Not happy with new update. Previous edition was easy to use, and flowed well, this new style is not so user friendly from my perspective. It takes longer to download and then spends time downloading again the selection I want.

I work for about fifty percent in rural Australia and South East Asia. I rely on the UK Telegraph as a primary source of reliable news from outside Australia . Whilst the site was ever so problematic in earlier times , unlike a number of UK based sites I use ; It has continued to problem solve and improve in at a much faster rate.
I read the Australian reported news as a way of auditing the reliability of its news and is is always unbiased and accurate. Moreover it is packaged in an easily accessible format .

However news is a tad old and the quality of writing not as it once was.
The writing is still better than most. However I could do better myself so contact me as content, spelling, grammar is not UK TELEGRAPH standard.

I very much like the app, I use it daily to keep up to date with UK news (I live in Australia).
I have noticed recently that from time to time the app closes, only after many attempts does it reload, but at the point it was lost.
Can you also adjust the font size for headline to articles. At the moment having a font that is too large results in a fractured headline.
I am using an iPad mini.
Thank you,

Version 3.2.0
Obstructive ads that aren't proportional to regular ad space, hijacks interface and behave like click bait with no ready means to clear them. Pathetic effort really that seems to indicate they spend very little effort in vetting ads to ensure they are user experience friendly instead of frustrating. Your advertising dollars are important but not worth anything if you have no users.

What have you done? If it were possible to give no stars, I would. The new version is extremely slow in loading and I do mean slow.
The new format is very clumsy to navigate and I really dislike it. You have recently greatly increased the subscription cost of the digital newspaper and are giving a substandard service.

Navigation now as bad as the Times - what was wrong with single tap navigation? Swipe is irritating - the fact that ipad has this function doesnt mean you need to use it. Also I dont need pictures to find an article - words suffice - the drop down menu worked well. Were any users consulted?

Version 2.5.3
This has to be the worst attempt to create a newspaper app that I have seen. It is certainly the least stable app on my iPad. It just presented me with the "please rate me" pop-up and promptly froze and died, prompting me to write this review.
Even in its rare periods of stability is poorly designed, and is not even able to remember where you were after it has been in the background for a few minutes.
Terrible work, please improve it.

Improving from a fairly low base. Still slow to download although better than was. Irritating that the reader cannot forward selected articles which might be of interest to associates. Does not compare well in this regard to either the Financial Times or The Economist. The content is good and the indexing of subject matter also convenient.

Another request for a review? Why bother, those boffins at the Telegraph don't care what you think. No improvement, just heaps of frustration for the user. I deleted and reinstalled again today (how many times?) and now I can't retrieve anything. And because I want to rate the app with no stars, the review is not accepted. So ignore the one star, it should be a big NOTHING.

Been using this app in all it's versions for 18 months now, yes there have been a few glitches and crashes on the way but nothing that a delete and reinstall or even a quick email to support that hasn't fixed. I love the night reading mode and the app is good, but given the competition not as brilliant as others. The Financial Times app is more interactive for example. It is well worth subscribing but the app designers need to innovate and make the editions update quicker during the news cycle and have specialist features and sections that are more alive. More like the Flipboard feeds! Still I wouldn't be without it but the competition is catching up!

Living a long way away from the UK this app keeps me up to date and is a really good read, clear and easy to use. However it crashes constantly and there are days when i simply cannot access it at all. The Telegraph banner comes up and then it simply drops out. Given that I pay for this by the month it is pretty annoying, as once you miss the newspaper for that day you are hardly going to go back days later when access is restored. When it was free it was actually more reliable. If it weren't such a good read I would have cancelled the subscription.

The article lists grouped by sections are terrific and the subscription price is reasonable. Unfortunately, it bombs far too often, and book reviews are not included. Why not? Also, they should, as should all other newspaper or magazine subscriptions, state the price right at the head of the App Store info.
