Description

The pitch scope app measures sound from the microphone and displays its pitch(frequency), waveform, and spectrum in real time. Use this app to analyze voices and instrument sounds.
Why do vowels U O A E I sound like U O A E I? You can see and check the waveform and spectrum of each vowel.
When you hear someone says “this guitar sounds brightly and that one sounds heavy”, what is the difference? For such a question, you can check it with this app.

Nice but could be better

Great to have a spectrum with labeled points.
Would be really helpful to be able, after freezing the screen, to be able to drag a vertical line along the FFT which reports frequency and amplitude, and kind of snaps to peaks, or has a snap to peak option.
That way the user can measure specific points.
The automated pitch and amplitude graphs change much too fast. They should be stickier. Maybe always show the 8 dominant peaks, sorted by frequency. That way you’d be likely to still see a harmonic, even if it decayed faster than the fundamental. At the moment no peaks are measured under some amplitude value. That’s not ideal. Always show the first 8 regardless of amplitude.
