Purchased a pair of slippers for MIL while visiting interstate, auto checkout accidentally scanned twice. We contacted BIGW with the receipt who said we’d need to return to the store to sort it out, and after telling them we live 3.5 hours away they suggested getting someone else to visit the store. It’s crazy they can’t sort it out online!

Unfortunately code is sent to email when using the app. If you don’t access your emails on your phone, you can’t use the app to checkout.Developer responded with contact info to get support from Big W. this was a further fail as I had to access a code through my email to use this contact info. Buggy Login Process
Why is that I have to log in to the app daily. It does not stay logged in. Before you say remove update and download I have done that. Using latest iOS software update as well. Never had this auto log out of app issue when I was on an android. I am sick of having to sign in and authenticate every day on iPhone. Simple test for you. Do any of your staff own an iPhone?? and tested the log in to app on their phone and check it a day or two later realise they have to log in again.

I like to browse on the app as I don’t get to town often but when you have to scroll way ahead to get it to load, it’s frustrating and I give up. I hope with every update this will change and it never does. I’m about to give up on it and just shop elsewhere.

Went to checkout and use Apple Pay app crashed when I tried to do this, order was unable to be fulfilled tried this 3 more times no luck. Then see that the payment has come of my card 3 times without the order being fulfilled.
Then ordered it through the web browser no worries, deleted app. Then in order to get in contact with support I must download the app apparently, so I do this again where it leaves me unable to login….

Faulty item no resolution no response
Purchasing an inflatable Travel pillow from big W online market it arrived in the mail went flat within 20 minutes. Clearly faulty. Sent a message to the seller. No response sent two more messages. No response. Big W online customer service followed up with seller on two occasions still no response almost 2 weeks now no resolution. Will not be using big W online market ever again.

A deeply dishonest and unprofessional app
This very dishonest app is best avoided. I ordered two products from the Big W Marketplace through the app. One was delivered late, and the other has never been delivered. I’ve tried to get a resolution through Big W customer support, including requesting a refund, but this support is exceptionally poor. First, Big W support defers all requests for support to Big W Marketplace support, which is an unprofessional responsibility avoidance approach. Then, Big W Marketplace support takes days to respond or never responds at all. Never again will I shop at Big W , either through this app or in-store.

I tried to contact Renmark’s Big W this morning and was directed to the app. I tried to open the app but was told to update it. I pressed relevant buttons but was told I would have to use my mobile data to do so. Why? And why couldn’t I make a product inquiry on the phone? Can’t get past adding my location. VPN is off. Won’t use current location. Won’t recognise my suburb (where i physically visit the store). No option to skip. Refusal to return item on medical conditions
Unbelievably disappointed with Big W Marketplace and the corporate Big W brand. Refusal to process a return even though the product is not fit for purpose based on medical grounds for my son due to their terms and conditions that state any item that is reduced in price is INELIGIBLE FOR RETURN!! Buyer beware do NOT purchase anything that is on sale through their marketplace as it will be ineligible for return regardless of the conditions. I would advise you pay more for the ability to return goods as per your rights under the ACCC rather than save money purchasing something that cannot be returned.

Sick of ordering from a store up the road that is my preferred store and my order being placed in another state and I get no notification of this happening when I place the order or after I only find out from my tracking information!!! I would cancel the order and buy locally rather then wait 2 weeks for the delivery!!

Worst app I have ever experienced
This app, and the website for Big W are literally useless and impossible to use.
It is an endless loop of the ‘Welcome to Big W’ page that cannot be closed or bypassed, and even when entering the details it will pop up again almost immediately.
If you ever happen to get to the actual app/website it is impossible to use as the search function only ever results in ‘oops nothing matches your search’. Literally the most infuriating online ‘shopping’ experience.

I downloaded the Big W app so I could track an item I recently ordered (as was suggested after I completed my purchase).
The tracking is extremely basic, and doesn’t include any updates that are very useful.
So far I can only see that my order has been sent to the item vender - as it was a market place item - and that’s all that’s happened in five days.
It’s definitely not detailed tracking for my purchase, and all the tracking of my info doesn’t seem like a very good trade off.
Will be removing.

Error logging in
I was unable to use the app as it needed updating. I’ve updated and now it’s a cycle of “error while signing in” - so now I’m unable to use the app to place my orders with my account and get my rewards points or use my points.
It’s stupid that it can’t log in on the app itself, that it’s trying to access a website browser to log in and then switch back the app. That seems to be where the error is.

Disappointed order
I purchased using click and collect last week. No communication from Big W but one item was not available. We were told it was on a pallet at height in the back of the store. So no we don’t have it. If I had known this we could have gone to another Big W store. Not treated fairly because this was for a grandchild’s birthday. Let down immensely. We both have cancer and other health conditions. Thought this was going to help us in this instance- we were wrong. This is on top of the number of times we have been unable to use our 10% off- the one we pay for with everyday extra. Staff simply say they can’t get it to work. Our card was not the problem- we were repeatedly told that it is in the Big W side. I can understand this 1 or twice but not repeatedly.

The App wont work
I have tried multiple times to download and install the app. But cant seem to get past the first step where you enter your postcode to set store and location. No matter what suburb or postcode I enter it keeps telling me there is no store in that location even though I know there are multiple Big W locations near me. This is an ongoing problem and needs to be fixed.

Big W’s Consistency
I think we often go to particular shops for specific products. For me, Big W is my go-to shop for stationery, IT, photo printing and yarn. Yarn is easily available there when I don’t want to go out of my way to a specialty store. It’s better quality than the “cheap shops”, for sure and I have bought some great knitting or crochet projects at reasonable prices.
I also find that often the bulk household items are really great value, mainly if I buy am looking for regular products, such as washing detergent or softener. And chocolates…we can’t forget them. Great prices for gifts or just myself!

Products in shopping cart keep disappearing
This app is easy to use for browsing and finding products. However, sometimes it will clear all products in the shopping carts all of a sudden. Imagine how frustrating it is when you spend 20min adding multiple staff in your cart but then find out everything’s gone when you are about to pay. This happened 3 times tonight and I gave up placing an order at the end

Intrusive Data Collection
I have a Big W account, but I'm unable to sign into this app without providing and verifying substantial personal information. Woolworths will utilise this for extensive marketing and monetisation purposes. Regrettably, it appears there's no option to keep my account sign-up information private and distinct from Woolworths' increasingly pervasive store surveillance and monitoring systems. There needs to be more control over how our personal information is used and secured.

I could t log into the app so I deleted it then re downloaded it and it’s asking to find my location and that’s all good then it couldn’t find my closest store and as I tried entering my postcode and it still can’t find my location so I can’t even get into the app now.
Tried to click onto app support and it takes me to the app and same issue. 🤬

Big W doesn’t know its own store locations
I downloaded the app and began answering the prompts. I got to the second prompt asking me to identify my local store. I used the current location option and when that failed entered my postcode. Unfortunately the result was that there was no search result! What?
Naturally you cannot move beyond this step and the app freezes requiring deletion.
These kind of apps are optional, not essential. Developers need to be aware that consumers will quickly abandon their product if this kind of basic provision of information isn’t seamless.

Constant issues
I generally find this app quite user friendly, easy to find items and purchase, however there are constantly glitches and errors which is beyond frustrating. Items get cleared from my cart, today there are errors where they can’t be added to the cart, Wishlist comes and goes and I’m continually being asked to log in on the same device, which when I do (again) often clears my cart.

Can’t use Woolworths Everyday Rewards
I signed up for this app because I got a points booster for 1000 everyday rewards points (500 Qantas points) but when I try to add my everyday rewards card number I can’t. I tried to make me sign in to my everyday rewards account (why is this necessary?! More data tracking? Why can’t users simply provide their card number???).
So I have wasted an hour on this app. Provides no benefits over using the website and also tries to track your activity on other websites.

Cannot even get past location page which blocks products
Beyond frustrated. I have been trying to access the big w website for weeks without success (will not load products, pages, search results - sometimes no website at all), so I rented and downloaded the app. I cannot even get past the location page. The app will not recognise my location, postcode, nothing at all. Because it will not load a mandatory location I cannot access the products.

Cannot find my suburb - South Australian locations need to be reviewed
I have tried putting in my suburb on numerous occasions on the app only to be informed that it was not able to be found, which was odd because I never had that issue with any other store such as Target or KMart. I even put in Adelaide and it still couldn’t find any stores.
Very strange indeed and if this app is only available for people residing in the Eastern States such as NSW or Victoria, then that needs to be stipulated more clearly.
Really annoyed that it is not working at all and hope they can update to include other states and not focus solely on the Eastern states all the time. We get that you get all the music tours and big name stores going exclusively to your states but you can’t get everything else as well.

I ordered one thing from big w with standard shipping and unlike every other shop that does online shopping, big w doesn’t give you an estimated time of delivery, it doesn’t even estimate the day it will be coming, i ordered it 4 business days ago and even though on the app it tells me it’s on its way (still doesn’t give estimated time of arrival) when i press track shipping it still says it’s being packed in the warehouse ? do better big w, update your shipping courier to one that actually does their job properly instead of making people sit around all day scared to go out in case their delivery randomly comes and then gets sent back due to nobody being there to pick it up

Pretty useless app
The app appears really easy to use, but… It took me weeks to be able to login to the app as it wouldn’t send the verification email. Finally got it done through the website but even that was troublesome. Both before and after verification it can’t find products “something went wrong“ even when just browsing through the category menus. Big W isn’t my first choice but it’s the closest if I need something quickly so I’ll delete it but just want to save others the hassle of constant frustration 😡

Good app but problems with paying by card
The app itself is so easy to use and find what I’m looking for however the last few times I have tried to pay with my bank card the app plays up and try’s to take the money and then the app comes up with a message about my payment not going through. I have deleted the app and reinstalled however it hasn’t changed the outcome. The website works well though.

Am I the only one who has this issue? This app has the “back” button on the bottom of the screen but as most apps have “back” at the top I constantly hit this which takes me back to the home page so I need to start my search all over again 😔
I’m using an iPad if this makes a difference? I just want to go back one step not back to the start!

I am looking for Queen size sheets. No matter how differently I type in Queen size sheets into the search bar, it draws a blank. I know Big W stock Queen size sheets. If it had lower than 1 star rating I would give it.

Easy way to shop
I find checking out the BigW App for anything I want to buy the quickest and easiest way to shop. The prices are great and the delivery service is quick too!

Good app!
I’m liking the new app. I seem to be able to see things I have searched for that sometimes do not show on the browser. It also seems to be less glitchy than the website on the browser. Good job BigW!

So easy to shop with this app! Easy to see the availability of products. Has the ability to create wishlists but also saves my cart for later! Love how fast the checkout is. Thank you, Big W.

App has Bugs
This is my first time trying to order with BigW as I love my Everyday Rewards but the app would not allow me to place my Everyday Extra Coupon and would say points collected on purchase is zero. It’s pretty hard to maximise value with rewards and coupons especially when paying a yearly subscription. Thank you so much for taking the time 🙂

Good app.
Just purchased a new tv through the Big W app and it was super easy. Everything was where I wanted it to be and it even found my store without me having to drudge through like so many other e-commerce apps. It is also very fast and responsive so whatever you lot at Big W are doing - keep it up!
