There is no checking-in to predefined places. Instead, through Geospike you can create a personalized journal of your travels and everyday life, which you can share with friends and family. The search function allows you to easily locate photos and places you’ve been – meaning you’ll never scramble to find your important photos or travels again.
Going on a trip? Start a trip in Geospike and your spikes will be automatically added as you make them. Share the trip with friends and they can follow your journey as you go. View the entire journey on a real-time map as well as interesting stats like how far you’ve travelled.
Syndicate spikes to your Facebook timeline or Tumblr blog on the fly, without needing to wait for uploads – Geospike will upload spikes in the background, and if you don’t have internet will continue when next used online. Spend your time having fun, not watching upload bars.

My faith has been restored
I have loved this app for several years but with a new phone and iOS 10 it constantly crashes in the field. I purchased the pro version hoping it would fix the problem but nothing has changed. A very expensive app that crashes every time it is used when off line meaning I have to wait to get into wifi range to upload and can't write notes on the run- one of my fav features of the app. Please please update the app. I recently discovered GPS Log - a very similar app by the same team so contacted their support & received a response givingme the code to download a free copy of GPS Log. I have now done so and have been trialing it around home and so far it loks every bit as good as Geospike once was and it works!

Great tracker app
I love it for this extended journey I'm on as it tracks my whole journey on a map. Great app.

Go Pro!
Love the Opt up guys! Totally a Geospiker for life. The more of my friends I get into it the more the rest rave about it. So easy to keep people updated with my life, and the best part is I get to choose which spikes to post to Facebook and which to share with close friends and family.
Thanks for the postcard option, my mum loves getting real mail from me when I am on the other side of the world.
What's next? How do you make the most used app on my iPhone more useful?

Perfect Travel Companion
I'm not one for writing blogs so when I saw a review on this app, I knew it'd be perfect. The GPS tracker plots where you take photos even if you've got your data turned off. They get suspended until you're in a wifi hotspot to upload them and is integrated with other social media apps. I highly recommend this if you're going traveling!

The perfect travel companion
I seriously can't recommend this enough. It's the perfect app for travelers, allowing to to keep a comprehensive travel diary wherever you go. The best thing is it doesn't new Internet to capture the photos and locations- it simply uploads it to the web you reach the net wi-fi stop.
Simple, intuitive interface and so easy to use!

Atrocious local feature
Despite working GPS, this app seems to place this Australian in South Africa and map seems to be able to find no results for this side of the world, despite Sydney photos appearing in the global list.

Brilliant and handy tool
Finally something to get excited about! How good is this? No more trying to remember that great little restaurant you found or that awesome beach spot, this does it for you. I can honestly say this is one of the best apps that has come out in a while. Well done.

Useful and fun
This is a great app because it's really fun and easy to track places you've been and organize the information very quickly. It's so easy to share your travels with your friends. It's also incredibly useful when you want to find a place again. Love it!

Great for travellers
I've never had the patience to write a diary while travelling but I'm basically using this app as a travel diary so I can remember places I visit on my trip and also share them with my friends. Really easy to use and best of all works without an internet connection so it's perfect if you're overseas with no SIM card.
