Since the app update a few days ago the lists of previous items bought can only be arranged alphabetically. The previous version was much better

ShoppingList is the first and one of the most used shopping list apps for the iPhone.

Love it Love it Love it
This app is simple to use & that's exactly what you need in a shopping list. You can categorise your list into…say… butcher, supermarket or whatever groups you like. You can also add notes, quantities etc. I have been using this app for many years now & would be lost without it. It's a shame there isn't an ipad version with icloud syncing though.

Great app
Being on my phone I never leave home without my shopping app. So easy and user friendly. Easy to use and amend if necessary. Love it. What would be great if the developer could add a grocery cupboard inventory. That would make it 110% better

Awesome App you did fiddle with it and it was awful and hard to use but you fixed that and it is back to simple to use and worth every cent. Well done guys back to my favourite App

Very Useful
I've been using this shopping list app for quite a long time - through several updates. Whilst I generally find it fabulous for all my basic shopping lists, there do seem to be two issues with 3.6.2 when trying to use the barcode scanner to enter items. 1) when you first scan a product you receive a message stating "the resource could not be loaded....requires secure connection...blah blah blah". It will remember the barcode but you have to enter the details in manually.
2) When adding a photo to an item, after you take the photo and accept to use it, the screw goes blank. So far I've had to close the app down and then restart it - which is a pain in the rear, especially when I'm wanting to add quite a few items at a time in.
That being said, if you don't need the use of the barcode scanner and/or photos it IS an excellent app, especially if you need to make several different shopping lists.

New version
This new version is just ridiculous. How many times do you have to click to get a product onto your shopping list? You have totally spoilt a great and useful app with this 'upgrade'. Downgrade is a better description. Guess I will be looking for a new shopping list app. In the meantime I need to hunt for a pen & some paper. Very unhappy👎. And to add insult to injury I have to give this heap of ....a rating star to post my review.

Shopper - absolutely love this app. Have used it for years - love that I can print out my shopping.
This update for this shopping list app had totally ruined a terrific working app.
I have used this app often during the week - since the latest two updates it is useless. You cannot put an item in twice - the layout is now a total mess.
To set this app up takes hours and all my work had been lost.
Take the app back before the last two updates so it can be used.
PLEASE Help me - this app is useless now.
What happened to the nice coloured backgrounds.
I can't add an item twice in the shopping list - at times I need to do this.
The screen is a mess with large and small writing all over the top of each other.
I am using an iPhone 6 and it seems the screen does not seem wide enough.

Updated app
I used to like this app and have used it for years. The latest update ruins it. One bug I've noticed is when you type in the item you want, then double click it to add, the start of the word remains at the top & you have to x to delete it. Just a small thing but highly annoying when you have lots of items to add :( Please fix asap or I'm looking at changing apps

Old one was so much better!
How annoying is it when you find the perfect app for what you want. Almost a year later an update comes along which totally ruins it and you can't change it back 😩. Please revert back to the old one!!!!!!!!!! I hate this one!!!!!! Old app 5 star. New one 2.5 🙁

Gone to the dogs
It happens so often - a flash new version turns a silk purse into a sow's ear. The app is buggy and now incorporates pop up ads. Forget it - there are better options out there.

New version is horrible
Hate the new version. It's unstable and crashes when trying to add new items. No longer intuitive.
Have been using this app for few years now will now be looking for a new app.

Latest Update Bugged
I have been using ShoppingList for over two years now to organise my grocery needs. I find it an invaluable App and use it constantly to keep track of what I need and what to buy before I hit the supermarket. However latest version is bugged at add list add item - alter item name, Done, return to list. Try to add more items and DB of items is inaccessible. I love this app please fix it. Not mad about latest view in select items, otherwise when working, fantastic app.

Shopping List
How disappointing! I've had this app for a long time and been very happy with it. Why was it changed, it's lost it's depth, it looks very amateurish now. I will be looking for a replacement. Can you please change it back.

Totally agree with last review
It was working great until the January update - now I can't add new items - the app closes down when I do. Please fix!

The best list program
Have been using this app since first came out . The only app that I NEED. I use it for all of my lists. Love how you cross the items off and delete completed item. It is so so good . I never write reviews but this is so worth it

Excellent app, but could use an update!
A fantastic, simple, does-what-you-need app. I’ve been using it for a few years now, have tried a few others, but always come back to this app. The simple customisation options making shopping organised and easy.
Pro’s: Dropbox Sync between devices (and household shoppers with a shared Dropbox folder); the ability to separate products into different databases and customise each independently: for example, you can create a supermarket list with products categorised by store section or aisle, a separate hardware store list, a list for a shopping centre or markets with products categorised by store, and best of all, via a preference setting, the products can remain separate to each list.
My one wish list item: have the iPad version rotate when in landscape.
Con’s: The product hasn’t had any development since late 2013 and I’ve had some problems with the app freezing since the iOS 9 upgrade. However, I haven’t been able to identify a consistent cause for this.
It’s definitely worth giving this version a try, and I really hope ShoppingList hasn’t simply become abandonware.

Shopping app
I just love it. No more scraps of paper or forgotten to take my list with me. My phone is alway in my bag and whenever I think of a grocery item I write it in. I also use it for holiday items when packing

One of the easiest and effective apps...not too complicated and quick.
I'm just a simple male that uses it for groceries and buying presents, hardware - etc
I actually use it all the time - I fully recommend it!

This app has a major flaw
The author refuses to modify the app so it can be used anywhere in the world not just a country using the $ sign.
His comment to me was to change my Emglish only OS to the local language which I neither read, write or speak.
Shame as everything else about the app is great.

Very easy to use, easy to sort things into categories - mine reflect where things are laid out in my local supermarket so there's no more backtracking for items! No complaints at all.

My most used app
Much easier than handwriting lists and you won't lose it (unless you leave the phone at home). I use it every day. I'm sure people think I'm texting in the supermarket. Little do they know! I love designating items to particular aisles that way I only have to go up each aisle ONCE. Love it!
