Session is a new breed of private messenger, built on a unique network of user-operated servers spread all over the world. With no central servers, Session can’t leak or sell your data. And with Session’s private routing protocols, your messages are completely anonymous. No one ever knows who you’re talking to, what you’re saying, or even your IP address.

App wouldn’t send notifications. Contacted support and had to jump through hoops and do backflips in order to attempt a resolution. Still failed to function correctly and support ceased to respond to my emails. There’s absolutely no use for a messenger app that refuses to notify. Don’t waste your time.

Wrote a review giving 3stars Nov 5 and stating how exasperating it was using an iPad in landscape mode, then having to physically turn the iPad to portrait mode to send links and comments. This was a feature of Sessions some 12months + back but disappeared for some reason. Well it’s back now 2 weeks after I posted the original review and I have upped my rating to 5stars, thanks to the developers honest response and action.

I was looking at alternatives to move over from WhatsApp and found this and I’m pleasantly surprised how wonderful it is.
Truly secure, no need for email or phone number and the UI is so clean.
I hope you add a video calling functionality sooner rather than later and once it is available, I can move over fully to this app.
I can’t wait to see where this app lands if this is the first version! Truly amazing, well done to the developers of this app.

It’s pretty clean, and easy to use, and with frequent updates, new and requested features come quite quickly!

I’ve been using this for a few months now and it’s my favourite messaging app to date.
Only issue is it bugged out a little bit (which happens, no problem there) so I deleted it and tried to restore my account, it has restored it but with only 5 contacts and no display names as to who those contacts are.
Again very happy with the apps usability and design and execution, just wanted to point out the fault I’ve encountered.
