I cancelled my HBF membership 2 weeks ahead of time, and in those last 2 weeks of my membership HBF signed me out of the app and cancelled my card, even though I was still paying for the membership. With no notice. Talk about a bad offboarding experience. I even went to claim something using the card and it was no longer working. Support told me I had to email the claim through.
It leaves a pretty bad taste in your mouth when you’re paying to use something but have all the functionality taken away from you. Definitely won’t be back!

There are some very helpful and interesting features but trying to gain information on other member benefits is not available within the app. There’s a clickable link that will take you externally to the HBF Momentum webpage but this proved so difficult to navigate that I felt it necessary to call HBF to see what the problem was. The call centre staff member I spoke with encountered the same difficulties. She was tenacious however, attempting via desktop and mobile, both within this app and on the external website, to find the information I was seeking but to no avail.

So easy to use and if you carry limited cards around like I do, the apple wallet feature is amazingly easy to use, I always forget my card so I always had to go into HBF with a receipt, now I only have to upload a photo on the app and it’s all sorted!

A warning wouldn’t have gone astray. I’m a bit worried my claim payment has gone off in a cheque to somewhere and I’ll never see it. The app should have warned me to enter payment details once I lodged that claim. I’ll have to call up Monday to resolve it otherwise that will be $70 down the drain. Hopefully I can resolve it and my review

I have just downloaded the HBF App and used it to make a claim. The whole process was so quick and easy, I couldn’t believe it! As part of the 3-4 minute process I was also offered an HBF card for my iPhone. This loaded into my ‘wallet’ app instantly and will be so much more convenient than carrying my plastic card around to all my medical appointments.

HBF has picked up my good old Goldfields Medical Fund who would supply some rebate for a number of items per medical necessity type claims per the particular option selected. Not having updated to cover a moon boot currently only availability from 1 hospital pharmacy sometimes - here in Northam Wheatbelt WA because it obviously is to new for your HR to have processed it onto paediatrics cover for the growing working population with plantar Fasciitis and then explaining it is not a necessity and is not covered is none sense and unprofessional really

HBF has an easy to follow and informative app. When paying my bill over the phone it was suggested to download the app before my surgery. Super easy for someone not technically minded and I have forwarded my very first claim simply by taking a photo and sending it through.. Happy customer.

The whole idea of going digital is not to have to carry around my HBF card, but it seems every time I need to claim something they need to scan my card and won’t accept the app. Still need the card like it’s the 1990’s. Also when I tried updating my Medicare card via the app it kept saying I had to call to update. Don’t waste your time, but I guess I have to concede it’s a cheap company and I got what I paid for.

Thanks again HBF. Have been with you over 40 years. Have never had a problem. The lovely girl who helped me understand and pay a claim which was in Victoria was so pleasant and helpful. Just sorry that I now have to change to a Victorian company now I am living here. No Service Providers over here support HBF unfortunately. New update no longer allows you to select if you what to use your GapSaver or not. I have my account settings set for my funds not to be applied, yet when claiming online it keeps using my funds and bypassing what has been set in place by a customer service assistant. Please fix so I can submit my claims without my funds being used for the difference.
