Could make it HomeKit compatible as well
Would be nice to bring support to Siri and Apple HomeKit for a more seamless experience, as I have spent a lot on these products, but not having a premium smart home experience.
Also, introducing a smart home device add on, which connects all Philips smart devices for a faster connectivity (so there being no load time to access your humidifier or air purifier). Or better yet, consistently being connected to Apple HomePod for a better smart home experience.
But overall the App is alright, not as high end or seamless as I initially expected.

It requires precise location to connect to the device, I’m aware that there is no need to request such information from users. They made it in a way that you cannot connect if you don’t allow it. We could easily type the wifi name and password to share connection, like it works for everything else.

Great little device
Decided to upgrade my smaller air purifier to the new device and I love it. I always suspected the air in my bedroom wasn’t the greatest (live in a 19 unit complex and my townhouse faces the driveway - and always seems to be dusty). As soon as I set the device up my suspicions were confirmed. It’s great to be able to control it from my phone.

I have the 5000 model. It constantly says it’s 89% humidity even when it is clear dry in my house and independent readings say it’s around 40%. I do some research and it turns out the gauge is built into the housing where the water is stored! What an absolute joke of a design. Then in app, you can’t override the 70% limit so the piece of garbage never turns on. Waste of money. Poorly designed product. Zero stars if I could.

The latest update has rendered my app connection useless. I have deleted and re-added my 600i and it still will not connect. Infuriating. Fix this. It was fine before. It’s slow to load also. I have a fast 5Ghz wifi connection on iOS 26.2 and this app is now essentially bricked.

App stopped connecting to fans. It stays “connecting” and I can’t turn my fans on through the app. When trying to re-pair or reconnected it keeps coming up with “http error”. Not connecting to device.
I got my first Phillips air device yesterday and connected it all up fine. The app paired with the device without issue for the first 24 hours. Now it won’t connect. Followed all troubleshooting advice on the website still no luck. Having devices connected to the internet/app isn’t a big thing I care much about so I’ll live without it but for those looking to buy for this reason be warned lol
Edit: I physically turned it on and then it connected back to the app. I physically turned it off and it disconnected again. On/off feature on app is pointless then.

Good but needs a tiny bit of work
Overall the app is pretty good, UI is good and simple, I like everything about the air purifier I bought but when i try to connect to it using this app, it takes over 1 minute even though my internet speed is very good. The only other problem which annoys me and made me do 4 stars instead of 5 stars is when i go into setting and try to do anything like set a schedule or viewing the help & support page, it takes me back to the settings menu after 3 seconds and I am unable to do anything. I would love to set a schedule for the air purifier. I hope there is an update that will fix this problem soon!!

Great App - Just one request
Overall, I am really impressed with the app and the developers who have put their time and effort behind it. The app works as needed and doesn’t disconnect reset or play up like other smart home apps.
One feature I would love to see though is to be able to set the manual speeds in the scheduler, such as setting speed setting 2 from 6pm to 7pm etc, instead of it being only limited to auto, med or high.
Otherwise thank you for your work on it.

Very happy with this humidifier. Low power consumption - less than 12W! No floor splash or wet. Quiet operation. Good on device controls but the app is a better way to use the appliance. The app also has a much better manual than the paper manual that comes with the appliance. WiFi connects easily and setup was easy - iPhone.

Nicely designed, but no support for HomeKit or Home Assistant is ridiculous for a smart home device
Will see how long I keep this humidifier, but I certainly don’t want another smart home app to use daily. Would give 5 stars if it integrated with HomeKit or at the very least Home Assistant. Might swap for the Xiaomi Humidifier 2 if I can’t find a way to integrate. Shocked there’s no support for Hue either.
I’m ok with using this app from time to time for in depth config, but basic functionality and sensor data should be integrated into common smart home platforms!

Lost Devices
Got the app a few weeks ago to control two new air purifiers. Today the app asked me to sign in again, but after successfully logging in, my devices were gone and will have to be paired again.
Honestly I think I'll probably just control them manually rather than going through this song and dance. Always a pain when things disappear like that.

Some good functions but sooo slow to connect
The scheduling air purifiers works well but the app is so slow to connect to the devices, about 60-90 seconds just to be able to change the speed or turn on/off.
Notifications are also buggy, set to only get notifications above 'fair' air quality but keep getting fair ones and no ability to get notifications below a certain air quality.
Would also like to operate the app without having to give my location.
Would like an option for a count down timer so if manually turning the air purifier on but want it to turn off in 3 hours.

Notifications broken
Notifications are enabled within the settings app but still say disabled within the Air+ app. Google integration with one of my purifiers doesn’t work. Sees that there are two devices on my account (great) but one always appears offline when within the Air+ are online and connected. Tried to report these issues as bugs, but as the purchase was free. Couldn’t through the apple bug portal!

Schedule controls and connection
Great product! (1000i purifier). However, my concern is that the app is quite limited. Often it won’t connect to the device even when in same room and turned on - if it does connect it takes a long time to do so. I love the scheduling feature, you can schedule when it turns on and what setting, but you can’t seem to schedule when it turns off. Has a good GUI but quite rudimentary.

Works very well
It’s a bit scary realising how hard my purifier needs to work in my house. I’ve been pretty impressed as to how much stuff the filter holds and then can vacuum out of the hepa filter. Glad I’ve got this in my house now and unsure if I’d be without it in future. Have tried other brand of air purifier and it broke before it had been used for much more then about a fortnight. Glad I traded the breville purifier in for this Philips air purifier instead as it is more durable and app despite being tricky to connect initially allows for basic monitoring and air quality tracking ensuring air in my home is good and not so bad on my hayfever!

Connecting a device is a headache!
Since the new update (2 days ago) my devices were booted off my app and when I try to connect them again the app tells me my WIFI password is incorrect… and it’s not. Other folk on the Internet say it’s due to there being a special character in the password which the app doesn’t regonise? If this is true it’s unacceptable.
Please fix this. I refuse to change my secure WIFI password as a workaround just for your software.
I want to expand my air purifier range but I won’t until this is fixed.

Good luck connecting to Air+
Cannot connect to Air+, even after countless attempts and ages on the phone to helpful support staff who could not provide a solution to connect to 2.5ghz wifi. Confusing instructions in different formats are no help (factory reset required?). The telco has not been able to provide a way to switch from 4G/5G to 2.5ghz wifi. The purifying function is good. None of this would be necessary if the small touch control was a well-designed interface with clear colour indicators (is that dim blue in sleep mode, or purple for poor air quality?)

Please add an option to turn off the beep sound from the air purifier when it is turned on/off or changing modes. This sound is too loud and disturbing, particularly in children's bedrooms. For example, at night, when switching to night mode, it can wake up the child!

Unlike other devices, the Phillips is so silent … the most important thing is that it does not get the most annoying frequency buzz! And it actually works as tested by Choice magazine Australia!

Always disconnects from Alexa
I’ve had this device due a couple of years now and every 2-3 months, Alexa tells me I have to reconnect it. Philips should fix their servers as this doesn’t happen with other devices. Occasional outages are fine, but it seems any failure is never recovered (unless the user jumps through hoops).
My cheap smart lights for example have run continuously for over a year with no such problem.

A trusted companion.
My Philips Air Purifier Series 2000i is a trusted companion when I’m dusting my house, bedrooms, closets and other dusty surfaces in my house. It tells me the air quality and I know too well to take precautions in wearing a face mask, a head covering and goggles 🥽, prior to doing any dusting job, to prevent myself from getting sick. The best part of all is that it filters the dusty air, gives me clean fresh cool air, and it is connected by the app, so that I can check the air quality inside my home when I’m away from home.

Can only connect one device
Was so pleased with the performance of my first PHILIPS air purifier that I bought a second one. When I was unable to pair my second purifier to the app, I phoned PHILIPS Support.
It turns out you can only track one purifier with this app. If you have 2 purifiers, you need 2 phones so you can have 2 separate apps, one per purifier. I find that completely bizarre. It means that when you buy a second purifier, you’re getting less than advertised (ie. no app access), and less than you were lead to believe based on your first purifier experience.
My advice is: if you’re considering a second air purifier, buy a different brand.

Below average app. It struggles to find your purifier to the point where you have to close and reopen just to find the device, otherwise it will just buffer endlessly.
To top it all off, multiple times now has it seemingly lost connection for no reason at all, to my device.

Bug!
UPDATE - 11th February 2023
Ever since the last software update my app keeps telling me to update my device’s firmware to version 69.1, but I already have that latest version installed.
The app was crashing constantly as soon as it opened until I deleted it then reinstalled it. Now it’s no longer crashing, but it’s still nagging me to update the firmware.
Any programmer worth his or her salt can put a simple If test before displaying that message, for example:
if firmware < latest (69.1)
then display update message

I love the app and my Philips 3000i. I suffer from chronic asthma/COPD as well as an autoimmune disease so clean air is essential. It was a breeze to set up and I leave it to constantly run on “Auto”, but I suspect there may be a bug in the app’s reports. I’ve received a number of alerts that Gas is at L2, but it is never reflected in the daily graph. The graph shows an occasional bump in PM2.5, but the more common L2 notifications remain invisible on the graph. Please investigate.

Just updated the app couple of days back and it keeps crashing once I open the app and try to click on “My Devices” in the app to turn off or On or to change any settings.
The app is completely closing by itself.

Philips Air Purifiers App
1. The App connected easily and works well with the first Philips 3000i air-purifier. But… I have not been able to connect it to the second 3000i. Disappointing. I agree.
2. Version 3.1.3 crashes within a second or two of opening the app. App connects to the device OK, but only for a second. Please fix this issue ASAP.

Since update app keeps crashing
Since the latest update the app keeps crashing. Also do not like how long you have until needing to clean and change filter is expressed as % when quite awhile ago it would give it to you in units of time (days). It having you need to clean filter in 33% means nothing it was much more helpful for it to say you need to clean filter in 10 days.

Never seems to save any device settings
Have tried on 2 different iPhones, but after successfully connecting to my purifier and joining it to my wifi, the app never shows any device information. Any attempt to save a device name, or set auto power schedule just sits spinning forever. Eventually have to force close app.
Seems poorly maintained, or poorly provisioned at the back end with their cloud infrastructure.

Great app for pure air
Great features of this app include the ability to remote control the appliance even when you’re away from home, allergens and pollutants readings, setup automatic schedules and Siri Shortcuts, tells you when the filter needs to be cleaned or replaced, and personalised your device settings. Nonetheless, it’s not easy to update the app. You either wait for it to update automatically in a few week’s time or do it manually by following the instructions. I did the latter but no success. So will have to try waiting.

These Philips air purifier has save my life from allergies and hay fever.
The initial app connection setup is a bit tricky.
To all people experiencing software set up issues, try turn your mobile data (3g, 4g and 5g) off and try again. It should then work perfectly.

These air filters have changed my life!
I am so happy with these air filters, they have literally changed my life. All easily controlled from the app. I can breath! I wake up feeling refreshed! This is seriously life changing stuff as I am asthmatic, but most days now I don’t even need my medication! The filters take care of my environment.

Had issues connecting, but good
The way the app says to set up wifi needs more instruction.
Had to turn the device off at the wall and press the two buttons together and hold while turning it on. Also, like most devices only connects to 2g wifi. Had to make sure my phone was connected to it also.

Can’t pair air purifier and app with router
Love my 3000i air purifier but cannot get the app/purifier to pair with router/modem. Went to Philips site but just got AI response that tried to refer me to a user pays cell phone support service I’ve never heard of. That’s not service. Not happy. Am technically competent and have paired numerous devices to router.
