Constant technical issues
I have tried so many times with different ids and on phones, iPads and laptops - says it’s done but then ‘has technical issues’ and never works. This is a constant no matter how long I wait between trying to redo it. Just over it at this stage waste of time, unfortunate as it now effects my job prospects even though it is completely out of my control.

Digital ID verification doesn’t work
I tried to verify my Digital ID but for some reason everytime i try to take the first photo of my passport if fails, after the third attempt the app freezes and i have to close it. Also when i hold my phone in landscape how its shown in the animation, the camera feed is turned 90 degrees which makes it difficult to position the information correctly in the field. In the Ipad I have the same problems but at least it lets me take a normal photo after the 3 failed attempts. With the videoselfie after it is a similar problem. It wants me to come closer and closer while showing this bar but when im really close and the bar is nearly at the end it just starts glitching back and forth and then tell me to go further away again and ultimately fails.

Flawed verification process
A disappointing amount of certifications, documentation, qualifications, and work history verifications do not work.
This not only hinders job search due to the lack of verification, meaning some things do not get shown to employers.
The "support" is also incredibly useless - i am sure they are automated responses or Ai, as the replies are useless, unhelpful and often unrelated.
Indeed and LinkedIn are more reliable and yield better results, this app has many flaws outside of what I have listed.

I like Seek however I have applied for many local jobs for the last 2 months and have not been successful as there are many other applications from other keen workers. I currently am still employed however I would like to work local rather than travel three hours a day to and from work. I just wish I could work closer to home.

Too much personal information
After handing over too much data doesn’t do anything for you doesn’t add anything anywhere just sits there and does nothing and then I get an email that says and I quote “Stand out on SEEK even further by adding your COVID-19 Vaccination”. Crossing the line now into health information.

The SEEK Pass just seems to be another extra credentialling process that increases the paperwork that is needed to be done by the applicants or and won’t reduce the paperwork companies. This is just an extra step and it is really annoying that seek created this.

I do not recommend.
The app made me uncomfortable initially, but as I trust seek, I decided to try it out.
I was uploading my documents, and encountered an issue with my birth certificate. I approved it for review, and had it declined again. As I know it is the original document, I responded querying what Certsy might be finding confusing about the document. The response was that it is reviewed externally, and they are not told why it is declined. I’m waiting to find out where exactly my birth certificate went to.
Not impressed. I will be attempting to remove all my data. I’ve never had an issue when providing my right to work details directly to an employer. I will stick with that method, as not only does this not feel safe, but it’s way too much effort for what will inevitably be double handling anyway.

Review
Certsy is an excellent way of proving credentials without carrying around a briefcase.
However, one hiccup I have come across, is Police checks, especially when required by state govt's.
For Security Licence in Qld, you need police check with fingerprint check.
This is required by dept. Fair Trade and they hold the documents.
As with Blue Card working with children. The same applies, Police check, fingerprint, bankruptcy, and not sure but also DNA.
The point I am making is that police checks have been completed and you would have to pass to obtain credentials. These checks are completed by QPS, and in the case of Blue card, working with children they may check with Federal police, and QPS.
This is the only issue I have, and Certsy can have this changed/ up to date by following up with government depts.
All the other educational certs. are followed up on.
I believe this is a great way for employers to find employees, and if prospective employees have a resume and a cover letter, everything can be done straight away.
Seek, and any other employment platform using Certsy is the way to go in saving time and money.

Really nice app!
As the title states it’s a really nice app, the layout is simple to use, uploading documentation and having it verified is not difficult at all.
I don’t have any complaints about the app, but I wish more high-risk work licences and single module qualifications such as ;working at heights and working in confined spaces, could be made able to upload to verify. I’ve also tried to have my QCE verified too without much luck, perhaps being able to verify senior education documents would be advantageous?
Otherwise I love the idea behind Certsy and I look forward to using it again in the near future.
