SO GOOD
Love the ICG product and technology which also allows for my Life Fitness IC8 to sink with other 3D viewing technology. So Good!!!

The workouts need naming, they all look the same. It’s impossible to remember which ones I’ve done. A bit like how metafit names all their workouts.
Maybe also recommendations should come through the app based on previous workouts would be useful too.

Fails to pair bike to iPhone 12 Pro
Incompatible with iPhone 12 Pro or iOS 14.4.2. The app refuses to pair the bike to the iPhone. The app sees the bike - and correctly identifies the number - but the “Connect now” button remains greyed out and after a while the bike pairing mode returns the error “pairing failed”.
My gym buddy in my spin class, who is using a FitBit, has no trouble pairing, and we’ve tried three different bikes. Each time his bike pairs almost instantly. Each time mine fails.
For info, I have a new iPhone 12 Pro snd am running the updated iOS 14.4.2. Also, while I have no other Bluetooth devices interfering at that time, other devices do pair easily. Also, I have allowed Bluetooth for this specific app in my settings. This app is the only one that has problems.
So zero stars if the app is unusable.

Great Bike, Poor App
When you spend thousands on a high end bike you expect the app to be of the same high quality. It isn’t.
The app frequently fails to save the workout once you finish thereby losing all the data forever. Incredibly frustrating after you’ve just put in a PB effort and have nothing to show for it!
Similarly, unless you have Strava integration set up prior to the ride the data can never be uploaded to the app i.e. historical data can’t be uploaded.
Even when the app does properly record the ride it doesn’t allow more than 3 data points to be included in the upload to Strava - time, distance and average speed. Which means you don’t get fundamental data such as power or heart rate uploaded to Strava despite being captured by the app. This is particular poor given the power metre is one of the key features of the IC7/8.
Had I known this prior to purchasing my IC7 I would have seriously considered an alternative brand. Such a lacklustre app is extremely poor in this day and age where data recording and performance metrics are so fundamental.
