Description
Park'nPay is a convenient and easy way to pay for parking, which will be progressively rolled out across NSW in the coming months. Park'nPay app is live in The Rocks, Liverpool and parts of Darling Harbour and Pyrmont, allowing motorists to pay for parking on their phone, rather than using the physical meter. Drivers searching for loose coins or walking to the nearest parking machine to top up the meter will soon be a thing of the past with the new Park'nPay app.
The Park'nPay app makes it easier for drivers to pay for parking with a few taps of their phone.
The app helps drivers avoid parking fines because they will be notified when their meter is running low or their park is about to turn into a no stopping zone.
Park'nPay will reduce the stress and pressures of getting a ticket from parking inspectors as you can check your meter in real-time.
When a meter is about to expire, users simply top up their account through the app so they do not have to stop what they are doing to rush back to their car.
Motorists simply download the Park 'n Pay app, create an account with their licence plate and payment details. Users have the option of paying with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Parking inspectors will check to see if a meter has been paid via their licence plate details.

Ripped off
Need to have a way to correct any mistakes even after the payment has gone through. I found out when the wrong car was selected the first time I used it. Cost me $9.00 for nothing.

This app is a saviour during this infectious time.
The topup feature is the best thing as i have to wait for a long time for my takaway and I topped twice using app
The only downside is the limited councils onboard. When is it coming to the lower north shore

Encourages hogging
How will this encourage cars to be parked for no longer than the prescribed amount of time? The limit is supposed to help manage flow and encourage parked vehicles to move on before their time is up and give other drivers a fair go. Keeping a car in the same spot and topping up via the app completely defeats the purpose!

Registered and received a fine
So I pull up to Argyle St at The Rocks and park under the overhead bridge where I normally park near the Argyle steps. I see the meter with ParknPay advertised on it right beside my car and decide to register and pay for my spot with was successful. I notice the cars on each side of my car had their tickets on their dashboard but I thought maybe this new system covers that.
I come back 3hrs later to find a penalty notice of $191 which was issued 45mins after I left my car and on it it read that I was in a taxi stand in a different street?? How this happened I have no idea. I hope with my receipts etc they overturn this. Iv never received a parking fine in my life and don’t want this to be the first

Not much parking, unless you’re taking the Mercedes to the CBD
This app only covers a handful of parking spaces near as of October 2019.
These are at The Rocks in the Sydney CBD, Chinatown, and Pyrmont.
Enough of a scattering of “free” parking spaces are listed around Liverpool to avoid the criticism of this being an app being designed for wealthy eastern suburbs drivers looking for a parking spot for the Mercedes.
If you’re parking anywhere else in Sydney except the handful of streets listed above, forget it.
Great idea - but not very useful. Hopefully this is just because it’s in the pilot stages.

Solves my biggest problem
I hate stressing out how long to put in the parking meter when I go out. This gives me more flexibility so I can pay for a while and then top up if needed. Great idea!!
