Pathetic and difficult to navigate

Registration process for players and volunteers is pathetic. It was much better in the days when we just filled in a paper form. I had to select a different school for my son to register because your list does not include the correct option. Also as an app it is difficult to navigate.

This app often will not open and just sits for ages on a the rugby xplorer page doing nothing. Today I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it and now I can get into the app but have no access to the junior rugby wa comp details. All very frustrating. Matchday is even worse

I’m not sure who is doing your UX but I find it hard to believe this has been signed off by anyone that has been involved at a grassroots club level. I struggle to accept that we are expected to administer game results through this app with no alternative...we are forced to use it.
I can’t even see the team names of our 3 under 11’s teams because their name is cut off. So how about you get the basics right before releasing updates that mean nothing to the people who use the app for club rugby and can’t even find their team.
I am the registrar for a club of over 500 junior players and almost 100 junior volunteers.
I have encouraged them all to call your help line with their issues, but they call the club committee instead. The release of this half baked app by RugbyAU was disrespectful to the grassroots volunteers and its members.
Just put the effort into getting the simple stuff right.

The font is too small for Apple iPhone.or iPad. Impossible to read on these devices. Others agree and have deleted it. I will wait and see if you do something about it!

Trying to unselect the default teams (Wallabies etc). I will never watch the Wallabies play ever again, so I don’t need to know anything about them.
Developer feedback says to unselect default teams and save. There is no way to unselect and save.

Very poor outside of top level rugby, clunky UI when moving between competitions, lacks results for local competitions, poorly designed hard to use and impossible to move between leagues - seems to be driving the web based results as well and they are just as bad.

Can’t switch between Matchday and Xplorer apps

Will not switch between Xplorer and Matchday app and vice versa. E.g. if I am running Matchday but want to switch to Xplorer, all I get is the blue title screen which then hangs.
The only way to resolve is to shut down device and restart to access the app once you have started the other.
This occurs both on iPhone and iPad, both running iOS 12.2.

Enjoying the app so far, one problem, I can’t figure out how to remove the “Wallabies” from my “Teams” menu. I got this app to keep track of my sons games, not the wallabies games.

Teams can be added but not removed. Why?
Having the news tab as the default is fine if there is actually some news, but annoying when not. If you drill down on a particular result then hit the back button, it defaults to news rather than return (logically) to the results tab. Why?
The top line teams (already well serviced on many other platforms) have news stories up the wazoo, but I’d wager the Bullamakanka U9s would go a whole season without a writeup.

Good-it seems simple once it works.
Bad-can’t get rid of some teams (Wallabies, 7s etc) set as default
Finding community teams, which is all I want to do, is hard and confusing especially requiring “save” once you already selected the club and team
Can’t add a competition and then filter by club or grade which you could on rugby link or see the full round for this week (only the team you “add”
Can’t see team lists easily
Can’t see highest point scorer/tryscorer etc or filter by club/grade/scoring type as previously could
For larger clubs you can’t find all grades if they aren’t all on page 1 and they are just randomly ordered ie I couldn’t find 3rd grade but could get under 10s and heaps of junior teams but there’s no order, seems random
