Audiomemos pro

I have many recording apps on my phone... and I keep coming back to this trusty reliable application. I love the fact that in settings... you can turn filtering off. Thus getting rid of the stupid iOS reprocessing of audio that makes every iOS device sound cheep and nasty.
It also handles recordings when I am using an external audio input device or stereo mike.

Used to be good

The app produced great recordings but the recent update changed all that. Recordings now are distorted and low quality.

I have been using this app extensively for extended interviews. The quality of the replay was very good, even on the minimal settings. Sometimes it picks up ambient noise over voices and I assume an external mike would be of great help but I have not yet purchased one. I found the most frustrating thing was getting the files off the ipad to send. Because they were lengthy interviews it was not just a simple case of pressing the send button. After going online to seek help, I found the settings could be changed to allow for auto compress. This meant that I could enjoy the easy send function on most of the memos I had created. It still meant using dropbox for the larger files. Even downloading onto drop box took an inordinate amount of time. All other aspects of the app are very user friendly even for a luddite like me! I wonder if this app can be teamed with a dragon type app which transcribes as well as records? That along with the great editing options already included would make this a terrifically useful study tool.

Audio Memo

I have used this app a few times now and so far it hw proved most effective. I use it to record music and my singing lessons and it has helped me enormously. A great app. Thanks

Excellent app

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because of an edit (or piece of trickery) regarding the recording of phone calls.
Notwithstanding what the app says, it IS possible - or it was. it worked for me when I first installed the app by having the call on speakerphone. I specifically tested for this, because occasionally I need it.
Subsequently, it mysteriously disappeared and the app started saying it was "not possible".
Is this dishonesty or fiat by apple?
Other than that, great app.

Very functional

The app is relatively easy to use considering the level of settings and features that one must sort thru to get the most out of it. And with the settings and features one gets a greater level of use from this app over some other recording apps available. Of course for the price I do expect a little bit more in future improvement and feature additions than I would expect from one of the ninety nine cent apps.
