Install the app. This is the second thing you must do after powering on the base station
Try to set up a username.
Cannot.
Keyboard doesn’t show up to set password.
Uninstall re-install app.

Prior to the latest upgrade I would’ve given this 5 stars but now the product is useless as u cannot use the app (ie with cellular data) unless it is on the same wifi as the cameras

Not working

I wasn’t able to snooze the cameras, it said snooze failed. Deleted app, reinstalled app, didn’t fix it. Logged out, then unable log in due to an error, I think it was 503 error. Now it’s unusable as I can’t get back in.

Constantly turns off

Those cameras freeze and stop recording if you do not quit app in certain way.
Open live video. Switch to another app. Half an hour later your camera is not working.

Normally great crashes every 2 seconds

My app on iPhone crashes every 2 seconds from when I open it up. Has gone unresolved for a week. My partner has a Samsung and it works fine on his.

Useless. Keeps restarting after the last update.

Had so much hope of eufy. Worked ok the first few weeks and then now it doesn’t do jack. Will get a notification and once I click on the live feed, the whole app shuts down. Seriously guys? As a fellow developer, surely this doesn’t pass any of your runtime testing. Back to my arlo….expensive but it works.

App crashes on latest iOS 14.6 on SIMS Network without WiFi

Pls provide a fix ASAP as the app is not working on all Apple devices running on network SIMS - very disappointing that I bought your security camera pack last week and cannot monitor remotely while on the go.
Current app version only runs on Wifi. Pls fix the problem urgently as you’re loosing customers with this critical & disappointing failure.

Doesn’t work on cellular

App crashes, huge audio delays

Latest iOS on an iPhone XS, app crashes and renders the phone unresponsive for about 30 minutes until it can be hard reset.
When it was working previously, there was a huge audio delay between the doorbell and the app making it unusable for communication or responding to alerts in reasonable time. We have great internet speeds where I live and more than sufficient wifi coverage, many people complaint about audio issues for months and still no fix. Product has great potential, it’s just a shame the developers aren’t listening to feedback

No support response yet despite me raising a request twice in the last 6 days. The app crashes immediately when you open it on cellular data. This is not a serious security device company. Serious security issue last month letting people see other people’s cameras. And now this month you can’t see your own camera video feed. Well done.

Can’t open App

Ever since the app updated last week I can’t open it unless I’m connected to a WiFi network.
As soon as I try to open it, it’s closes the app straight away, if I'm connected to WiFi it works as normal.
I’ve tried to delete the app and load it again, still the same, so it must be something to do with the update last week.

App Crashes without Wifi

Unless I’m at home connected to the hub I cannot use the app, it continuously crashes after signing in while using mobile data. Iv tried deleting the app and reinstalling it but nothing helps. Works great but….

Hi guys thanks for having an awesome app and even better product! I have the 2c cams and wireless doorbell cam and they all work seemless. BUT…. My iPhone app on a XS 256gb phone just will not work, the app works on my iPad but just recently not on my iPhone! Please help??
Oh and it’s strange as I still get alert notifications that someone or something has moved on camera yet I can’t access the app! Very strange. Thanks guys!

Buyers be aware, app will crash when connecting to 4G, this is a known issue under the newest IOS 14.6 and many ppl have been experiencing this.
Restart/reinstall won’t help.

June 2021 update crashes

The new App update for iOS for June 2021, rashes after 3 seconds of opening it. This only seems to be happening with the use of Cell data. Multiple users in Australia have reported this but the customer service here still has not replied for a resolution to this problem. DO NOT update your app if you have not done so yet.
Previous to the update the App worked very well with Cell Data, I would hold off buying anymore products here in Australia until this has been fixed, as it defeats the purpose of having a security system if you can’t access the cameras when away from your home WiFi.

Excellent products

Glad I researched & purchased Eufy. The hardware & app performance is excellent. I love comparing my Eufy products with friends showing them things mine can do and theirs can’t. I’ve had my camera & doorbell for a month and am pleased to see app and firmware updates already which shows they work on enhancements & improvements all the time.

App needs fixing

The cameras are great but the app needs fixing it’s making my phone freeze and stay frozen until it goes flat only way I can fix the issue is to delete the app and start again and even then after 2 weeks it does it again. I know it’s definitely the app as when I delete it it doesn’t freeze but when I re download it, it freezes again and I have to repeat this process......

Don’t buy Eufy!

They have absolutely no product support and ignore any requests sent. The geolocation function is still totally useless and fails every day, and the promised facial recognition feature has never worked! Also failed to fulfil their promises to Kickstarter backers outside the USA for discounted product ranges with not a word of apology or attempt to make good. Find another brand.

Very happy but app needed for smart watches

My video security doorbell works amazingly well, and in fact alerted me to a break in attempt only a week ago. It was just lucky however that I had my iPhone with me to receive the alert.I would really love to see an app available for an Apple Watch, because that is always on my wrist, where as I put my phone down at times and will miss alerts.
Even though an Apple Watch can mirror your phone, it doesn’t seem that the app can be installed individually.
Please make the app available for smart watches too.

Good security system but need small update

Hii guys i have eufy cam 365 days battery back its really good even i recommend my some friends and even they purchased eufy cam base second generation which supports apple home kit
But the one i have is doesn't support apple home kit but on the box is written it does support but I don't how its gonna might it need some kind of firmware update

Great platform with room for improvement

I’m using 4 indoor and outdoor cameras with the app and things work pretty well. The app is easy to use and reliable. The biggest missing feature for me is the ability to group certain cameras together so they can be armed and disarmed in one go. Currently, it has to be done for each camera or base station separately, which is quite annoying.

Not bad, could be better

I’m reasonably happy with my purchase so far of the Eufy camera system. It’s definitely been useful. I am still recommending to friends and family.
My only annoyances at this stage are 1) the app only allows adding four security cameras to Apple HomeKit when Apple HomeKit Secure support website clearly states that it supports up to 5 cameras; and 2) Activity Zone setting, at least for doorbell camera, is flaky. Have restricted detection zone down to almost nothing and still get notifications for activity well outside configured zone. Frustrating and disappointing but not a show-stopper.

I don’t know where to start

The products look to be amazing and I Would love them to work!
My first doorbell was faulty and got it replaced with a new one!
My app just glitches every time I try and change a setting I have no luck and times out and crashes! I would like a solution so i can use my products until it’s fixed there just a good paper weight.

Geofencing is useless

Great app, however the geofencing feature for security camera is practically useless which is the main feature we want in a security camera.
It constantly can’t find people in the family. It is also quite frustrating that there’s no option to turn notifications off of camera status change when geofencing does work. Please fix!

P#ssed off with geofencing!

Endless problems with geofencing. The app shows that my device is in the zone I’m connected to the local wifi which should confirm 100% that I’m home, all settings set to give full permission to the app including always allow precise location but even with the app open and it showing me on its map that I’m home it still says out of zone set to away mode.
Had to turn alarms off because they kept screaming at the wife just for going about her day to day.

Good idea, software flakey

Initially thrilled to bits but it has proved a bit unstable on my iPad. Also the security pin to remove the doorbell is made of a very poor metal, no better than a paper clip. It needs to be made from hardened steel. I had to resort to a bulldog clip fitting as i asked for assistance from their Australian site and NO response.

Amazing

Truly the best system. I did some research and looked at some different options, and the eufy was the best by far it has not disappointed.
I would like to see a slightly longer recording time to save to the cloud, but outside of that You wont be sorry, it is amazing.

Amazing, room for improvements though

Really great app, good quality and price for security.
Would love to see 2 new features added for the iPad version
1.Be able to watch more then just 1 screen at a time, because iPads have bigger screens I would suggest being able to watch 4 on a screen at once.
2. Would be when you are watching a camera and have others connected, it would be nice to be able to simply swipe left or right to view another camera instead of having to hit the back arrow at top of screen and then scroll down to find the view you want.
Again great app and would be 5 stars with these improvements.

Mostly Great But... Bad Geofence

Wonderful product, except one of the more important features doesn’t work 😔
You can setup a Geofence to change modes when you’re home/away. Which would be great... if it worked. To make it work everyone needs to open their phone and update there location.
It’s easier to open one up and change it manually.
It would also be good if you could set a Geofence & a Schedule to work together and the ability to set. A specific profile for 2hrs so you don’t forget to switch back.
An Apple Watch App would also be good and easier until the Geofence is fixed.

Awesome Door Bell

This has been an amazing purchase. I recently installed a Eufy Wired Doorbell. The installation process was easy to follow and I had no issues. Make sure you purchase the correct transformer to supply the right voltage to the doorbell.
I do wish I had a bit of control over the contrast of the picture though as glare can be an issue. I’m picking at the small thing though. The sound is a bit tinny sounding, but agains small things. Very happy.

A bit unreliable when you need it to work most!

This program is good but the live camera never actually seems to work when I really need it to. Ie when an alert that someone has been spotted but then says “homebase is busy” literally every time I try and see who could potentially be trying to break into my house

Great!

Reliable security system with the ability to be personalised. Everything you’d want in a modern security system. App is comprehensive but importantly, very user friendly. Cameras and HomeBase incredibly easy to configure and set up. I’m impressed and no regrets spending the money on this system. The only thing I would like to see is a simple Apple Watch app, that would make it even sweeter being able to arm/disarm alarms without having to go digging through my handbag for my phone!

Requires internet to use app properly

After setting up and running for a week - we have just found that we cannot edit any settings, turns out the EUFY servers must be down.
Despite products operating locally it seems settings are stored on EUFY servers and when they are down we lose the ability to do anything with these devices. Settings should be held and be maintainable locally.

Been waiting for geofencing to be implemented. It’s pretty useless to me unless geofencing works
Geofencing released a 4-5 weeks ago as beta but doesn’t work properly. With me and my wife’s phone enabled for geofencing, eufy security app rarely detects our location accurately. If we leave the geofence it says we are still at home, if we return, it’ll say we are still away. It only works slightly better if we keep opening and closing the app regularly. Other apps are able to implement geofencing robustly. So it’s definitely possible.. hoping this gets fixed soon so the 4 cameras I have become a lot more useful

Great.

Super good the only thing that could make it better would be if the app had a different notification sound to other apps, so you would know if it’s just an instagram notification or a gumtree notification ect. besides from that overall this is a great app for a great device.

Great cost affordable option

Very happy with my purchase so far and think the geofencing is a great addition. Please also combine geofencing with schedules for instance for me my backyard camera is not set to record when I am home to not waste battery life notifications etc however at night when we are in bed we do want it to record so to have the scheduling ability aswell as geofencing would be ideal for many user in many scenarios!

Very pleased with purchase

Did a lot of research before deciding on EUFY cameras. I installed 4 cameras, in my driveway, front porch, backyard and kitchen, charged them for few hours the day before. Super easy to install as they are wireless plus the App made it twice as easy and the how-to videos helped as well. I really like the features it offers, 365 days battery life, local encrypted storage of videos, clear night vision that picks up even small insects and moths flying by, perfect sound can even hear what passerbys are chatting about in front of my house however the proximity can be adjusted so it doesn’t record every neighbour who’s out exercising ;) I uploaded photos of family and friends and it does have great face recognition as well. I get notifications while I’m at work that motion has been detected in my driveway or front porch or backyard and I can watch my 20s videos, see when the mailman is at my door, hold & speak to him. Can also sound the siren if it’s an intruder. EUFY does everything and more that I wanted in a security device. I can also add more cameras, and other features later on. All in all I am very happy with my purchase. Living alone as an empty nester, I bought peace of mind when I am home or away and that’s priceless!

Awesome

I started with a 4 pack. Now have 12 cameras. Few small issues with interference when I had home base too close to router. Separated them and sorted it 👌 wish I’d installed cameras years ago.

Works well

I have the Eufy2 cam and they work well, the app features are good with geofencing and pet identification to stop constant recording. The infra red night sensors give a clear view. Easy to install and set up. I purchase a 128g SD card to upgrade the memory and format set up was simple. The face recognition is clear and accurate. The app is simple easy to navigate. 4K would have got these cams a 5* rating

Eufy security cam

I recently purchased the eufy cam 4 pack from the advice of a colleague who talked them up. Firstly during daylight hours the image is pretty well smack on, night time if there’s no outside lighting the cameras are very poor quality for night vision, only thing you can see is when a big flys past the camera. They come with some cool features though like the audible alarm and the microphone to speak through the camera. The worst part for me is though the cameras seem to record voices and wind blowing for a while minute but dnt record when people are actually walking and moving in front of the camera. The whole reason I brought these was for security but they dnt seem to record the serious things only the things that dnt matter. Hopefully you can fix this issue

No good unless on wifi.

I really wanted this to work. I have a eufycam original I guess it is as eufycam 2 isn’t released in Australia or at least not marketed that way. Anyway easy setup etc but biggest fail is I can not access the camera feeds, either alert or live via LTE/4G. Defeats the point as that’s what I got this for being shift worker and not being home at different times than normal people. I made sure it wasn’t my network by viewing a relatives Arlo cam feed which is over 900km’s away.

Randomly works when I’m away

Randomly works when I am away from home and when it does work it takes about 30seconds to a minute to see anything live. If fails more than it works when your away from home and you check the cams from your device. Frustrating
I find myself using my ring Floodlight cam more with the new rapid ring app. The Ring cam is instant.

Geofencing is awesome

Great to see the new geofencing feature for the eufyCam. I’ve been waiting for this to make it easier to manage notifications. Now the only thing missing for eufyCam V1 is HomeKit! Great job.

Good camera system with some flaws

Installed a 4 cam system after looking at this and the Arlo and bought this as I don’t want my feeds loaded onto the cloud.
However 1 issue I have is the constant notifications which can be annoying. It would be good to have rich notifications so the I can snooze it without having to constantly load the app.
And the AI and activity zone setting doesn’t seem to work very well.....
Also it would be AMAZING to get HomeKit support! Thanks!
