FPL Drawer Enhancements
• A new strip across the bottom of the FPL drawer provides an enhanced view of key flight information, with a touch control that allows you to resize the FPL view vertically.
• The flight information strip is also visible at the bottom of the Navlog Profile View, just as it is in the Edit tab.
• In the Profile View, the Layer Selector and Settings have been relocated to the top-right corner for easier access.
• The Profile View ruler has also been improved for ease of use.
Support for Civil Twilight
• Accurately log day and night hours with new solar data, including morning civil twilight, sunrise, sunset, and evening civil twilight for any airport worldwide, ensuring compliance with flight regulations.
• View solar data for the current day and the next three days.
• Access solar data for four days total: the current day plus the next three days.
• To access this information, tap the chevron next to the sunrise/sunset times in Airport Details or navigate to Info > Details > Solar Information.
• Solar information uses latitude and longitude to accurately calculate when the sun is 6° below the horizon, providing a more precise measurement for FAA night flight requirements.

Additional Hazard Altitude Options
• New 100’ and 500’ Hazard Altitude options are now available for lower altitude flying.
• Access these options by navigating to Map Settings > Hazards > Hazard Altitudes > Low: 100’ / 500’.
New VFR Add-On Charts
• Customers in North Africa and Japan can now add VFR charts from Rogers Data and AIS to any subscription that includes the corresponding ForeFlight regions.
• New Rogers Data VFR charts for North Africa East and North Africa West are available for customers with the Africa region as part of their ForeFlight subscription. Coverage includes the northern Middle East up to Syria.
• New AIS Japan VFR charts, provided by Airman’s Information Service Ltd., are available for customers with the Asia/Pacific region as part of their ForeFlight subscription. These charts offer detailed coverage in three scales: 1:500k for full country coverage, 1:250k for specific parts of the country, and 1:100k for the Tokyo area. The appropriate scale will automatically display based on your zoom level, or you can manually switch between them using the Map Touch Action feature.
New Runway Analysis Aircraft Support
• ForeFlight’s advanced Runway Analysis product for turbine aircraft now supports the Piper M700, Cessna Citation 550B Bravo, and Cessna Citation 560 V.

Lacking so many safety critical features
I could go on an absolute rant but I won’t. Company claims to fully support Australia but can’t even tell you LSALT’s along you’re route or display critical points. It can’t even give you correct routing from the route advisor. Nearly $600 AUD for the performance plan. An absolute waste of money when you can get nearly all the same features plus Australia focused ones from AvPlan and OzRunways for less then half the money. Don’t waste you’re time and money.

No internet access with ADS-B unit attached. Big drawback!
You cannot see other Foreflight traffic like OzRunways or Avplan. They do not have such a feature but use FlightAware instead. But you cannot access FlightAware data either who they have partnered with as you have no mobile data! So if you are flying and connected to Sentry Plus, this disables mobile data so FlightAware traffic cannot work! They could fix this internet issue but have chosen not to. If they updated the firmware so the IOS device sees it as "no internet connection", it will then cause your device to use mobile data instead. Other ADS-B brands not associated with ForeFlight do this and hence others apps do not have this problem. So you can see more traffic with OzRunways and AvPlan then ForeFlight as a result. Support could be be a lot better with some of their staff as when I spoke of the problem of not having internet access and not being able to do a PACK for one example, they told me I had to do my flight with mobile data off, but do the Pack in the runup bay with mobile data on and then turn mobile data off for the flight. However, having mobile data off causes Foreflight to give an error on load saying no mobile data access. It took several emails to get them to respond to this which resulted in them now telling me the opposite and to use ForeFlight with mobile data on even though it does not work. If you asked 2 or more questions to support, they only answered one question and ignored the rest. When the head of support noted I had said this in one email, she personally responded and did an excellent job in responding and answering all questions I asked. She was excellent. So if you plan on using ADS-B and want mobile data available when possible during flight, then OzRunways or AvPlan are your only choices unless they fix this. I sure hope they do as their app has a lot of potential and powerful features, and though more expensive to use, I would still use it if they fixed this. I saw on their web site with the Sentry that they had done this previously. I hope they do it again, or better still, add their own server like OzRunways and AvPlan so we can see more traffic, as safety should be a high priority. There traffic warning system is first class but falls down in regards to seeing less traffic than other flight apps.

Downloaded it and used the resources in it to study for, get charts for, plan and fly an license renewal and instrument renewal in Australia after having not flown in that country for 7 years. It was so great and convenient, well worth the money. Am now using it to prepare for my FAA stuff. Great app!

Good app but it does not have a comprehensive Australian database.
Also, it not not approved as an EFB by the regulator CASA.

Not a RW pilot, Just a Simmer
As a simmer, it satisfies all my objectives. Admittedly, I do not use the advanced weather features and other facilities eagerly sought by rw pilots. I am from Australia, however, I use the US Charts, primarily, California. That’s because I used “PilotEdge” which I consider a unique service. Flying thru LA Airspace is pretty daunting and being able to look ahead and identify your location and restrictions makes things that much easier. That was the first reason why I subscribed to the basic service. Another reason is the clarity of display - irrespective of the zoom level ... great for guys who are getting older faster than their aircraft taking off (me). The third reason is everything is at your fingertips - all the charts imaginable and the highlighting facilities that exist. The fourth reason is the SUPPORT service. This is really something. Ask a question and presto you have an answer. I bet some of the staff live down under. I use FF on FSX and lately on Xplane 11 in conjunction the Reality GTN. They compliment each other admittedly with quite a bit redundancy. Price wise - happy. Almost forgot - taxiing thru a complex maze in a large airport is a breeze. Five out of Five. Charles Abela
