Can’t login

When I put my ID in, it says the product is not supported by this new app. I was able to login in the old app for many years, and now I can’t. The app is the only place I can see my mobile internet usage, now I can’t find out the usage anywhere( not even the normal website login). I am still paying my monthly charge. I wonder if this intended by TPG to get rid of its low value customers?

Room for improvement

1. Sign in is annoying and needs other options like face ID or PIN instead of username/password every time.
2. Speed test does not work
3. Phone keyboard obscures the text window and submit button when composing a support message.
4. User interface workflow in Fault section is circular and confusing.
Those issues aside, everything else is useful.

My TPG App provides misleading speed information

1. The My TPG App drastically overstates the download speeds. e.g. This morning the TPG web page displayed an internet speed at my residence of 16 mbps in the Safari web browser but by contrast this iPhone My TPG App displayed an internet speed of 48 mbps. The internet speed this morning has regularly dropped down to 3 mbps and the internet feels slow.
2. The usability of the App is further limited because it asks for the TPG user is and password every time the app is opened to run a speed test. It does not seem to allow Face ID to open the app. I do not even understand why this app requires the password simply to test the speed.

Cheap and nasty 2$ shop app. UI looks awful, speed test regularly doesn’t work (really) And this is meant to be the improved upgrade!? Astonishingly pour from a tech company. Is this expression of poor customer service a window into the rest of the company? I once very good ISP before Vodafone.

Absolutely useless.
Can’t even report a fault or provide feedback as the iPhone onscreen keyboard hides the submit button.

TPG is an absolute worst provider in OZ

My NBN 50 connection is like 14-16 and it just requires few resets every week. This App is a last c...p I have seen. Can’t test speed, asks to test connection which says it’s fine, but can’t test because of connection (Do you see around Robin). When writing a message to TPG under Technical issues it will prevent you from pressing send keyboard does not remove so can’t see bottom of the message. I think TPG should be removed altogether. Just should be zero not 1.

No data usage

New app no longer displays data and mobile phone call usage for limited data plans. Most important feature for me. Also now having been forced to re-log on with this new app is a moronic decision.

TPG made it’s impossible to raise a support ticket via their web site and suggested you can do that in the app

Says you can lodge a fault, but you cannot make the keyboard hide on the iPhone in order to be able to tap the submit button. Don’t bother, you are typing in vain with this poorly written app.

Save my login details 🙏

I’ve been using this app for a couple of months now and there are definitely a couple things that can be improved on:
1. Save login details - it’s such a simple feature that most apps these days have so it’s just annoying to have to enter your details everytime you want to open the app. Alternatively if it’s a security issue, using FaceID/Touch ID to unlock it is also so doable.
2. Manage Faults does not work - Your website outlines that you can contact TPG/Manage Faults using the app but it is a very confusing User Interface (UI). If you can even manage to put a fault in (which is already a difficult section to find), you can see very minimal information. It would be great to receive a transcript from each fault so that customers are able to gain greater clarification.
A redeeming feature, however, is that once a fault is placed, your customer service team are great at returning calls and trying their best to alleviate the issue. It would be fantastic if communication was a bit better between teams but it is understandable that not everyone is on the same training level/don’t necessarily know how to handle every kinda case that gets thrown their way.
I think you guys do a great job, I just think that a great UI is essential for an app that is essentially designed to replace a physical store and this app does not have a great UI.

No info on usage

I know most plans are unlimited but information on usage is very useful. I could find none. My plan is limited and I need an easy checker. The change of screens by a mix of buttons and sliding was a bit confusing to start with

Useless

App says internet is working but soon as I test speed it tells me there is NO CONNECTION. It’s happening nearly every few hours now & getting worse by the day. Internet has no service on my numerous devices so I check the connection through the app & it say it’s fine so I check the speed & the app & that’s when it says can’t find service so I put in another request for help & still never hear back from them except for them to send me a text saying your internet is fine but you can download our new app , which I already have & it’s not working either. Amazing how they rang me daily until I hooked up & now it’s a marathon to get even a text to fix the faults?? Still have inconsistent internet

Why do I have to keep logging in?

Super annoying, no other app on my phone requires me to login every 30 minutes or so. If it integrated with the iOS password manager it would be tolerable.
It is more convenient to lodge faults than compared to TPG chat service though.

Disappointed service

I pay $100/month for a nbn super fast bundle, and the bundle suppose to be 100mb/sec, but I just get less than 1mb/sec. The service team didn’t call you back even they promised to do. TPG is the worst company in Australia, and they absolutely not deserve the support of consumers.

Abysmal app

Very frequent internet drop outs at home ADSL. TPG is not accessible by phone, refer to downloading this app (via mobile). App does show there is no internet connection, but it’s not possible to log new faults in the app. Don’t pretend that the app is a solution if it isn’t, it only increases client dissatisfaction. My advice: don’t buy TPG services.

Have downloaded this app on three seperate iPhones and cannot log in on any of them.
I am using the correct credentials as they work when logging in to my TPG account through safari

This APP is poor quality as the company’s service.
The content been provided is almost fake as the company’s service.
Even your internet is OFFLINED, the result of speed test is still “within the acceptable range”. Do u have an unlimited acceptability?

Shame on tpg

Im absolute disgusted by tpg service and infrastructure!
Their service drops almost every night and it hasnt been working for the last two days their customers is inexistente, called up last night and waited for a answer for one hour and nothing! And their app is a embaressment for a technological company!
We are changing service provider and I strongly suggest that you do not engage in their plans to avoid futher frustration!
I’m a service provider myself and I believe that if you can deliver it with excellence, you should do it at all, clearly thats not what tpg are in for.

Does not work.

Users can write a message to technical support, but can’t send the message, because the input box is so large, and keyboard in the way, that a user cannot see not click the send/submit button.

Recently bought a sim hoping to call overseas but what a waste of money

Bought a sim for calling overseas its not connecting at all. As soon as i dial the number it starts counting the seconds without ringing. Worst of all i had no success of making any call so far and i paid for it. What a waste of money 😠😠😠 so frustrated with their poor service. Zero recommendation
