Growing Pains
In principle this is a good app. But it needs work. I have tried to communicate with the staff but they refuse to phone me and won’t allow customers to phone them (Hello! This is the 21st century). They will never get it right if they decline helpful citizens offering to help.

Weird functionality
Feels like the app hasn’t been tested due to some very basic bugs. Sign up process is painful. Also functionality is strange, like it has been done by a developer without user feedback.

TikTok level data collection
This app collects a surprisingly (and disappointingly) amount of data from you. This is a real shame. As anyone who has had to deal with a council would know, local councils are the scum of human civilisation. If I send them a photo of a damaged street sign, there is absolutely no need for them to know every fine detail about me unless I choose. I don’t choose, so I don’t choose this app.

Version 13.9.0: bug report + great app + how to make it better
BUG:
After choosing "Select photo", the app asks, "Should we use the location attached to this photo?" - but the photo's location isn't added (it adds the current location instead).
PROS:
Very easy to use: take at least one photo, the photo’s GPS coordinates are added automatically, choose the category, add a note if necessary, and send. Boom, done.
The layout is crisp and easy on the eyes.
Regular updates to squash bugs and improve the app - for example, one of my suggestions, to make it so that tapping on the tab’s name scrolls to the top of the screen, has been added.
HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER:
Add the option to switch off notifications that nag us about whether a snap has been solved - if we notice that it has, we’ll let you know.
If you insist on nagging us, then make the notifications location-based so that there’s a chance of us seeing if the problem has been solved.
On the History tab, add a button to mark all notifications as read, so we can get rid of those annoying red dots.
Highlight the “Send report without calling” option so that it looks like the “Call now” button, with a different colour.
Add the Department Of Transport and Translink as Solvers, so we can send reports to them.
Add “street” as a search term for reporting damaged roads.
Add support for dark mode, it’s easier on the eyes.
CONCLUSION:
A great app, with a little room for improvement - 5 stars.

Makes it easy to care
This app makes it so easy to report on things that could be improved in your community. I’ve snapped everything from unsightly abandoned shopping trolleys to broken glass on the footpath to improving bike signage. I particularly love the new feature where you can take start a report from a photo in your camera roll. It takes me about 10 seconds! Whether the issue gets solved and how quickly depends on the council or other responsible authority that you’re reporting to, but when it’s this easy, it’s a no-brainer to report it anyway. Plus, the app allows councils to let you know what the progress is. And it’s a great feeling to walk by and see that you had a hand in making something better for yourself and those around you.

I have been using Snap Send Solve ever since I heard about it. I enjoy reporting things I see around Ballarat. I have always found that my reports have been attended to promptly.
I think it’s a great way to get things done. The authorities in charge of these things can’t be everywhere and they rely on members of the public to keep them informed.

Easy and effective
I love how simple it is to snap photos of issues around me and upload them to a report straight from my photo gallery. Whenever I have a spare moment, like on the train, I create reports of things I've snapped nearby. So much more convenient than those long web forms on council sites.

When I use this app I always get a quick response from the agency needed to deal with the problem. I've had rubbish removed, potholes fixed, garbage sorted, hanging electric wires from posts repaired/removed.

Easy & effective app.
The Snap Send Solve App is great. I’ve used it to notify the relevant authority about dumped rubbish, leaking drains, graffiti, overhanging trees, dumped dirty nappies (yes!) and other worrying issues. It’s simple to use and you can trust the app to send your photos plus location & short description of the issue to the relevant place (ie. Local council, water company etc). Through the SSS App I’ve managed to get a quick resolution to an issue when a neighbour had been trying for weeks without using the App.
Don’t be shy to use in areas which aren’t in your neighbourhood too.

Great app
I use SSS regularly to report dumped rubbish, broken council property, damaged footpaths and roads, leaking water mains. To my amazement the problem is usuallly fixed within a few days. Last week I reported a big pothole near our house and it was fixed within 24 hours. Great service Snap, Send Solve and excellent work Sydney City Council.

My experience and expectations
The response to our posts on SSS has been extremely effective. All issues dealt with in a timely manner and I was even rung when the situation was not easily noticed by the contractor. This system is far superior than contacting the pertinent authorities directly.

I love this app - its so responsive and quick to ise
This app makes reporting issues like graffiti or broken signage etc so quick and easy and I am astonished how quickly the various agencies reponsible for the issues respond. Sometimes within a day! How good is that. So much quicker than other reporting avenues and easier. I especially like the way the app adds the exact position instantly. And I can use the app to report when out and about instead of waiting to get home where I could be distracted by family and life “stuff” and forget to make the report.

Useless
This app is not good for much. If you want a council or government authority to act on something the only way to do this is to donate to the campaign of a politician and ask for a favour in return I have made multiple reports of basic straightforward things to Brisbane City Council, mainly overgrown vegetation and lawns and vehicles illegally parked in loading zones (impeding my work) & none of these have been actioned appropriately. Two stars because the app is well designed and easy to navigate, but that is all because you are really wasting your time.

One of the best apps
We live in a area where a lot of international students park there Ubers or bikes, they park across footpaths, block driveways and dump rubbish. When you call the council or police they do nothing.
Problem solved
Snap send solve fixed that problem in less than 2 weeks, my neighbours love the app as well
And they illegally parking has finally been solved after 3 years of pure chaos

App is great, supermarkets aren’t
I’ve been using this app for quite awhile now, for work and home. It’s a great way to notify council if a playground is damaged, a water main is leaking in the footpath, graffiti in your area to be cleaned.
The problem is when it comes to supermarkets. They’re unresponsive to the reports, and elect to use their own reporting systems instead. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve flagged my local (Woolworths) for finding their shopping trolleys littered around my suburb. They say it ‘works better for them’ to hire out trolley collection, than to institute a geo-located wheel-locking system on its trolleys - an ongoing cost no doubt reflected in their higher prices, than a one-off that keeps the suburb they’re situated in looking it’s best. But I digress.
TL;DR: the app works well for what it is, easy to use, takes the hassle out of who should be looking after things. The downside is the response (or lack of) from those receiving the reports.
