Worst app ever
This app has had the same problems for over 3 years and still nothing has been fixed. I wasn’t going to read anymore reviews past 3yrs cause it’s just a joke how long it’s been going on for. Scam company that just wants more and more money from people because they’re greedy scam artists. Especially when they won’t refund you or provide credit for your account after they take your payment but never upload it to the card. One day someone is gonna seek legal advice because of all the consumer protection rights being violated and laws being broken, with promises of credit then not issuing it for multiple days but not stipulating it in the terms and conditions etc. cause when it happens timezone won’t have enough money for the payouts and fines and go bust

Frustrating Login Experience on Timezone App
This app is useless. Every time I try to log into my account, I’m forced through multiple cache-clearing steps or redirects that never resolve the issue. It’s incredibly frustrating and makes the app practically unusable. I expect a smoother, more reliable login experience—especially from a brand like Timezone. Please fix this.

The App is Unusable
I’ve been having issues for months, and nothing is working — it’s getting frustrating because I keep getting messages for promotions and yet I can’t access the app.
Apparently other users haven’t been able to login, and this issue was apparently fixed — but it wasn’t.
This is genuinely one of the worst apps I’ve ever used.
Fix this app or I won’t be coming back to Timezone anymore.

I'm 38. I've gone to time zone for at least 34 years. I have spent thousands of dollars. And I still go back the customer service at Innaloo led by a gentleman by the name of Joe -Massimo , is not only welcoming he's considerate and worth his weight in gold!! Multiple Login Failures
Almost each time I go to open the app, it has logged me out and I have to sign in again. The problem is with the reCaptcha and proving “I’m not a robot” as it has nearly always denied me access saying “Oops! Incorrect submission. Please try again” even though I tried my hardest to get ALL the questions right.
I will sometimes have to keep attempting to login using both email and phone until I’m locked out, and then have to wait a full day before I can try again.
While the app is useful, it is a complete and utter pain to get into.

I have been using the app for a couple hours. Personally, I think it’s ok. I don’t see anything there that can’t just be utilised by the card itself, but I can see the connivence to check balances and tickets. I think to enhance the app even more there should be a way to maybe win 10 tickets by answering a question, or winning a game like deal or no deal. This is also a reason why I downloaded the app as it was a concept image. I think it’s just currently a bit plain. I understand that this app isn’t meant to be like a game, but it is called the Timezone Fun App. It’s not really fun at the moment. I understand that my comment isn’t going to change your game, but I hope that someone is reviewing these reviews and has taken in mind my opinion.

I have been using the app for a while and redeemed a tier voucher. However now the vouchers are completely broken.
For the past month I have been completely unable to access of redeem my vouchers. I am supposed to have $75 worth of tier vouchers that won’t show up. Forgets saved info
This app regularly forgets saved card details, the app resets and you have to log in again and times where it remembers the cards it can forget the assigned names on the cards which isn’t fun if you’re managing multiple cards for your family. You also need to remember if you originally signed up with your email or mobile number because when the app resets and you’re forced to sign in again you need to remember which method your originally used otherwise you fill in your contact information again but it’s actually creating a new account without warning even though they have both email and mobile details on file. It was a problem when we were on holidays and forgot our cards and not realising the reason they were showing up in the app was because I used my mobile number instead of my email.

The login screen is really annoying - the email field makes it very difficult to type in an email address because it capitalises words. And if you use a mobile number by accident when it’s not associated with your account there is no way to cancel out of the sign up amd you need to delete and reinstall the app.

TIMEZONE App
The app is a really convenient way to add credit to your Timezone card. Also it is a really way to check your balance, tickets and rewards points. I also like the new tap and play feature where you can add a digital version of your Timezone card to your wallet app as well.

Unhelpful
You still have to buy a physical top up card from the kiosk in the arcade to play any games. The card kiosk gives you the option to top up with any arbitrary amount, but the app has a $35 minimum. That’s much more than I needed for a couple of games of air hockey, which is all I downloaded the app for. Frankly, I feel cheated of the time I spent downloading and setting up an account. Save yourself the time and skip the app.

Be weary of the ‘sign up bonus’ advertised to download the app. You have to jump through hoops to get it. We will most likely lapse the time period before it is resolved. A bug in the application for simple profile setup. Cannot enter in certain fields that are mandatory. Even if you do manage to set a profile up, in order to access it, I have to delete & reinstall for every use. Staff at venues cannot assist. Online customer service provide useless information or do not fully answer questions asked. For basic practical use - it is the most useless & sub par I’ve seen for a long time.

Good app but poor execution
The whole ordeal with the cards is super flawed.
We got the app, signed up and couldn’t use the $10 gift straight away because it had to come through within 24 hours. Mine showed up but my partners never arrived.
Also why can you not just implement the Timezone card to use the NFC chip in the phone, so I don’t need a physical card and so I don’t have to get new cards all the time when I arrive.
Allowing me to track balance of cards is cool, but I still have to have a physical card.
The readers already activate my NFC chip on my phone, why not use that.
Consider it a feature request please.

Not working for me
No matter I tried to use phone or email to register, it always says “please wait while we are processing your info” even after I received the codes from my emails and phone. $200 credit just vanished from my platinum membership card and nobody can tell me what happened. It’s been over two weeks called head office numerous times not once have they called me back, sent screen shot of receipt and bank statement as requested and still nothing.. 2 days later my account on the fun app has also gone walk about.

Scam app. Beware.
This is a very big scam app beware.
I have over $600 in credit in this app and it crashed and disconnected my Gold Card from my account, and now they cannot refund me, They cannot reconnect my card, They cannot do anything because they are a scam company.
If I speak to the people at the timezone they can’t do anything and tell me to call up the number in the app and when I call up they tell me they can’t do anything because they haven’t got any managers there.
It’s a complete scam.
Plus a majority the time do you tap your card which is connected to this app it never works.
You should save your money like I should have done and simply invested in upgrading my VR.
Timezone app should be re-labelled as ScamCentral.

1 step forward, 2 steps back
This was a good app up until a month or so ago. Not sure if the reload via the app is working now or if the issues other users report are still there as I haven’t used it recently.
The transactions page no longer shows individual transactions from each game. It now only shows one transaction for each visit rather than one for each game played. It also doesn’t show the correct total spent for the day or the tickets won.
This function was working fine a month ago. Not sure why the app development is going backwards when it was working fine/better previously. I hope it the app is fixed as it was quite a good app.

Shocking app
Terrible.
Everytime I manage to sign in, the next time it logs you out, then won’t let you log back in saying “we can’t find your account”.
Tried signing in with phone number instead and it said “bad phone reputation, blocking”. When it’s a private mobile number I don’t have any “reputation” so not sure what it’s talking about.
I’ve managed to get this app working twice in 2 years.

Only use this app if you really have to, the app works…? but little things like needing to restart the app to see my cards balance or the fact the mobile number prompt for your account is broken, and after slamming your finger forty eight times on the box it just decides to work? little things like that leave a slightly bitter aftertaste. Please get whoever worked on the website to fix the app and give them a little pay rise for their troubles.

App shows inaccurate credit and ticket amounts
To be fair, the app has a visually appealing design and has useful features like deals and vouchers.
My problem with the app is how it keeps track of your tickets and credit on your game card(s). I visited TimeZone today, played some games and decided to save up my tickets. On my way out I checked my card balance, it said I had around 1800 tickets.
When I got home, I checked my TimeZone app and it said I only had 700 tickets. Weirdly it also said I had $76 on my card (I don’t remember how much was on my card but it was definitely less than $76)
I checked the online TimeZone portal and all my tickets were there. (I’m not 100% certain about the money it showed being accurate because I’m not sure what is was before).
Either way, this app shows inaccurate ticket and balance amounts. Considering this app is supposed to help customers keep track of their spending, this fault is quite frustrating and definitely not ideal.
I understand it’s probably just a simple glitch but customers shouldn’t have to worry about losing their credit or tickets.

DO NOT RELOAD USING APP
I have had multiple cards usually add them to the app to keep track of how much credit and points they kids have. I decided instead of waiting in line whilst at a timezone centre, I would skip the cue and reload the card via the app but in doing so it reloaded an old card I no longer have. I immediately immediately called the online contact number and spoke with someone from timezone via the contact number and they advised they would send through the request but couldn’t give me a rough estimate on when it would be processed and that someone would give me a call back once the amount had been transferred. The person I spoke with seemed unsure so I decided to also email timezone and have been emailing back and forth with different people for roughly 3 weeks now to try and have the credit transferred to the intended powercard. They have been great at replying but as soon as the required screenshots of transactions had been sent through, they’ve slowed/stopped with the prompt replies. Very frustrating that it is taking this long to resolve this matter.

App was working perfectly fine till it asked me to update. I did so and it logged me out of the app and now I can’t log back in. My email and password are correct but continues to tell me ERROR no guest data found.

The app is frustrating. This system of payment for credit is not streamlined and despite immediate charges from my bank account, I have to wait for recharges to show on my TZ card. It also signs me out of my account and my power card details are lost. When I attempt to add the same card I get a pop-up that says it can't be done. Please fix this dreadful app!

Downloaded the app to create account using my phone number. Logged in and someone else’s personal details were in the account. Pretty suspect. Deleted app and contacted Timezone so they can let the person who’s account information I have in my account know.

Before getting the app me and this girl who worked at Timezone were having a chat. She said that once I get the app then I can throw away the card. Luckily I didn’t throw it away but what she said was a lie. I can’t even play anything without the card. Also the app is kind of dodge cuz it keeps kicking me out which is really annoying. So I mean get this app if you want, it’s not bad, just not necessary either. Honestly I barely use it at all.

The only reason I installed this app is so I could get the $10 sign up credit that was advertised in store and then I was informed that it would take 24 hours to be available. That was fine. I figured we could use it next time when we go for my daughter’s birthday. Well it’s been over a month and I still don’t have the credit. I called and the person on the phone barely spoke English and said he didn’t really know enough to help me. I asked to speak to someone else and all he could do was take my name and number and said they’d call within 2 days but they never did. Just had to call a second time and I was told I just have to wait for them to fix it. I don’t have a lot of hope it will be done before her birthday. I definitely won’t be using the app to add credit after reading the other reviews. I will be deleting it after we get the credit.

Needs work asap
This app needs work ASAP. why release the app when it isn't connected to Timezone in store systems? First of all, you can't take advantage of in app promos as it won't let you recharge ever. Just a blank white screen (yes I've logged out, tried reinstalling etc). Secondly, when u upgrade your card, the old card stays on the app in ur account so it totally messes everything up. I had to get management in timezone to refund and fix it back to my actual card. What a mess around. This app has too many issues. Please fix ASAP.

Great concept but very annoying.
Biggest issue… Can’t remove old cards then when up loading credit defaults to oldest card!!!! Multiple people have mentioned this in their reviews also!!!!!!
Have spent the last month ringing, doing online enquires, and back and forth emails to try and get the money transferred to the card and THE OLD CARD DELETED from the app as they took that away from me when going up a tier.
4 weeks on my new card has had the equivalent credit added but the old card still remains.
So if you are after a smooth transaction and confidence in being able to use your credit that day stand in the line in store.

defaults reload to the oldest card
The same review as another person. When reloading it takes a while to get in to the card. The app doesn’t have the option to remove old cards after i upgraded. Which then leads to an issue where whenever I press reload on the card that i want to reload. It still goes on another page where it defaults the reload to the oldest card which I don’t have. I emailed customer service and it took a month to get the old cards removed and I’m still waiting for my funds to be transferred to the active card. It’s taking forever. Terrible system and service.

Great, But Not What I Thought
Don’t get me wrong, I love Timezone and it’s app! It’s just that when I was installing this app on the App Store there were photos of the middle button being the ‘Play’ button. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that! Instead, I got the ‘Reload’ button. I thought I could play games. Overall, I absolutely love Timezone, but I’m just not sure why that with the Timezone Fun App it gave me something different than what it was meant to give me. That’s why I gave it a 4/5.

Takes hours to transfer money to card - don’t bother with it
Loaded $250 to card via app, can see the deduction from credit card via online banking, but the money isn’t showing up on Timezone card. Spoke to both front desk and customer care line and both said it can take a couple hours to go through and to just wait and check later. So am I supposed to just walk around with my kids for a couple of hours watching strangers play until my money loads ?!?! Useless app and ruined our trip to Timezone.

Cannot remove old/list cards
It’s very easy (the app defaults to oldest card) accidentally add funds to the wrong card. There is no way to remove, manage existing cards or set default card.
When tapping on “recharge” it picks the oldest card instead of the current one selected. If the wrong card is charged there is no phone support to sort it out nor anyway to transfer funds between cards.

Clunky app and can’t report issues
Can’t update email address keep getting grey wheel of death. Close app. Start again. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Nothing. Can’t report problems with app just get directed to a contact us page which forces you to choose a local time zone to contact not an option to report app problems. Also gives you a national contact number which I’m sure would be pointless. Other than offering you the ability to load money into a power card which isn’t actually hard in store I don’t know what the point of this app is.

Great management app
It’s great to finally be able to manage Powercards from my phone! It’d be even more useful if I could add Powercards to the Wallet app (like bank cards with Apple Pay) so I don’t have to bring my physical card every time.

Bug fix needed
There is only one bug that I have found that needs to be fixed and iv spoken to staff members about this and they have this happen to themselves, it’s to do with the “SET YOUR FAVOURITE STORE” every time I set it to the selected store and save my changers and back out it resets to a different store in a different state as well

Did not work took our money won’t refund
We payed for three times $50 - $150 all up and the app said was on card when we went in all three cards said $0.00 yet the app said they each had $50 on - we then had to pay extra $150 to get new cards and money still waiting on a answer from Timezone as they seem to be beating around the bush we are still down $150 oh the owner manager of Maroochydore was good for nothing

Finally awesome to see everything in one app!
I am looking forward to the games and play section of the app when that releases, but i love the fact that it tells you your reward progress!
It would be awesome to have a live chat function like the website.
Also - I cannot claim my $5 signup bonus I have followed everything in the terms and conditions.
Otherwise really cool interface and its easy to use !
