Description

GPS Log is a location-first way to record your adventures. Whether you're backpacking overseas, or exploring your local neighborhood, GPS Log gives you everything you need to capture your travels, share your favorite places with your friends, and find your way back again!
How it works:
1. GPS Log gets your location from your device in seconds.
2. You add photos, text, and tags (if you like).
3. Later, browse the list of saved log entries or search by text and tags.
4. Easily view logged locations on a map and get directions to return.
5. Connect with your friends by sharing single records (what we call spikes), trip maps and lifetime travel maps using our own website Geospike, and on social media.

GPS Log works with no data connection, great when you're far from civilization, or roaming. GPS Log preserves your battery life. Unlike some tracking tools, with GPS Log you power it up when you want to log a location - then you power it down immediately. Saving your precious battery.

NOTE: GPS Log works best on devices with actual GPS receivers such as the iPhone, and iPads with Cellular Data. Locations obtained on other devices may be less accurate.

I really like this app. I would recommend it and its great value for money !! I haven't worked out how number the spikes yet which would make it easier to export the spikes you want but it's easy to use, works really reliably and works in areas of patchy service . I like it ! A tip for esri users unlock the zip file to enable multiple photo display at one point! Thanks for a quality product

Great app

I just had my first business trip to Guangzhou, china and this app has made it so easy to log all of the location I will have to come back to in the future.......ace

GPS Log App

Good app. Easy to use. Getting a fix with the gps only works sometimes. When it fails have to enter gps data manually. But overall a very good app

Quality, polished app!

I use this app all the time as a travel log and to log local restaurants etc. It's very flexible and full-featured compared with other similar apps.

Good and hoping for some improvements

Delivers as promised, but after reading the forums I agree it will be Great once it does the following:
1 Adapt to iPad format
2 Allow folders/categories to store locations by trip.
3 Allow descriptions/ titles for photo uploads.
I like it as is, will love it with upgrades.

Hard to use

This app is def not worth the price, its very hard to use and also to get the info off of it. It is possible to get the places but it doesnt sync at all with your computer you either go through the website or you have to email yourself clunky files that you then have to sort through. and then also get the images off your iphone separately.
Though honestly its not any worse than the other phototaggers but it really could be alot easier if it had like a application on your computer it could post too or atleast have editable section on the website. Also it REALLY needs different sections for the photo tags, I do several things like post photos for locations I'd like to paint at, and when I go to a mates place that I havent been before It's annoying to have to search through tags everytime!
