Description

MONITORING HEART HEALTH DAILY IS YOUR WAY TO HEALTH AND BEAUTY
Never miss a beat with InPulse! Check your heart rate, log your blood pressure, and record your oxygen saturation with your iPhone.
Simply place your finger on the camera to measure your heart rate. Receive reminders to check your pulse and log your vitals on a daily basis so you can stay healthy and fit. Get your stress levels under control and negative emotions identified and leveled.
The Main Advantages of the App:
- Measure your heart rate using your fingertip and camera
- Use Journal to record your blood pressure and oxygen saturation
- Get daily health assessments and lifestyle advice
- Develop healthy habits with our Habit Tracker
- Manage your emotional wellbeing with Mental Health Tests
- Follow our Self-Love Program to achieve harmony and peace of mind
- Add tags and comments to your measurements
- Integrate with Apple Health, and your pulse measurements will be sent to the Health app, making it even easier for you to keep track of your heart and overall health.
How to Check Pulse Using Finger:
- First, make sure your fingers aren’t cold. When checking your pulse, be sure your fingertip completely covers the camera lens and flashlight.
- Press gently with your finger. Pressing too hard may result in reduced blood flow, which will make it more difficult to get an accurate result.
The app requires iOS 14.0 or later. You can choose a free trial with all features available.
UNLIMITED ACCESS TO ALL FEATURES
- You can subscribe for unlimited access to all the app has to offer.
- Subscriptions are billed automatically at a rate depending on the selected subscription plan.
Important Note
The app is not designed for medical purposes. It is meant only for fitness use and as a source of general health information.

Waste of money, wildly inconsistent accuracy

I have a condition called POTS, so I am using this to keep a track of my HR changes. It worked well for the 3 day trial, so I signed up for the year's subscription but I won't be renewing.
While it works sometimes, it often doesn't - especially when my HR is high (above 125). I frustratingly try many different ways, ensuring as per developer's advice (ie warming cold fingertip, using index, not applying too much pressure, etc) as well as classic error 101 moves like closing and reopening the app, but to no avail. It also doesn't seem as if there is any option to delete an entry (or if there is, it's too difficult to find) so all the false entries have skewed my data. I have entries of 42 when my HR is actually 142 when checked manually. Additionally, there does not appear to be an option to print or save graphs/data to pdf that would be handy, especially given the price point of this app. I'm glad this app has worked for others, but has been more troublesome than useful for me and a waste of money unfortunately.

I used this app for a week and thought was going well until one 1 day I went for a 5km jog.
I was curious wondering what it would read straight after my jog and discovered that my heart rate was only 57 bpm.
Now I’m no medical professional however it would be logical to assume that a male at 45 years of age should at least reach a rate of 80-90 bpm straight after a 5km jog. I think it’s very irresponsible of this company to claim that it can accurately measure someone’s health condition.
I had known a person who’d recently died of a heart attack at 51 which was the reason I had downloaded this app.

$58 a year for a pulse reading that I can take myself for free?
The description mentions oxygen level and blood pressure (what I was after) but they are only for record keeping for numbers sourced elsewhere.
This is just a heart rate monitor and tracker for other data.
I selected the free trial initially but then the $1.11 a week ($58 yearly) option defaults to $11 a week.
$58 a year would be reasonable for oxygen level and blood pressure monitoring otherwise pure record keeping can be done through many free apps.

Does not measure BO2 or Blood Pressure

Version 1.6
It was not entirely clear from the description whether this actually measures the above.
The description says “journal…” but it would be helpful to clarify that it does not measure BO2/blood pressure (only heart rate).
I did not test the heart rate function as I was only interested in blood pressure.
It was also not clear whether there was a free version. Upon downloading the app and enabling/disabling notification & data, you’re greeting with subscription pricing and whether you want the 3 day trial.
Some reviews mention a free version, if this is the free version and there was a way around the pay wall, it was not as clear as it should’ve been. Regardless, you can just use the three day trial and cancel easily via Apple’s Settings.

Agree to disagree but I don’t think you should have to pay to use a health app as it is for your own health benefit it should be free for use. On the other hand I think it’s a smart idea and it is cool how it works though I don’t know how accurate this app is

I used this app to make 10 scans of my heart rate, one after the other, 5 on my right hand, 5 on my left hand.
The 5 on my right varied enormously each scan, clocking in anywhere from 78 bpm to 112 bpm.
The 5 on my left varied less, but still significantly, clocking in anywhere from 64 - 76 bpm.
I have brachycardia, my resting heart rate is around 55 bpm. No reading was remotely consistent, and none of them showed my actual heart rate (112 bpm is actually laughable).
Tested on a modern iPhone with two camera lenses, I don’t know if that makes the software less accurate or not, but the instruction animation shows the correct iPhone camera for my phone so presumably they are asserting it can work with my phone.

A free app will not accurately calculate your heart rate. I’m a health professional and use polar heart rate monitors everyday, do yourself a favour if you are concerned about your heart rate go see your gp or buy a polar heart rate monitor… sorry but this will only cause more problems than solve I’m afraid, my usual heart rate at rest is around 47-52bpm this calculated at 110bpm. Bit of a joke that anyone would pay money for this

It takes too long for it to work, and you can’t move an inch or it will glitch out, freeze or restart.
Essentially useless for working out or post work out (because by the time it’s read your pulse your heartbeat has dropped significantly). My expectations were low but I was still disappointed.

I was not expecting this, to be honest. Kept seeing the ad for this app on Instagram, saying it will measure your heartbeat and all that. Decided to give it a try, obviously expecting a fee per month that no one is going to pay.
Now I tried it three times, each time comparing the results to my Apple Watch Series 5 40 MM heart sensor, and two times out fo the three- it was within 5 BPM. The third, 30 BPM away.
I’m blown away. What??
