Description
Widgetsmith lets you personalize your home screen like never before.
It starts with a wide collection of highly customizable widgets, which range in function from date, to weather, to astronomy. Each can be adjusted precisely to best fit your desired function and appearance.
This set of widgets can then be dynamically scheduled to appear on your home screen following rules you define. For example, a particular widget could show the weather first thing in the morning, then your calendar during your work day, then switch to your Activity ring progress as you wrap up your day. This lets you take full advantage of each slot on your home screen.
The app itself also includes a wide collection of tools, such as a weather app, a timezone converter, a calendar. These tools can automatically launch based on the active widget tapped.
Notes:
• Widgetsmith optionally integrates with Apple Health. This data is used to display your step and activity if you select one of those widget types. Permission for Widgetsmith to access this data is controlled through the Apple Health app.
• Widgetsmith includes an optional premium subscription. This is offered on a monthly or annual basis. If you choose to purchase a subscription your payment will be charged to your iTunes account. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled within 24-hours before the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
• Access to Tide and Weather hosted data is only available to Widgetsmith Premium subscribers.

This update brings along four new widgets that let you display the current date/date along with your favorite picture. You'll find these in the app under the "Custom" area. You can choose the font and alignment for the text overlaid.
Also, it fixes a situation where you'd see a 'grey box' rather than your expected widget.

I don’t use it for much, just a small widget that scrolls through some pretty space photos and shows time. But it looks lovely and that’s all matters :)
This is awesome I can have some pictures of my kids on my screen! So cute!!!

the app is great and i had absolutely no problems when i first downloaded it, but i went to add a few more photo widgets today and none of them worked. I tried everything and updated the app, once i updated the app all except for one of my widgets stopped working and went grey.

i love this app it’s really good but i had the grey box problem with only one of my widgets so i decided to update because it said it would solve the problem but now all my widgets are grey and whatever i do they won’t go back to normal.

God it feels so good to add photos as widgets, I used to just hide every single app into one folder and just keep my background clean, but now this added the layer of depth I required, however I love the widgets but I wish there was an option to turn off the widget title underneath, so that it’d just be the photo, but over all amazing.

Just updated the app to the new version which was supposed to fix the grey boxes. But now half of my widgets are grey and half look the way I have designed them. This is really annoying!! Also, calendar and steps don’t update! It’s Thursday but my day widget said Wednesday and my calendar widget said Monday. Please fix!!!

Hi. I want to be able to make a custom widget for the weather but it costs money, please make it free. My other problem is that when I insert the widgets to the screen it changes to the default time one. Other then those this a good app.

When I first saw all the widget designs and aesthetics that were being made, I was SO excited to do it for myself on my iPad. Then I found out that I couldn’t move the widgets from the side bar and that it was only iPhones that had that feature. It was a huge let down after all the hype that had been built.

the idea of this app is great and i loved the new layout of my phone with the widgets until i recently updated the app - after the update all my widgets have a grey screen and i even restarted my phone but its still grey and none of the photos show up. please fix this bug!!

I enjoy the app so much. I would highly recommend it to families and friends.
I just wanted to make a suggestion for a better improvement for this app and the reason why is because I was going through the reviews.
💡maybe remove the “widget-smith” name at the bottom of each widgets that has been added to the Home Screen.
💡more options like people can choose their own picture and a text in there as well.
💡less time consuming by allowing photos to turn into widgetsmith but go to the app in order to add it to home screen.
You don’t have to do these things it’s just an idea and something that I thing can improve the app - but yous who made it make that choice.

Don’t waste your money on premium. I enjoy the app overall but I paid for a premium subscription and there are only 3 colour options available for the weather widgets which is extremely disappointing and a waste of my money. These colours include bright green, less bright green and a dark grey. If you want colours other than this DO NOT BOTHER WITH PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION.

I really like this app because it helps to customise my Home Screen, but there is some bugs. One thing that happens to me is when I try to add a widget on my home screen it goes grey and doesn’t add the photo. It is really annoying because I can’t use it properly. I have made sure I am selecting the right widget and using it properly but it doesn’t do anything and the widget still goes grey. Could you please fix this because I love this app and would like to use it more!

It’s a very good app to customise my widgets however I’ve noticed that there is a problem worth the clock and date widget. They won’t update by themselves on my Home Screen but when I go in the app, it shows the correct time. The only way to have a temporarily correct reading is if I edit the widget to refresh it (on my home page). Please fix this soon. Other that, this is a nice app to manage your widgets.

They have yellow in border colours and font colours, just not in background colours.

Love the app and how it lets you customise your Home Screen. I’ve come across a glitch where the blocks randomly become grey and I can’t add anymore widgets to the home screen anymore without them becoming grey.
Hopefully it can be fixed in the next update because it’s super awesome besides that one glitch!
