I don’t like the format of this app. It isn’t user friendly and the points take a long time to update. I feel like half the time the offers don’t even work and the staff also have had no training on how the points work and are very unhelpful when asking for clarification. If I was confident each purchase that the offers I activated actually went through, I would definitely spend more on each shop to redeem those points. There is also no information about your Coles plus membership on there. It’s unclear what the benefits are and therefore am considering cancelling. You would think that such a huge company could invest more in a user friendly app… I spend less each shop because I don’t have confidence in the points system and ‘offers’. So much potential. Poor execution.

Flybuys have reduced the points per dollar spent. The promos they offer are like spend X amount to get small amount of points for 4 weeks. It used to be so much better when they had like boosted flybuys on certain items when shopping like what Woolworths does.
Also the surveys are another way for them to collect your data for free but 99% not even eligible for their surveys.
It’s 2023 and you still need to use a physical card to spend your flybuys dollars on your shop.

You have intentionally added a hurdle to make redeeming Flybuys dollars harder. Before you were prompted to use $10.00 and just had to tap on screen at time of purchase. Easy. Now of course you need to add points to physical card in advance and remember to bring your card to store. We use phones and apps for a reason - convenience. Why require a physical card when your Flybuys card is on the app or in your Apple wallet. It makes no sense other than to prevent people from redeeming dollars easily.

$50 was deducted on my shopping

Where do I start?
1. The promised $50 was not deducted on my recent shopping. Although I’ve shopped for the past 4 weeks, as requested $70+ in one shopping, per week, since then, the $50 was not deducted from my shopping neither $50 was loaded in my FlyBuys card.
2. Redeem does not work through the FlyBuys website. I have tried it several times in the past 3 days, I’ve tried in the past & it returns an error message: “Oops an error has occurred please try again later”. Well that later never helps.
3. Over 20 min wait time on the FlyBuys 13 number. As the above steps didn’t help, I resorted to calling the Customer Service Line. After 20 min wait, I gave up. This is not the first time that I had to wait for that long. Mind you, I wouldn’t have you call if the system operated correctly.
4. Customer Complaints - online: as the above 3 steps failed, I emailed to the Flybuys Customer Complaints contact. You’ve guest, no avail!
5. Annoying emails - the 1 & 2 indicate that their system fails or lags behind & that’s also evident by several emails that remind me to do my weekly shopping of the expected value. However, I do my shopping on Monday, therefore these emails are not just unnecessary but also confusing making me wonder if I’ve scanned my FlyBuys card.
FYI, I’ve reported all these points several times when speaking with the Customer Service (point #3) over the past year & there was no improvement! In a year!

I have been with Flybuys since it was launched & I think it is one of the best loyalty programs. Over the years I have saved thousands of dollars using my Flybuy points. In the beginning I used the points for interstate flights & then over the years have used them for shopping. As my husband & I are pensioners it is so helpful to be able to get flybuy dollars for food especially at Christmas time. We do have a credit card with NAB & all our household bills go on it so we get extra points that way. Thank you for setting this up & the stores involved are our favourites.

I find redeeming my Flybuys points very clunky, difficult to use and time wasting. I also use Woolworths points and they are so much easier to redeem. The register tells you when you have enough to redeem, it asks if you would like to redeem them now and all I have to do is click ‘yes’. It’s very simple snd user friendly. I think it’s time that Flybuys tries to catch up and make the Flybuys points easier to redeem.

I find Flybuys to be a good value for money programme. By the end of each year I have enough points to pay for most of our Christmas lunch. I don’t know of another scheme where this is as readily achievable. I think Coles’ deals are fair, I have always been happy shopping at Coles and I find its staff very courteous and helpful. Coles’ Flybuys programme takes on extra significance in the current period of high grocery prices, but here, too, Coles has come to the aid of customers by reducing the price on many items until next year. A great Aussie icon and one my friends from overseas also love shopping at when they come to visit. Thank you, Coles! 😊

I had missing points and phoned Flybuys, took about 40 minutes to be answered. I had activated the offer and the lady said I have to scan the receipt and email, she wasn’t the slightest bit interested in helping me. She said she had no way of checking that which I find incredible. I emailed after taking photos of the receipt. After about 5 weeks I received an email asking for further information which I provided. About 3 weeks passed and I finally got credited with the points. You should follow up with Woolworths Rewards who answer their phones promptly and can see your transactions and sort out all issues on the phone.

I had built up points so I went to Coles knowing I could pay with the points only to find out that even though I have both the coles app and flybuys app the only way to use my flybuys points was to have a physical card. What’s the point of the app?? I don’t even have to carry a drivers license anymore as it’s digital. Ridiculous that I have to have a physical wallet just for a flybuys card that I had to wait more than a week to get delivered and now have to remember to bring with me every time I shop even though I have a perfectly functioning smart phone that contains all my other cards and apps. If I can scan the app to earn points, how much harder is it to use the app to redeem them. Not to mention there is now flypay to earn flybuys points yet it doesn’t even have an app so I’m not even sure how I’m meant to use either service

Overall, very good interface. Intuitive and responsive.
Operational request: the ability to tick off on what offers you have used (this won’t stop you from purchasing more). With supply chain issues at the moment, there are many offers I have to miss on one shop due to the shelves being empty and need to return another day to claim. This should also be noted from a data point of view. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to purchase the item. It was that there was none on the shelf. Perhaps a “tap” for “purchased” and a “double tap” for “out-of-stock”. It may even benefit from a (x) tag for “not stocked at my supermarket”.

Excellent opportunities to grow your flyby points, including excellent promotional activities and single items you buy ion store or online.
There are also great opportunities to earn points and build your balance by doing surveys whenever they show up on the app, (which are always there waiting to be completed)
By far one of the best loyalty programs I have ever come across, Woolworths doesn’t even come close in any slight way.
The only problem is finding something to spend the $2,500 I have accrued in a relatively short time.

Use this app quite often and it is relatively easy to use and navigate.
Recently it has been very glitchy with points redeemed for dollars disappearing off the linked card and returning with a balance of zero.
The points themselves accumulate and display in the front screen but when you select the card icon to view actual dollars that you have used points to convert over to, they have reduced to a zero balance.

During the beginning of August 2022 I’d done a few transactions but they can not be seen since the app only saying track to June 2022. Points take days to arrive, bonus points take more than 4 weeks. Promotions come up after I’ve done a shop which has become the most frustrating because I’m not spending to be rewarded, spending anything needs to be rewarded since most of us are struggling. The app tracks me, tracks my spending so just after I’ve spent, arrives a promotion that says “ spend that again, now to be rewarded, who cares if you just did, we only going to reward you after you do it again”.
Oh and making the spending amount bigger but not making the points worthwhile. Nope. Keeping to my budget.

So when I sign in I can use email and member number, but if I forget password I can only reset password with member number. If I can’t remember member number, I click it and it says look on the back of your card, WITH NO OTHER OPTIONS
All I ever had a temporary card, I then linked it to Apple wallet with a digital card. My Apple wallet digital card number has a number but it’s apparently not the 16 digit card number (which is stupid).
So now in the instance where I don’t have my membership card, and have been logged out of my account, how do I reset my password?
Every single email (of the thousands you send) has my membership number blocked out, sure I understand for security reasons. But seriously create a better way for someone to, 1. Find there membership number, other than looking on the back of the card & 2. Reset password via email without member number & 3. Why does the Apple wallet have a number when that number is completely useless.

Reading a number of other reviews some of the issues that plagued the app back then still occur now. Being logged out regularly is the biggest pain point. Why hasn’t this been addressed?

Can’t believe in 2022 you still make people carry a plastic card just for redemption when you have an app. If I use the app I don’t carry a card.
Let’s talk about wasting paper. Why have you not yet worked on the app to be able to have electronic receipts? People lose paper receipts, they get wet, tear and surely we’ve evolved since the age of a paper receipt for every time we make a purchase.
Woolworths’ app is far superior. My recent purchases are shown in the app, AND I can’t redeem my earned savings directly through the app without a pin or a plastic card.

I don’t mind the app but it is frustrating having to open it and then open my card at the top to scan at checkouts. I had it in my Apple Wallet but it started failing to recognise the card so I deleted and tried adding it again from the app but it says “We’re experiencing a glitch with Apple Wallet. Please try again in a few minutes” - well those few minutes have extended to over a week. I don’t think it’s a glitch, it just doesn’t work. Very disappointing.

It is very disappointing when I have misplaced my Flybuys triple points coupon, at the checkout, a few times, and then later found it and been refused the additional points earned.
Yet if I misplace my card the ordinary points earned can be added later at the front desk! Why is there a difference? A few weeks ago I spent over $200 at Coles and when I returned later with the found TPC I was told it was not possible to add those lost points.
I felt crushed and lost my faith in Coles & FBs! Groceries are so expensive now we all need a lot of sweeteners to stay with Coles!
I can’t believe they are unable to transact such a simple request, which would take only seconds.
! I will be 88 in June and still do my own grocery shopping, but I do sometimes forget to take my FBs Coupon! Please change this cruel rule ASAP. Love your customers and we will love you back, truly. Sincerely,

1. this app continually asks me to ‘reset’ my password, as it states that my password is incorrect. sometimes within an hour of using the app previously, resetting my password, AND re-saving an entirely new password on my iphone.
YES, my iphone is up to date, the app is also.
2. still no way to remove the ‘additional person’ information from your account, which has been mentioned MULTIPLE TIMES, going back Years, when looking into methods for solving this issue. It seems ridiculous, when it’s YOUR own FlyBuys account, and you cannot remove a person’s name from this account, especially when the ‘additional person’ CANNOT make any alterations to Your own account without your previous consent/access. makes no sense…

Coles continues to add hurdles to get your reward dollars. They make every step difficult. Whatever happened to just rewarding you for spending the money where you were promoted to use your rewards. You now have to activate the offers, log into your account (seems to get signed out very often) sign in again to redeem dollars. Must have physical card to get rewards at check out. Then you usually have to get an assistance to use the card selection. If Coles doesn’t want to reward customers for shopping with them they should be big enough to just pull the programme. Sadly we don’t have a Woolies close by otherwise we would change

I enjoy the ease of activating offers and not having to remember to take coupons with me to the shops. However, this app needs work as single use offers need to be taken off your activated offers once you have used it, or have it clearly marked to indicate you have used it. If you can have an e receipt with Woolworths why not with Coles? And being able to redeem most offers in Woolworths up to 5 times is something flybuys needs to look at to be a worthy competitor. The hidden offers function does not work, daily I “hide” the offer from purchasing fuel with 4cents off or in shop purchase, daily it reappears, please fix ASAP. Take notes from the Woolworths rewards app, it works much better

It’s frustrating that it logs me out every time there is an app update. Happens so often and each time I have to re-find my card so I can figure out my membership number just to log back in. Also on that note, why can’t we sign in using an email address rather than member number? I don’t remember my member number and when I check any flybuys emails and letters it’s always XXXX crossed out! Painful…

Decent app; barcode problem in  Watch Wallet app

Really happy with the app team.
A bug that needs fixing is the Flybuys card barcode doesn’t show up on the  Watch Wallet app. It says “scan your barcode” but there isn’t one to scan. Often I’ll go to the supermarket with only my watch and Apple Pay and would love to be able to scan my Flybuys card through my watch Wallet app.
Didn’t want to leave this bug fix in a review but no other way to contact you with bug fixes and suggestions.

Nice to see your updating your app. But thanks for forgetting and segregating the ones who can’t buy new gadgets at a drop of a hat. We have iPhones and iPads that won’t update to the new apple software, but work fine, we look after our devices, but we just can’t buy new fancy ones right now, so we can’t use the app. I don’t want to always log onto a browser to be able to use your site. I want & need the app to work. Why can’t you allow the app to work on older devices. Very disappointing. Please think of the ones who can't just buy new gadgets as needed. We are just trying to make ends meet, we use your app, so allow us please. Don't segregate us.

For the love of all that’s good, please behave like other apps - even most BANKING ones, and allow the app to retain login information so customers don’t have to manually log in EVERY SINGLE TIME with their email/member number and password, even to activate an offer from an EDM email. Previously, it used to allow me to activate an email offer directly - you’ve now forced traffic into the app but have this stupid requirement to re-authenticate from scratch at arbitrary times and after every update - and have no function for PIN or Face ID authentication… Seriously, Flybuys, you’re brilliant and I know you can do better in your CX here to make customers’ lives easier.

The app logs you out way too often - what on earth for? It’s a loyalty card app, why do they think there’s a security issue here? Lack of thought by the developers on how it’s used in the real world I’d suggest. Pretty basic stuff.
It’s annoying because you won’t know until you try and use it at check out, and that’s a poor time to try and get back in again. It also doesn’t remember your membership number (a long stream of numbers you won’t remember either).
Coles competition have an app that actually holds gift cards (ie money) that doesn’t log out, so why does this glorified loyalty card seem to want higher security?
That’s said, it does it’s job well enough when you can get into it.

I’ve lost my card, so I’ve been trying to access my account through the app to order a replacement card because I lost it, but can’t login because I’ve also forgotten my password. No worries, So I try to reset my password, but to reset your password, I need my flubuys card number (which i’ve lost). So maybe I’ll try the customer support team - surely they can help right? Well, I’ve been trying to call them since the 13th July and just get a recording saying my estimated wait time is 50 minutes, which is totally inaccurate because I’ve sometimes been on the phone for an hour and 15 minutes and i still haven’t been able to reach someone. This is the worst company I have dealt with. What modern company does not allow you to reset your password using your email address? If I could rate them 0 stars, I would. Just terrible.

Disappointed that after redeeming points for spend credit I was informed by the checkout operator that I need a physical flybuys card to spend the credit! Really?! These days with digital apps I don’t even have a wallet. I just use my phone for apple pay and even have a digital licence. Now I have to go and order a physical card and carry it around to use fly buy credit like it was 2002. This is not very convenient or customer focused or environmentally friendly in my opinion. In contrast the woolworths app is all inclusive and the automated checkout will automatically offer to exchange points for store credit once digital card scanned. Also, why can’t an option of digital receipts be offered like the woolworths app, saving paper and making it more convenient for customerss. Indeed you’ve put more security on the app than my bank uses but honestly the content is far less. I do hope subsequent versions will remedy these limitations.

I tried to transfer my flybuys $108 dollars towards my shopping and they disappeared. After 3 or more phone calls using the phone number on the Flybuys card I was told my request was passed onto a specialist team to deal with the glitch. Months later no one has responded to my phone calls or email. I think this is a very poor result for me and puts flybuys at the bottom of my list. Once your problem is passed up the line you may as well talk to a brick wall. No one will bother to talk to you or even try to sort the problem. The system is set up in such a way no one is directly contactable or responsible.

When I first got this app a year or more ago, it worked perfectly. The widget was all I needed to quickly scan my items. Then it stopped working forcing me to open the app to scan it which still hasn’t been fixed for months now. Not to mention that it wants to be re-login every now and then, which according to other reviews is because it’s updating, which honestly what?
The electronic version is meant to be as convenient or more convenient than the physical card, which I think all users can agree is no longer the case.

I dont remember how many times i had to lose getting the points because i only discovered i got logged off by the app when i was standing at the register. Also why can you not streamline the re-login experience dor the existing users. When you have loads of people behind you in the Q, having to type in email or membership number (if i am lucky to remember it) and password (and potentially several times due to the fat finger or pressure from the sotuation) easily make me give up on using the app. Why can’t you just use face ID like Woolworth or CommBank app? This is bad, really bad. You really need to improve this.

I’d prefer all old version of coles app. This version of flybys is really annoying. Almost every other month requires a sign in. I was not able to find out my account was signed out before I was right in the middle of check out. Hey guys, I really left my email address while sign up, why can’t I sign in with email address? If I took card with me why do I bother to download this app? Could you please make the login last longer or even forever?
As I also use the app rewards, I really like their function of ebill, could you please add a similar function in the future? It’s more eco friendly.
Also, about using flybys dollar, have to bring a physical card is really inconvenient. Looking at your conpatitor, they are doing way better than you!

I actually quite like the app for checking balances, browsing offers etc. it works very well. But please enable integration with Apple wallet. Ideally I’d like to claim points & also use my flybuys dollars by scanning via Apple wallet. Your main competition has already done this, and it works well which does influence where I shop, as I don’t like to carry a physical wallet anymore. Once you’ve done this you’re going to have a brilliant product here. Thanks

Yet another update in just weeks and after breaking the Flybuys card widget it has now been REMOVED ENTIRELY from widgets. Why is it so hard to fix? Still no sign of iOS Apple Wallet integration even though your biggest competitor has had it for 2 years. Your local competitor is within walking distance from your affiliated store and simply because your app experience is so painful and theirs is streamlined and easy, I now shop there.

I don’t mind the app but am so frustrated that the once working widget that is so convenient (honestly is just as convenient as using wallet/Apple Pay) has not been working for months and months - so l9ng I actually can’t recall when it stopped. The whole purpose of having a digital option is to make it simpler, having to go into the app whilst more convenient than going into your physical purse/wallet is still more time consuming than a quick flick of screen to access the widget. Like others have said when at a busy checkout you feel so guilty of holding people up whilst you open app to get card even more so if it’s been updated and need to re-log in. I give 3 stars as the app itself is very good for checking balance, activating/seeing available offers but the widget issue and constantly being logged out each update brings down the overall score, fix those and would be a 4/5 star.

What a pain that everytime there is a new update, you get logged out! And have to sign back in! How often do I use my flybuys login password? Every time I need to use it in the shop, I can see it’s been logged out and when I try to log back in, obviously I can’t as the password I had selected for this app was during the last time I used it so ages ago! Not forgetting it needed to have all the stuff, numbers, characters, capital letters etc as well so it was accepted by the app. So not an easy one to remember! You either need to reduce the frequency of these updates or just don’t logged out people when the update is done.

I find it frustrating that the app keeps logging me out. I use the app on my phone, as it’s more convenient than the physical card, but when I get to the till and find it’s logged me out, I don’t have time to start logging myself in and remembering my password. So instead I lose the points and as there is no way to add miss points later, that is an unacceptable thing for it to do. The app always worked well and was really handy, but now, it’s logged out more times than it’s logged in. It would also be nice if I could just add it to my Apple Wallet, so I don’t have to switch between the app and my wallet.

Being able to scan your flybuys card on one’s mobile phone without having to bring along the physical card is great.
But what’s the point of having to keep login in every single time after updating the app?
When the user open the app and wanting to scan the barcode and realised that have to login again to be able to scan the barcode.

There’s been a glitch since 2017 where it won’t log in with your existing password and you have to phone up this will be the 3rd time I’ve called about the same issue I’ve turned off automatic updates as that must be why I keep having this issue when will the app be fixed? This update is the worst yet and I won’t be using the app until it’s fixed. Despite logging in initially and enabling Face ID and Touch ID, I’m expected to go through an exhaustive log in process with flybys number (or scan the card) and password each time just to scan my flybys at the checkout! I’m going to uninstall it and go back to my plastic card. What is the point of enabling touch and Face ID’s if they can’t be used to log in? What is the point of scanning my flybys card to log in to the app every single time? Why would I even need the app if I have to use the card to access it?

Why does your app persist on logging the users out every time they updated to a new version? It is very annoying. Usually when I’m on the app I’m at Coles already. The worst thing you could do to inconvenient your users. Please fix this immediately. It’s been 2 new versions now that keep on logging me out.
It’s a good app otherwise. Not great. Could do with a lot of improvement, eg, auto-synch user’s flybuys info between Coles app and this app when both apps are installed on same device. We shouldn’t have to choose which one we should uninstall.. and please get on with fingerprints login.

Since the flash screen update the app is playing up badly. Constantly logging me off and cannot check my offers when in store as it will not log on. It did work perfectly ok and I was using it almost daily but I am switching to Woolworths up which works great until you make your app user friendly again. Don’t need flashy screen just make it work for so I can stay logged in.

Please lose the pointless splash screen on loading! You can still show your brand elsewhere in the app. I simply want to quickly access ‘my card’ to add points at check-out. Worse, my local Coles has such bad mobile reception it’s 3G/1 Bar and this app takes so long to load that if I don’t open it before I get to the check-out I sometimes don’t bother scanning so I’m not holding up others. At other stores where the mobile coverage is better it’s less painful but still clumsy with the splash screen - cut to the chase!
Also need to add Apple Wallet integration. I would prefer to simply scan my Apple Watch at check-out to add my rewards and use the app on the phone later to check activity, balance etc. The main competitor to this app now does this very effectively and it’s actually influencing where I’m shopping due to the above issues.
Look forward to seeing ongoing development to this product for those who prefer a fully digital experience with retail rewards.

If you are having issues logging in to the new app, like I was, check your details online are correct, especially your address. If your house number is missing or is preceded by “null”, update it. You should be able to login successfully to the app afterwards. A new version of the app was also released today to fix any other issues that were casing this problem. Support were a great help.

I updated to version 3.15.0, which immediately logged me out of my profile on the app. This seems unnecessary, as you can add 2-step verification, an app PIN and fingerprint unlocking in other apps without being logged out first.
While the app visually appears to be the same, it’s buggy in ways the previous version wasn’t. For example, I can’t action any of the offers listed under ‘Available’ - the app reports ‘Resource not found’ when you try to activate, dismiss or alternate from A to B options (like 10,000 bonus points or $50 off your shop).
Quite frankly, the devs somehow ‘updated’ a working app to be trash.

I’m having the same issue as other users with the new app. I put in my member number and password and keep getting the “something went wrong” error. I know my log in details are correct, because I can log in online without any issues. Extremely frustrating that I can’t log in on the app.
UPDATE: Tried logging into the app again today (have tried everyday for the last week) and the problem seems to be resolved. Thanks for your help tech support. Have updated my rating 😊

I have never been so disgusted with the Coles Group I didn’t think they could sink any lower. I apparently do not qualify for ANY of the surveys to collect Flybuy points due to being a low income earner. Coles Group don’t even try to defend yourself whenever I went to the part of the survey what’s “my income” I was disqualified but hang in there we will direct you to another survey and the same thing happened. The surveys asks you so many questions and then you get to the part about your income and it’s “oh you don’t qualify” SHAME ON YOU.

I got told the same thing I’m not who I am. Can’t claim my redemptions says I have to login then my email isn’t valid or my email is not verified yet they keep sending emails to my not yet verified email. How’s that work? On the phone for ages accused me of changing something I didn’t then says I have to email them my drivers license to prove it’s me. I don’t like sending information over the net when everyone knows it can be hacked intercepted manipulated and passed in to 3rd parties without consent. Why can’t you just goto coles and get things sorted out there in person?
Why hasn’t my activity updated since June ? Even though the app has been updated to the latest version! 6 mths of not showing activity is not good enough. Could be getting ripped off fir points and not aware

I wanted to email support or report a bug but unfortunately there is NO developer support email address- ok, so I will give you a bad review.
This app has just released 3.12.0 and I have tried multiple times to just OPEN and RUN this app it just stays frozen on the new splash screen. No visual feedback on what is going eg a loading animation or anything else. I have reproduced this 3 times and each time it is frozen for more than 2 minutes- I haven’t timed past this because I have given up and frankly I’m not being paid to free QA on an app that surely should have bothered and has budget to do proper UAT.
You should not release apps without testing across devices etc, I have no idea how this even passed review process.
Following from this- you have no actual support or contact. This means there is no way to report bugs or resolve issues. Terrible process management. Get your act together, who is charging you for this app development and management lol they are making a fortune ripping off the business at the expense of users.
Would love to see the analytics on the massive engagement drop due to the app not even launching.

However it would be really, really, really, great to have the ability to no longer scan your Flybuys card via barcode and instantly tap to scan using the new day and age technology features like Apple Pay.
