Nice app. It helped me to get to school on time, and I always consider that a win. A feature that could be better is the timing of when the bus / train arrives, because the app says that it arrived while itās still picking up passengers from the previous stop.

The app has promise, with slick ui and a decent user experience. But, the fact that you canāt save trips and still get served ads makes it worse than my cityās native app.
Maybe if there some functionality that wasnāt the entire core function being locked out unless you paid it might have some use. As it stands it style with no substance.

Very good way to not waist your time waiting for a ghost public transport. Also, bus 440 is absolute hopeless, it always coming too early for 21:05pm at opposite Orange Grove Plaza towards to Rozelle. Better take off 21:05 timetable.

The app is great, it tells me train, bus and ferry times and what times they get to the stops and what type of vehicle it is. The only bad thing is the ads and the fact that your searches donāt save, they just go away and you have to put them in again.

This app is unreliable when there is a delay. It shows the wrong times and when you trust it, you are hopeless. Itās better off to ask the guards at the station. If none, you are kind of done for if you are in an emergency.
Also I believe it is a right to get good support and the best if you are relying on checking timetables on phones or on mobile in general. You SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY for a better version. The better version should be free and it shouldnāt be outrageously better than the free one. It forces people to buy something that is a daily essential for life.
Finally, this APP IS GIVING ME FAKE ADS ABOUT MY PHONE HAVING SOME SORT OF VIRUS ON IT. IT JS A SCAM WEBSITE AND I CANāT BELIEVE TRIPVIEWLITE IS ALLOWING THIS. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FIR THIS TRAP.
Overall, this app is really chaotic and not helpful when you need it. It is clearly made to gain profit and not give you what you need. It may seem good but once youāve had it for a while, youād most likely think that the pro version or other apps altogether are way better.

Not sure..
Iāve had enough of waiting for the train that never seems to arrive on time, or arrive 2 minutes earlier. Itās become a routine of endless delays, and the lack of communication from the staff only makes it worse. Iāve stood at the platform for what feels like hours, watching every other mode of transportation come and go, while the train I need is always ādelayedā or ārunning late.ā The lack of consistency and reliability is frustrating, especially when youāve planned your day around it. Iāve had meetings, appointments, and even social events ruined because I couldnāt rely on this service. That said, once the train finally does show up, itās honestly not half bad. Itās clean, comfortable, and the ride itself is smooth. The staff are generally polite, and when you do get to your destination, the trip is pretty efficient. But honestly, the delays are a dealbreaker, and I canāt help but wonder how much better this experience could be if they just figured ou the timing. I just donāt understand why something so basic canāt be handled better. Itās good once youāre on it, but the stress of waiting is a whole different story.

Love the live updates and being able to see the train location and next destination. You canāt save your trip so you check in anytime to see where you are. If you leave or close the app, you have to search for the trip again and have to remember the time it left.

Quick & easy to use - some glitches
Recently I was caught up in a street protest march while waiting for a bus. The app didnāt allow for this, even though a policeman told me itās a regular march. I had no idea where to go to join the bus as it still said bus was coming to my stop. I ended up getting a taxi.

Used to be very accurate, now just mostly accuratd?
Iāve been using Tripviewās paid version for two years and always recommended it to people visiting or moving to Sydney. I take the train almost everyday.
Iām not sure what has happened recently but the timings on the app have been off by 1-2 minutesā typically it would indicate when a train is running late or early.
This isnāt a one time occurrence, itās happened to me several times in the past couple weeks and it never has been an issue before. While the app is still useful, the UX of most other map apps are much better, so the main factor people use Tripview for are accuracy and familiarity.
Iām curious about whatās gone on and why the times suddenly arenāt accurate. This morning my train left 2min early, and the following one came 1min late, with no indication for eithet. I understand theyāre small increments of time, but it feels less reliable than before since those small increments result in missing the train or the connecting suggestion becoming irrelevant.

For example: there is a stop in Chadstone shopping centre and you sorted in stands but with no number or letter or both so I want you to sort those stops with stands with number and letters or both please add one that is like a main stop that shows all buses going to whatever place there going to just like the one in NSW version

Train and buses mixed
The app is absolutely amazing and always comes in handy however something has gone wrong. It was working fine yesterday but today when I wanted to check trains it shows bus stops at the train station rather than the actual train. I have reinstalled and restarted my phone but the same issues occurs. The bus section works as normal. I need a fix asap otherwise this app is totally worth the 5 stars.

Now useless
This app used to work wonders but not anymore. I updated to the new paid version so I can see the trains timetable . This app doesnāt show any time tables anymore - how can I plan a trip without knowing what time the train is arriving and at what station!!

Mostly inaccurate bus times
Iāve been using this app for years and thereās been more than a few times where itāll say the bus is coming later than the expected time or earlier, but upon arrivals where I would think Iām on time I usually missed it by a few mins or more when the timetable would say otherwise. I always check the app 4x or more and it seems to change back and forth. Is this some kind of bug within the app or?

Pretty Hopeless
Decent app features but sometimes unreliable with Sydney train/metro services. Sometimes miss trains or go to the wrong platform (even multiple times) for the same train when using app. Update: had to rush for a evening service, didnāt double check the platform timetable and got on the wrong train without realising. Only discovered when it said a station I was unfamiliar with and the alarm bells in my head went of. ONLY USE AS A GUIDE! - Train times and platforms not reliable. āTrain arriving in 10 minutesā the app says. Nope actually the trains already arrived and now you just missed it. Iām done with the app, so many issues and problems and they want us to pay for a ābetterā version? No way. Third time this week āthe train is 2min awayā, look on the live map, itās already left the station. Deleted

Good app, need fixing
Really good app works well but it keeps showing that my train is cancelled or late by 10 minutes but when I get to the station it had already gone, the app was wrong, and most time I then have to wait an extra 30-50 minutes on top of the train wait, most scenarios I would have made it to the train quite easily as well.

Great app and free - you get what you pay for!
Been using this app since I moved to Sydney 2019 and it is a lifesaver in coordinating the trains needed to get me around with live updates. When I moved a friend recommended this app and suggested the paid version so you can save the trips but I was happy enough trying the free version and selecting my stops each time, but after using for 2 years am going to switch to paid version to support developers. People complaining they canāt save their trips when this is clearly noted as a paid feature need to learn that you get what you pay for.

Unreliable
I have no trust in Sydney buses as they are not reliable, never on time and often late or never stop even when you signaled the driver. I missed three buses in a row because the driver decided not to stop and we ( waiting customer) have no idea what to do! Thereās no communication, customers have to wait in the hope that a bus would show up and pick us up. That is not good customer service! Thats called mayhem and Sydney buses need to come up with a better customer communications system as we are living in the 21st century and not in the dark ages!
Management needs to resolve this inefficiency that has been on going in this city. Itās a shame to think Sydney is a wold class city and yet our bus system is so behind. Why canāt we improve a system that most citizens are relying on a daily basis? Whatās stopping us?!
Also, please stop preventing our reviews by asking us to come up with nick names. I have entered my real name and your system says it has been taken. Itās pathetic!

i am enjoying my experience using trip view as i dowloaded it quite recently and it is of course very useful. but as the trips do not save it causes quite a problem as i am rushing to get the bus and it doesnāt save how on earth am i supposed get around if i donāt know what my app is telling me because it goes blank before i get a chance to look at it! this is quite scary for me as i fear i will not get the right bus or get off at the right stop!! i am not suggesting that you make it completely free but at least for US free users, let us save at least one or two vital trips! this would 100% make me review tripview with 5 stars and would recommend to all of my friends who also take the bus often!!

Great App
This app is great for the one off travel... timetables are updated frequently and being able to see where the bus/train is is a bonus... highly recommend. To keep your travel routes you need to purchase the full version but it costs less than a cup of coffee so again if you travel often on public transport this is a must have.

Not always consistent
It is great most of the time however sometimes the times arenāt up to date. Had a bus running 2 minutes early from 8:01a so arriving at 7:59, I checked this at 7:57. I was crossing a pedestrian bridge and kept looking to my left up the road as the bus stop was just underneath to the right. I go down the stairs and start walking to the bus stop to see the bus had already been there (arriving at 7:56 or early 7:57) and was pulling away at 7:58. TripView then updates to 7:58 when it didnāt even arrive at 7:58. This has happened a few times now š

Free app
This app gives me access to information about my train timetables and whether the trains are running late. It also gives advance notice of track work being done and other options for public transport. I use this app daily to get to work on time.

Search going off when the phone locked
This app is very helpful. The only change i donāt like is when the last search will go away in a few minutes when your phone locks. Unlike before, you just leave it open and when you go back to check its just there. Now you always have to type the search.

How you even gonna charge us for your bus timetable. Half the time the bus locations arenāt even available. Scrap premium and light and just give us full function.
Thanks for your response. As an independent developer, you need to raise revenue. Could you find value in the data generated by the app users? If you sold the data back to the transport providers and combined that with advertising revenue, could you provide a single free app with full functionality and still see enough profit to make the effort worth while?
Do you have to pay for access to the transport info provided by the transport providers? I assumed there was free API access, but I have to admit that I have no idea about that. If you are paying, I think the API providers could lift their game.

Should be able to run at background
Whenever we open the app and get to any schedule of trains, and try open other app instead, it automatically exits and go back to the home page. It would be great id this app will be able to run at background. For your kind information, I am using this app in ios.

Trip destination completed
It is a great app, you can track how far your bus is from your destination and it can probably do the same with other transportations e.g ferries, trains and light rail. If your data is on it can tell you if it is running late/early by how many minutes as well. In my opinion there is only 2 problems 1st problem - with the free app your trip search will disappear once you leave the app and will need to go through the whole process again. 2nd problem -If you run out of data it wonāt tell you if it is running on time or not but other then that it is a pretty good app!

Why the features of the app changed?
Itās very disappointing that after purchasing the app, the features of saving trips were taken away from the trip view users. Why the service is reduced by calling the app lite though we paid whatās been asked to get what we thought we will be getting in the future. This is very sneaky and dishonest way of making money! We are asked to pay more to upgrade the product to be able to get what we used to get!!!!

Love My Trip Advisor
I was waiting for a train one day and I got chatting with this lovely lady. She told me about the Trip Advisor App and how wonderful it was because I was having trouble understanding local time tables online from other sources. She helped me load it on my phone and I have enjoyed using it very much. Trip Advisor is very easy to use. Love it!

Today I missed a non existent bus
Multiple times has the gps tracker screwed me over. Sometimes it stops moving for no reason, but today was the icing on the cake. No gps tracker at all for this bus but I can see which stop itās currently at. Iām at my bus stop early and I watch the bus go past my stop on the app. I wait for another 5 mins to see if itās delayed in any way. Nope. Apparently Iāve missed an invisible bus. Iāve been waiting for an hour and extra 20mins, still no bus. Not another bus for an hour.
Iām rating two stars because this could be a great app if they just patched the real time bugs.

Add a option for saving daily or favourite route
I have been using the app for few years now and its been great. However its just annoying that I cannot save my favourite route in the app, it would be nice to have that feature so that i do not have to search every day rather I just open the app and click on my favourite route. Thanks.

Trip view is really a great app, you can find out train timings and bus timings which is really handy, I don't find it annoying in much way because it is useful to me in many ways, I give it a 5/5 and recommended for people who catch the train or bus from all ages

Handy app
Great app, but needs to allow an option to save your trip, once you can see your trip details, because as soon as you close the app, you have to type everything in, all over again.

TripViewLite
TripViewLite does what itās supposed to, and improvements are made. It seems some features are designed to slow or confuse its use - perhaps to encourage the user to switch to the pay version. Services passing stops adjacent to the selected stop (or even going in the opposite direction!) are included in the display; the ādoneā button is hard up against the ad link, the choice of āby nameā versus āby nameā is counter-useful, meaning more clicks to use. And of course the trip display resets if you switch to another app - highly frustrating.

Shortcuts to save
Great app.
One thing I feel should be there is that app should store the routes of buses/trains we check daily.
We have to enter every bit of information everytime on exiting n coming back. There should be some shortcuts to save our daily routes information.

Will keep using it
Iāve been using this app for 6 years so far and I have no complains. Easy to navigate, time is accurate and update download is fast. Improvement area: notification about delays in users frequent route

Re do
Once we search for a trip and within few seconds check another app on the mobile then the trip details vanishes and we have to re do it again.
The app should keep the data of the trip saved at least for 10-15mins

Best Travel App in Sydney!
Visitors & local alike: Download. This. App. I do mine by map, and I love the feature which lists multiple buses for your desired destination. It makes looking for the right bus a breeze, and also timing the morning ritual. Only reason I took a star was because when you go away from the app, you lose your searches journeys. That may also be because I have the free one. Hehe. Enjoy! X

Works...Sometimes
So for buses, this app is alright, but for trains it is absolutely horrible. Youāre better off using the digital boards at the actual station for more accurate train times. This app made me decide not to get on a train because it displayed that the next train would get me to my destination faster. However, when the next train did come, it was one that stopped at every stop before my destination and I had to take it otherwise I would have been late to uni!! And the app said that the next train would stop at less stops than the previous train! Poor performance and reliability from this app š”

Clock Issues
Iāve mostly enjoyed trip view. But it was recently changed and Iāve been missing trains. It took me a while to realise the change. I use to set my clock ahead so that I was always a couple of extra minutes ahead of the schedule. But now it updates the number of minutes until a service according to an online/app time, not my clock. While I see its usefulness, I donāt like this feature as it removes an element of autonomy from the user.

Efficient App for Travel
Itās a great app with features to see all notifications, delays and timings of buses, trains and ferries. You can also track where each of the travel mediums are, so that you can plan your trip way ahead of time. The only drawback is that, with the free version of this app, the trips get refreshed every time you close it. So you have to add the trip every time. The pro version costs about 4.50 aud which allows you to save all your routes and trips.

Great but some bugs
Great app, gets me to my bus on time but one problem; some buses donāt have real-time data. I donāt know why this is but some buses donāt get real-time updates even though I know that they are coming, one of my buses which I catch everyday never has any real-time data and is constantly late but I never know how late it is. I would love to see this get fixed but other than that itās a great app and definitely recommend it to anyone commuting around Sydney.

This app is unreliable. I had to take my daughter to the hospital on a Uber when I searched up if Wolli Creek takes the train to Belmore as seen on the screen. I wouldnāt recommend this app at all. She was late for her operation appointment. Highly disappointed. Iām being nice with giving one already. šš»šš»šš»šš»šš»šš»šš»šš»šš»

Favourite option
You miss one of the very important selection to have in this app which is favourite option. Rather then selecting the same station every day for time check why you don't put " favourite " option ( as often used routes) so that we don't need to put the same destination every day again and again!!!

Good app but real-time bus updates could be better
This is a great app but the real-time updates can be delayed for Sydney buses. Quite a few times of gotten to the bus stop 2-3 mins before the estimated arrival of the bus based on what is indicated on Trip View Lite only to find that it has been and gone. I've now learnt to get to the stop at least 5 mins beforehand. I have seen that this happens with the paid version of the app too. This may be a problem with GPS info being sent from the bus rather than a Trip View issue.
