you try to move the bubble to copy more than just a word the copy bubble will disappear and this will continue to repeat indefinitely. Other than that it works just fine and has a nice UI design.

Update is time-consuming
I just updated to the latest and I’m seriously annoyed. The discover section is so…enlarged. I don’t want to have to scroll so much to see all of what’s being suggested to me. Unlike before it’s all more or less basically visible on the screen at a glance with minimal scrolling. I understand some people might like to see enlarged thumbnails but it would be nice to have viewing options as I personally prefer to see less.
In addition, I used to be able to remove/dismiss discover suggested articles with a swipe of the finger. Now i am forced to manually click … and then click ‘hide this’. Again, it’d be nice to have a quick way to deal with this. If there’s a way to currently do so, I’d like to know since nothing I’ve done works.
Finally, the translate banner is no less frustrating to use too. Previously I could easily switch from original to translated language just by tapping on the banner which allows you to switch back and forth. Now I actually have to click the translate icon, then click translate or show original each time I want to switch back and forth. It doesn’t help that the banner keeps vanishing after a few seconds and to get it up again requires you to click the translate icon.

That said, I’m glad there is no longer a ‘close all’ button which can be accidentally tapped. So that’s a pro at least.

You didn’t even let my daughter play cool maths games
Apparently cool maths games is too inappropriate for little kids and all other games. We have reset the app and re downloaded the app but no difference any one reading this do not get this app it is a waste of time and a ripoff to what is says it is and it is way too slow when you are trying to search something I was trying to search enrolment for the RSPCA but it took over 5 minutes to load at that stage I have given up I watched it load and set a stop watch I was so annoyed when I saw the result it was a hack and I lost a lot of private information Safari is so much better you could say it is the BEST

Suddenly I can’t do this…. So now I have to open a new tab, and scroll through the long list of discovers to get back where I was - if I’m

Links not clickable very buggy sometimes works sometimes I have to double or triple click and sometimes long click then open in new tab and sometimes nothing at all unless I refresh the page… Devs, please respond are you working on this? I mainly work at night so I like when I can have things dark or change my back ground. Would you please make that an option to change your background and also to dark mode? Sometimes the iPad does it but rarely works, and no option in settings.

Broken App
The app has been broken for the past 2 days and there doesn’t seem to be any useful info on how to fix this. Keeps crashing, freezes, won’t restore or tries to and freezes again. Would be good if you actually fix this issue instead of leaving it for days on end.
No updates to address the issue. Tried to reinstall it and had to use the desktop to try and find solutions with nine working. Reinstall didn’t fix it, just a frozen app that couldn’t even log into my account.
Does seem to be other ways to get help for this this issue. Just kept getting set to useless pages that doesn’t address this issue or reporting it.

An update for IPad please!!
Google is way better than safari - don’t get me wrong, but chrome on iPad is not so great. It would be amazing if you could add tab folders (like the computer has) onto the iPad, as those would help me organise my life so much. Also for some reason I can’t see what I’m typing in the search bar? It’s a bit strange and VERY annoying. If you see this - thank you so much! <3

New “Discover” feed is horrible
1) To dismiss an item you now have to tap the hamburger dots and then choose a menu item where previously you could just swipe to dismiss it.
2) Each story takes about twice the space. I used to be able to read the next headline while swiping to dismiss the previous one and make my way through the suggestions quickly and now it takes SOOOO much longer.
I’ve turned the feature off; it’s just a massive usability step backwards.

Unpredictable
Chrome on macOS is outstanding but Chrome on iPadOS is a poor experience. Today, for the 3rd time in the past 6 months, Chrome decided to close all of my tabs. Unfortunately when this happens it isn’t like clicking the “Close All” button and being able to hit “Undo”.. no.. when this seems to happen, it happens after coming back to the app after switching away from it (today I switched away to reply to a Message, took 15 seconds).
To further describe the issue: when it happens, it closes all normal tabs as well as all incognito tabs. It’s like a full reset, almost like reinstalling the app. It is incredibly aggravating and after today I’ve decided to switch back to Safari full time for iOS. I’ll still use Chrome on macOS, but on iOS it is just too buggy.

Bug Report: Tab not closing
App works fine, but when I close a tab and then close and remove the app from memory, if I reopen Chrome, the last tab I closed will magically appear again. If I close that tab again and then close Chrome and kill it from memory, upon restarting the app, that tab will have finally been closed. There is a bug which isn’t instructing something to clear. iOS 14.4, iPhone 7.

something I would love
Hello, Chrome is a great app and especially the best because you also can’t delete it. In Chrome, I would love a new feature that you can take a photo of something like an artwork for example and then it will come up with the full picture. I do art classes and I would love to find the pictures they put in the books. So can you make something that you can take a picture and then it will originally give you the image you’re looking for or related images. Overall, this is great! :)

Better than Safari but...
In my opinion Google Chrome is a great app wayyy better than safari but why, why and why is it 17+ I just don’t understand that is sooooo un nessasry I mean, seriously? It should be available for all ages even everyone in my class uses google chrome and I’m 110% sure we are not 17 or over.
Overall Google Chrome is the third best app in App Store. (First would be minecraft, second roblox, third google chrome tell me if there are any better apps)

Worst browser in History since last few updates killed its usability
Over the last 2-3 updates, Google Chrome has become so terrible to use, I am at the stage of recommending ANY other Browser and I can guarantee you will be much happier off.
* Seriously, every time I open my iPad now, it brings up Chrome, however it is dropping/crashing forcing it to refresh, and now whenever it refreshes it FORCES mobile pages onto you. Especially in Facebook! Nothing is more annoying than Mobile pages, yet Chrome is forcing this on you with every drop/crash.
It never used to be like this and needs to be fixed ASAP!
* Double spaces in Facebook: About 4-5 updates ago, Chrome has become the only browser to insert double spaces in Facebook. Whilst you think it wouldn't be annoying, believe me when I say it is more than frustrating with tens of thousands of complaints. But guess what? Google has become so large now, they don't actually care about you the end user anymore. This should have been fixed almost 12 months ago, but you guessed it, nope no fix in sight for this annoying bug.
Please fix these issues ASAP! ...and by ASAP, I mean NOW! No really!....months later and the issues still persist. It seems google is trying to kill off Chrome :/
Edit: Over a year since I wrote the above and nothing has been fixed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Useless
I so so so wanted Chrome to be my main browser, as even though I am an iPhone user, 90% of my stuff is Google based. But this browser is just useless. Almost every time I tap on something it gets stuck anywhere else from 20% to 50% loading and just stops. Won’t move. If I refresh or try again, it stops at the exact same place and that’s it - it will not load. At first I thought it was the web page/s I was trying to open and traffic, but when it happened continually no matter what link or page I was trying to open, I tried the same link/s and pages in safari - and they opened without any wait time or issue. What is the use of a browser that can’t open simple pages or links?! Beyond disappointing.

Search history still remains after disabling web activity
Before the update, everything is working fine like it should. After the update, my google search history remains for no apparent reason. Had all of my associated accounts’ web activity disabled but still seeing the search history pop up whenever I try to search something on google. Individually check all if my account, literally no history found in any of them but still seeing the search history on the google search bar. Had to individually delete one by one on the search bar itself.

Design Fault
I love using Chrome on mobile, and its always been my default browser, but the close all tabs button is an incredible nuisance. Its so close to the new tab button that opening a new tab is always a frightening experience, and I’ve lost so many tabs and progress on things I’ve been doing or reading because I’ve accidentally hit the close all tabs button and look, there goes all 40 tabs I had open. And then none of them show up in recently closed tabs either, so I have to go through an entire month’s worth of history to find my tabs again. This doesn’t feel bad enough for a 1 star review, to be fair, but it is something I know has been happening to quite a few people, and no one looks at reviews unless they’re 1 star.

It’s amazing and I totally recommend it!
Now google chrome is absolutely amazing! It has everything you need it’s just like any other google apps they are also wonderful but this one particularly caught my eye as it had mini games that you could play for free! Namely, T-Rex Runner and many more I have heard rumours it has been hacked but I’m sure those are fake seem as though I play it everyday! This app is wonderful and I totally recommend it for teachers, students and even workers and many more!

Google Chrome is a great app for using the web and connecting to the rest of the world. But... Is it really like the Google Chrome we know?
As you may know, Google Chrome is a site on many of our laptops and computers used to explore the web. It has great features that are really useful.
Though it has amazing features and differs from other internet browsers on our laptops,it is a different story whilst using Google Chrome on our phones.
If you haven't noticed already when using the app Google Chrome on our phones it really doesn't look like the one we see on our computer. We are just using an app that just does and looks like Google, the app.
It doesn't share many of the features with the Google Chrome we know on our laptops. It has nothing much in common with the one on our computers, it has more in commen with the app Google if anything.
So, is it really like the Google Chrome we all well and truely know?

Not really a review more of a request
I am someone who uses tabs a lot but 3/5 times I will hit incognito mode because it’s too close to the new tab button. I would have to get out, close the tab and try again and I would think it would be better if the incognito tab had some sort of lock of “are you sure” text to even having it at the bottom

Was a good app until someone stole my details
So I used to use this app a lot. It was my default browser for along time until yesterday. Turns out that hackers have a cheat way to get into the browser and can get your details if you order something online from a legitimate store. So not only do these people now have my name and credit card details they also tried to take money from my account. My bank stopped them but now I cannot use my account for anything. Which means I have to starve for a week until I get a new card.
I’ve also discovered that Google and Apple know about this little hacking trick and have yet to fix it.

Doesn’t hold position on page when reopening anymore
What happened to jumping to where you left off reading a page when reopening the app? I read A LOT on Chrome - long, long pages often - and previously it jumped to where you were up to on the page the last time you used it, which was VERY convenient. Now when the app is reopened, it refreshes to the top of the open page/tab and it’s super frustrating!! I’m not sure how that’s helpful when you can already just tap the top of the screen to ‘return to top’ anyway.

Thanks but goodbye
The changes to Chrome have made it hot garbage. I’m sure there’s some good ones in there, but nothing can compensate for such genius moves as:
The navigation bar disappearing when you scroll - scroll again in a certain direction if you want to actually navigate!
Entire URL is hidden - surely you don’t need to know where the hell you are, especially if you landed deep in the site from a search result? Why even have the URL bar at all? I’ll just determine from context what website I’m on!
Option to bookmark a webpage is so deep in the menu you have to scroll for it - past nonsense like both Reading List and Read Later. Which am I going to access more often google, my list/bookmarks, or the option to actually create a list/bookmark? Maybe I’m just the odd one out. Do you really think I’m going to access my Settings more than Add Bookmark? Especially when those settings don’t actually set anything?
And there’s still no easy way to stop a page from loading without accidentally triggering page reload. Thankfully, reload option is now available is TWO places, so you can absolutely always reload. Just don’t want less loading instead of more. At least the navigation bar space “stop loading” could have been on is taken up by the critical “search” button, which merely activates the now more-or-less token URL bar. That bar is omnipresent - why the hell do I need a second method of activating it mere inches away from the first?
While I’m ranting, why can’t I change my advanced search settings in chrome app, unlike the desktop version?
Well, now I’m in the market for a new browser. Or maybe I’ll even give Safari another go.

Not liking the new layout
I agree with most of the reviews here - the new layout is moving towards the “Apple” design is lacking the traditional favourite elements from Google. The tab page thumbnails are well thought but the website titles are way too small. Please add an option to change back to the previous layout. The bottom bar is in direct contradiction to the Chrome philosophy of reducing obstruction in viewing. The search button is a direct duplicate of the search bar. Back and forward and others work just fine in the top bar as in the previous editions.

I loved chrome
The Chrome app was far superior to safari now it’s just clunky, it actually looks safari. Did you guys just copy them?
Anyway, the new tab screen is over complicated as I can’t remove the permanent button eg history, reading list. I don’t use any of them I just want to search!
Another issue is putting the buttons on the bottom of chrome. I find it annoying that if I want to go back to a previous link that I have to find the small button in the bottom corner of my phone.
I don’t like how you’ve dedicated an entire screen to logging into google, I don’t want google tracking everything and to have my name. It’s also annoying that it’s next to the tab button so I keep accidentally clicking it.
The worst thing of all would be the adding of new tabs. Yes I can see all my tabs at once, but I’m on a phone, and the new layout is more complex. It’s just harder to close tabs when previously it was an easy swipe.
I’ve been using chrome for 5 years and nothing else but I guess it’s time for a change.

I’ve been waiting for the mobile app to get a hi update for a while it was clunky and hard to use while on the go away from home, by now the new Ui is amazing and very fast wow every little detail like new tabs automatically opening to google is just perfect and so seemless as well as super fast. The search button at he bottom that allows you to start typing with out needing 2 hands to google something is perfect that has been my biggest problem when trying to google something quickly. 10/10 update!

This Looks Like Safari...
I have absolutely no idea why they had to change the perfect design of the app, to make it look like a rip off of its competition. If I wanted this layout, I would use Safari, even that looks better than this redesign. Google, I recommend you take a number from Snapchat, when they changed the layout of it, nobody liked it, but at least they could still remember how to navigate it. Whereas this is way different than what great looking browser we had before.
This new update is terrible, I sincerely hope some of the people at Google read this, otherwise you’re not listening to your customers, at least give us an option to change it back to the old Chrome. Thanks.

I would be indebted to you if you did this
I love chrome iOS, I’ve not had any problems with it which is great, but, I would love a way to organised the tabs, I have an iPad that I use for university purposes as well as personal purposes , and it would be great if there was a way to separate the tabs into new windows or subcategories or something to easily switch between and navigate school related webpages and personal casual web surfing related pages, if you could somehow do this it would be amazing.

Constantly crashing since update
Since the latest update the browser constantly goes to black page like it is going to a new incognito tab and then won’t refresh the webpage or the app crashes. I have to close the app and reopen to view the webpages. Most of the time it asks me to restore the pages I had open. It is frustrating as this isn’t the first time I have updated the app which was working with no issues to a version that crashes constantly. Please fix as I regretting updating and will most likely not update again once fixed. When the app is working properly it is great.

Good browser, annoying bug
Love having chrome on iOS! It’s very useful. Power optimisations could be realised (please, please for chrome on macOS!!!)
However, on iOS, when selecting ‘open in...’ for a PDF file natively in chrome, it never copies the file to any option (including notes, google drive, iCloud files, etc); merely making an unreadable ~10KB file of the same name. Very annoying when trying to save files to google drive.
If that could be fixed, it would be almost perfect. Thank you!
