Trying to share tickets with family for a footy game. Find it ridiculous that you need to download an app to accept the tickets to begin with, but to make matters worse when trying to access their account my family members forgot their password, asked to reset password yet never got the actual email. This went on for 20 minutes on multiple devices. In the end we ended up keeping all the tickets on one device and handing our phone backwards as we passed through in line.
Just an all round inconvenience. Ticketmaster is much better when they’re the same product. Not good enough

I don’t know who is in charge of looking after this app but it is plain broken now. I purchase tickets for the football a few times every season. Used to have tickets interstate with Apple wallet and be able to share them. Now I get tickets delivered by text and it wants to open them in the app not in the web browser. No more integration with Apple wallet and the app itself doesn’t show tickets in an easy to access manner but send you to you order history to find them. I hate to think how people with a disability would be finding this new experience.

I rarely take the time to review an app or a company, however I couldn’t stay silent when it comes to their shonky app and unethical practices. In a world where mobile apps are the front door to your house, Ticketek’s is not only unwelcoming but has no lock on there’s. Ticket refunds? Good luck getting that back “automatically” and be prepared to pry it out of their cold hands. Want to buy tickets? Highly recommend elsewhere.

Apparently used to support wallet integration. No longer.
When searching the in-app wallet, it can’t find the tickets have to go into order history to find them.
Also forces login when viewing tickets via order history. So when you are at the gate of the event trying to get scanned - very poor experience.
Workaround is to take screenshots of tickets prior to the event. Please fix this.

I go to a local rugby game once a year.
Last year, bought some tickets for myself and some mates and can’t remember having trouble sharing them and for my ticket could send to Apple Wallet. All good.
I’ve just bought my tickets for this year and completely different experience. The tickets show up in ‘Order History’ but not in the ‘Tickets’ tab. So I can’t share them or downloads to Apple Wallet.
I selected the delivery to mobile option so forwarded one of the links to a mate. He can’t open it. So I’ve had to go on my computer to create a print to PDF version to send to my mate.
This app really is a one trick pony and not even close to delivering.

After yesterday’s update, I’m now heading to attend NEIGHBOURHOOD EARTH in ICC Sydney, and the “Tickets” tab at the bottom right corner is no longer working any more, crash and go back to Home Screen every single time. I tried delete and reinstall, not working. Now I had to search my email box and find the tickets link and open them in the browser. Also, an old problem, not sure if it’s just for this show though, the “Add to Apple Wallet” button is not working, showing errors every time ( I tried quite a few times on different days). It’s 2018, how is this monopolistic company allowed to persist with such a shockingly bad customer experience. I selected tickets, chose a delivery method, got a message saying that delivery type didn’t exist. No back button so I’m in a dead end. The tickets in my basket seemed to be locked to that delivery method so I had to search for the event again, put another ticket in my basket, then cancel all the tickets and start again. Then when I selected a different delivery method, the credit card type selection buttons didn’t line up so I had to guess which one was the right type. Tried to buy tickets online for a dance event a family member is performing in - looped on a wrong password even after being logged in on my account on laptop. Called their number to try to buy ticket on phone. After waiting for over 30 minutes and listening to their looped track there was an abrupt hang up saying there was a high volume of calls and to try again later! Hung up!
I then downloaded the App got to the Check out and it would not accept my card details. Checked again still refused. I had use my other credit card.

Its a pain in the rear to use, when error messages pop up because you didn't enter your Suburb and postcode (Which is behind a drop down. That's required even if your tickets are not being posted) it cuts off the progress button at the bottom and i needed to restart the app.
After buying the tickets I was also spammed with a series of 'special offers' and the app tried (but failed) to auto open what looked like two more ads in my safari browser but both crashed. One of them tried to access my facebook account.
Avoid using the app if you can. But the mobile site has identical issues.

I hate that I had to download yet another single purpose, clunky app to store mobile tickets - and it seems you have to be online to access them? Ever tried to get online at the Australian Open or similar major events for which you need a Ticketek ticket? That's insane. I have all my old concert and Aus Open tickets in the Passbook/Wallet app and I love being able to flick through them. I just want to be able to continue doing that, there was nothing wrong with it and there is no good reason to remove that option, except to drive up downloads of your stupid app by nefarious means. I hate that I relented and downloaded this, but the tickets were already bought. Next time, I'll think twice before buying them in the first place and definitely not get mobile tickets, which is a shame when there's such a great system for storing them and it's been there years.

We used to be able to add mobile delivered tickets to the iOS passbook which was GREAT. However recently Ticketek has forced users to use their own Wallet app which requires a data connection to view tickets. Large events are notorious for poor phone signal, some clubs don't even have phone service because they're underground! Bring back iOS Passbook support and stop charging a premium for mobile delivered tickets unless we benefit in some way for opting for it. Currently we risk being unable to access our tickets at all due to this unreliable, unfriendly app.

I shake my head in disgust at how Ticketek can exist being that their core business is selling tickets and yet their web and app interfaces are so poor, I literally have to go visit a Ticketek to be able to select a general vicinity where I'd like to sit at the Football. Is it that hard? Once it tells you the seat it's randomly assigned you, you can't even navigate the map to see where the hell the seat is positioned. It offers you useful information when selecting your ticket like Category 4, and after 5 mins of searching these definitions aren't immediately accessible. Then it gives you handy info like "from $23", which when you click gives you the price of $75. The people involved in the design of this app have never met another human being. The only thing worse is the automated phone menu which is literally impossible to navigate.

My advice to buyers, stick with ordering paper tickets. My advice to ticketek, make sure your system is right before launching it. I bought tickets to the international ice hockey at rod laver. The buying process was easy and right up until the day before the event, the tickets were showing in my ticket wallet. On the day, error. Couldn't get access to my tickets. Couldn't get in to the venue. Tried calling ticketek and waited on hold for 25 mins. No answer. Had to go and line up out the front to get a paper ticket issued and missed the start of the match. Not a good experience at all.

Clearly the Ticketek infrastructure is not robust enough, so why in the world is the Ticket Wallet online, rather than offline? At least making the Ticket Wallet offline would mean that the wallet is always accessible regardless of internet access.
I went to a venue last night and at the point I needed to present the tickets, the Ticketet site was down and therefore the ticket wallet.
The Ticket Wallet should at least be offline so the site being down is never a problem. In fact, it would alleviate stress on a system that is clearly not robust enough anyway,

The app itself is sufficient, some poor UI/UX but otherwise does the job. What baffles me is the use of CONSTANT battery-draining location updates for a pointless feature. Yes you can refuse/disable location updates, but the user shouldn't need to do that (I know plenty who don't know how). Why is the geolocation set to background service instead of using the significant location change API? You're not making a GPS app here. I don't give one star lightly, but this is awfully incompetent and needs to be fixed ASAP.

I purchased Aussie Open Final tickets on this app. All good, smoothly! I can't select seats, true. However, I can't select seats on their website as well. It's not this app's fault. So much better than the first one! I love being able to filter by category, and the homepage is so much easier to use than the old one. The what's on stuff is still there if you want it, but it's not the homepage anymore. Ticket wallet seems cool. Batter drain issue seems to be fixed now too so I can use the location stuff without my phone dying all the time.

Easy to navigate and search event. Easy to buy tickets.
To the seats-selector:
I purchased Aussie Open Final tickets on this app. All good, smoothly! I can't select seats, true. However, I can't select seats on their website as well. It's not this app's fault. I don't know how to select and I don't mind. You accept and thank what you receive. This is life. If you really care about the seats, find some other ways plz.

Options for just growing are terrible.... I also want to be able to see upcoming events that may not have tickets available yet... I like to know early on what events are coming so I can plan ahead and maybe buy pre-sale tickets or buy them when they first become available. I've missed out on a lot of concerts because I didn't even know that they were even on!!! There are just too many features missing in this app and I'm compelled to delete it until the app gets a major overhaul! Could have been one of my favorite apps but ended up just being a really big disappointment! And what's with only knowing what's on on the day!!! Most events are booked out months before and besides, being in Canberra, I would have no way of getting to an event without pure planning days or weeks ahead! Needs more categories and get rid of being able only to search by distance....

Only allows a "within 25km" or 50, 75, 100+ which is hugely impractical for those of us who don't live in a major city but visit for events. Also events come up on a daybyday basis. I really doubt most people are just looking for something nearby to go to that week. I got the app thinking I could use it to see what was coming up, based on my interests. You generally can't buy tickets to a major event a few days in advance. I really hope they improve this app, but in the meantime I would not recommend.
Oh, and is the permanent geofence feature really necessary? No. Not it is not.
