Captions
Captions are great but hard to work with. Provide options like social media captions or make it easier to work with. I find its too restricting. Also change the apps icon its hideous :)

Keeps freezing and crashing on M5 IPad Pro.
Cant even do any editing, because it non stop keeps freezing up just from scrolling.

why do i need to pay if i had the old one?
I was asked by the old version to get the new version and now i’m being asked by this new version to pay for a subscription when I already owned the previous version. Now i’ve deleted the old version and have lost EVERYTHING all my libraries are gone. Very disappointed and extremely upset. This also happened for Logic Pro.

missing features
This app is missing basic features found in other video editing apps like Lumafusion and Davince
1. No Auto Ducking - horrible for narration
2. Cannot break and edit the audio track - adding to the frustrations above
3. Edited effect/colour, sound, etc. can not copied and pasted to all the clips
3. only thing going for it is the drawing feature. Otherwise, Lumafusion is cheaper and better

Magnetic mask missing
At last Final Cut Pro for iPad is getting better adding more features like auto colour adjustments using A.I. Apple needs to add more features that the desktop version has and adding it to the iPad version. Please add magnetic mask on your list and more advance colour correction tools.

Final Cut Pro For IPad
Absolutely love this App, I have been putting my songs as always into GarageBand then Into Logic Pro to sweeten the mix and songs and then into Final Cut Pro For IPad, have Desktop version also, ( old timer here 64 ) and I have been gigging semi professional for years and years in Bands, Duos and especially Solo and truly these Apps in my opinion are brilliant and can be written off against one’s Tax however you choose to do….I highly recommend any musician wanting and looking for diversity and love ❤️ and joy with our music, kind regards, Mark Robertson, Safety Beach 🏖️, Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺

Free trial, what free trial?
I downloaded the free trial and then when it got to seeing how they product works in a tutorial it wouldn’t let me watch it because I didn’t buy the whole program so I can’t even find out how to use the thing in order to try it for free. so I won’t be buying the whole thing just to find out how to use it really annoyed about that.

I’m gonna get a new video editor at this point.
How am I supposed to animate media when the keyframes are confusing. Also, there’s a bug that when you add a green screen keyer, it breaks for some reason.

LOST ALL MY WORK
Currently as of 30 minutes ago I was 3/4 of the way through creating my first proper YouTube video, maybe 2-3 days worth of work. I selected a music piece from Final Cut pros sound track selection called ‘basically famous’ or something like that as soon as I added it to my clip the app crashed completely so I closed the app as it’s auto saved every other time and upon on reboot boom the whole lot had gone.
What a waste of time. I’d have been even more annoyed if I was not using the free trial but after this I can say I won’t be continuing the subscription like planned.

Paid for Final Cut Pro on my Mac, have to pay again on iPad
I paid for Final Cut Pro with my M2 Max purchase, and I bought iPad Pro to aid me edits if I am on the move, but now I find out that these are two seperate subscriptions and I have to pay for it again. Really weird for apple to do so

Good, but there’s lots of mistakes
I think iMovie is way better and it cost nothing because you can’t VoiceOver you can’t add on FaceTime it’s impossible. It’s very bad on iPad and it saying like iMovie you can’t add in video effects. That’s what I bought this up for two stars

Forced against will into subscription model again
It seems as though there are no outright options for people who don’t want to go on a subscription model. Disappointing that after spending over $5,000 on Apple devices in last 12 months they want even more money for services which could be one-off purchases.

Love it, but I want outright payment option.
It’s about time isn’t it? Final Cut Pro was like a unicorn for such a long time. Well, here it is - but the kicker is, you HAVE to subscribe. NOTE: This is Apple’s first subscription app, and likely not the last. Unless we speak up? 1 star from me until they make an outright payment option. Name your price Apple! Don’t follow the crowd, what would Steve say?

FCP crashes after trying to subscribe
I have the latest iPad Pro. When trying to subscribe to FCP after opening it, message says Loading, then you get the wheel of death which disappears after a while and nothing happens.
Tried installing latest iPadOS 16.5, restarted the device and reinstalled FCP but to no avail.
Very unfortunate as I have to edit an urgent project beyond iMovie’s capabilities and my computer is out for repair. I’ve extensive experience with FCP and now I have to learn to use Da Vinci in a hurry. Not good, Apple.

Finally, it’s here, missing a few things.
- Plugins, with Vendors ensuring their plugins work on mac using Apple Silicon Architecture, why are they not available on the iPad ?
- Lack of Titles, Backgrounds etc that exist on the Mac not available on the iPad
- Colour Grading, fine to get started on the iPad. Will need to move to the Mac for fine grained control
- Trying to establish a workflow for moving from Mac to iPad and back for Final Cut Projects, hopefully this improves soon.
- Works quite well on M1 iPad Pro… Early days yet though.
Still, very very happy to have this working on the iPad for on the go work.
